So I just feel like there is NO WAY these items have a value of over $200 but what do you think?! Also would you guys like to see a video of me recreating this box at Home Goods? (since I already purchased the items 😂) Let me know all your thoughts! Love ya💖
ABSOLUTELY A RIP OFF! Still love watching you and your videos. But I also feel bad that you get jibbed on your money in the expense of our entertainment
That hellcube sounds like someone’s first woodworking project: poorly cut pieces? Check. Unsanded edges? Check. Glue everywhere? Check. Random nail sticking out somewhere? Check.
A bag with a bad joke, a giant Chux cloth, a pointless sign, a plastic plant, a carry box with unusable carry handles, a swing for a teddy bear... they should have paid you to buy it!
I don't even really see a 90 dollar value. My local DG has the swing shell for I think 13 and they have very similar plants. They updated there home decor section and you could easily redo this box cheaper.
Okla. still has plastic bags but they're super thin. I usually use reuseable ones. If I happen to forget them I'll ask for paper. The tote would only hold a few items vs the reuseable sack type bags.
The plant, the "rug", the cube, the sign, and the tote bag all scream dollar store! The shelf is maybe Home Goods lol I think Bart Simpson said it best: Craptacular!
Better to just shop at a home decor store and get things you like! Decor is such a personal style, I don’t see how a subscription box could suit everyone.
I agree. They should at least have two to four different categories that you can pick from. Like 'rustic, country farm, vintage', or 'modern minimalist', 'floral romantic', or 'international traveller'.
The plant comment, true story: when I found out we were pregnant with our oldest, I was instantly sobbing on the floor telling the nurse ‘no, no, no! The poor wee human inside me! I can’t keep a plant alive.’ I was almost 28!!! Still can’t keep a plant alive but I’m happy to say our children are alive and well, in their 20’s and on their own. It’s a miracle. I still walk around my house with that can air to dust my plants! 😂😂😂
On the bag convo: I would use a canvas tote for home goods (though not that one!). I use cloth bags/my backpack for pretty much any kind of shopping to save on plastic bags. That being said, I (and pretty much everyone I know who uses re-usable bags) already has dozens of totes, and wouldn't be super excited by receiving a tacky/free advertising one from a "luxury" home decor box.
I actually do use canvas bags to carry home decor, but I don’t have a car and need to carry everything I buy home with me. If it’s small enough to carry it goes into a strong bag and if not, it has to be ordered online…
These items all gave me the $5 Dollar Store vibes 😏 ..and you MIGHT be persuaded to buy an item if they were on the %30 off shelf. ..then take it home, and after your shopping frenzy, realize it's all horrible and falls apart, so you never use it, then keep it for six months in a box somewhere because you don't want to toss it in the trash because you don't want to admit you wasted your money.
I thnk maybe $40-$50 tops for that stuff, especially given the quality. Dollar Tree or Dollar General probably has comparable items. You look so pretty, as always!
The thing is, no subscription box claiming to be worth more than what you paid is ever going to be a sustainable business model. I think this is why one sees so many repeat items that they probably have in bulk and need to get rid of. Like weird colors nobody bought. Or they just straight up lie about what things are worth.
I'm guessing home goods is like at home which is pretty much like a big store full of like carpets tables some furniture and stuff like that but at home has decent sales
All I see with these cutsie stuff is extra stuff to dust. Especially living in the Caribbean. I'm very minamilist when it comes to Home Decor. And a side note... the darker hair looks really good on you
How would you ever remember to "live simply" without a pointless knickknack to remind you by cluttering up your house? Although I do enjoy watching you make fun of overpriced junk, the box is clearly a rip-off.
Hi honey! I've been loving the variety of content lately 😁 I'm excited to see you attempt baking again one day, I hope 👀😂 watching you always makes my day lovely, wonderful and fantastic ❤️
If you like the colors of the little "live simply" plaque, you could just cut a picture that you like to fit it and use a double sided photo tape to make it stick.
The wood organizer is perfect for outdoor dinning. The bottom side will fit napkins. The compartments above silverware, salt pepper, condiments, etc... The rope handle are to carry it. I have something similar. That's what's it's supposed to be used as. about could also put a notepad on the bottom & remotes un the top along with pens, etc...
I use that type rug during the summer for if I am going for picnic or sitting on the grass for a concert we're at or just sitting under a tree and contemplating life.
The city I live in charges for single use plastic bags. With this being the case, we take reusable bags with us to all the stores we go to. Since it's become a force of habit we take them into store located in areas that don't charge a bag fee.
I might use the reusable tote in Home Goods or something for a blanket. If the weather were particularly rough on a day, or if I hadn't cleaned my car in a bit, then I'd probably want a bag to protect whatever I was bringing home. It also makes it easier to carry stuff into your home. I like that you had the "Live Simply" sign upside down on the display. Sort of an artistic take lol
I defiantly use my reusable bags even the thick cloth one's for grocery store's, target & wal mart, home depot, ross, tj max and pretty much anywhere just to avoid using plastic bag's. 🌈🤗 I use my thick cloth tote bag's to hold glass bottle's and or else simply to use for the beach.. Gosh their are so many use's✌
Love your videos. The rug looks a tad thin. I don't know if it would hold up to traffic if put Infront of your front or back door. Really like the wood box and shelf. Wood and metal are right up my alley. Have a fantastic week.
I don't know how many other states have similar laws, but WA and OR have outlawed single-use plastic shopping bags. Out here, you'll definitely see people at the Home Goods with their own bags. Granted, those are usually giant IKEA bags that'll hold a medium-sized child, but that's beside the point. :D
6:41 I wonder if you could get some chalkboard paint and paint that to be actually little chalkboard? It could be really funny and cute in a picture collage wall or something like that! You could write in it some funny inside joke or just a word that fits your gallery wall?
Cube uses office: pencils, pens, markers, post it’s in the top and have envelopes in the bottoms hole Dinner party: silverware in the top and napkins in the bottom Make up: brushes in one or two, stick make up in the others, pallets in the bottom Pantry: you could put like drink mixes, tea bags, hot coco
Instant coffee. (Sorry i posted while re adjusting myself when sitting) You could do a tray of creamers in the hole in the bottom. Cleaning: you could put cleaners in the top and rags or sponges in the bottom. Bathroom: toothpaste in one, toothbrushes in another, face wash or hand soap, lotion and keep wash cloths in the bottom. Or stock it with girly items like regular tampons, and super, pads and panty liners and in the bottom put flushable wipes. I know it isn’t made well but they are super useful
You could put it by an outlet and make it into a charging station. Maybe have one box for camera batteries that need to be charged and one for the ones that are
Right as you are discussing the details of the wooden cube, the video breaks for an advertisement: the advertisement shows a person falling through wooden stairs!! LOL I thought that was appropriate….🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣
I live in WA state and we have a plastic bag ban so you either bring your own bags or pay...in every store. I rarely get bags at a store and bring canvas bags, including very big ones, into every store I go to.
I've gotten plaques like that before. I usually stick a cute picture of my kiddo or cat into them, place a piece of Lexan or laminate the photos and make it into a photo frame. I think the wooden box is a wine rack, or at least that's what my friend does with hers like that. Back home I had a floating shelf like that and I mounted it into studs so it didn't come off the wall, and they were pretty expensive. I very much would like to see you curate a home goods box.
We haven't been able to use plastic bags in years in my home state then I moved to California and they were starting it so I'd use the tote for everything
My mom gave me a live plant as a housewarming gift and I am AMAZED it is still alive. I've been here 6 years and I remember to water it maybe twice a year. I killed a cactus once. She has a green thumb which I did not inherit.
You could easily get a free sample of a colored chalkboard paint and paint the inner part of that “live simply” sign to make it your own little chalkboard sign

Hey guys! So I just feel like there is NO WAY these items have a value of over $200 but what do you think?! Also would you guys like to see a video of me recreating this box at Home Goods? (since I already purchased the items 😂) Let me know all your thoughts! Love ya💖
I'd love to see your recreation!
Also you look so pretty today!! I love that rich, deep blue on you
Love your recreated boxes; yes please!
ABSOLUTELY A RIP OFF! Still love watching you and your videos. But I also feel bad that you get jibbed on your money in the expense of our entertainment
Yes yes , can't wait for a video where u compare stuff from home goods and this box !
I’d like to see the trips to home goods trying to recreate the box for cheaper :)
Me too. That would be a great series!
Yes!
Yes
I'm not home good even sells stuff this cheap 🙄
I came here to say this!! Would love to see that video.
I feel like, “it’s fine, I mean, it’s fine” should be the next merch items! It makes me giggle each time you say it!
Agreed!!!! LOL!!
Agree!! 🥰
I'd buy a tote bag that said "I mean, it's fine"
Omg YESS 😃 I would buy that!!
Or jimmy
“Jimmy, this is the loudest I’ve heard you whack it before”…..that line was comedy gold 😂😂
Couldn't stop laughing 🤣
Dead, I had tears and all 😂😂😂
Too true!
Also... "I'm seeing wood and I like wood!"
I ran to the comments to find this 😂
Buy some chalkboard paint and cover up the little center rectangle of that live simply plaque and you'll get a little baby chalkboard to use :)
That hellcube sounds like someone’s first woodworking project: poorly cut pieces? Check. Unsanded edges? Check. Glue everywhere? Check. Random nail sticking out somewhere? Check.
Hell cube LOL!
You forgot trying to sell for $100. Every kid makes something similar in class and thinks it worth at least a hundred bucks
A bag with a bad joke, a giant Chux cloth, a pointless sign, a plastic plant, a carry box with unusable carry handles, a swing for a teddy bear... they should have paid you to buy it!
A giant chux cloth 😆😆😆 yes! That was my first thought when I saw it in the wrapper.
She got it right with her last guess I think. It’s supposed to probably be for utensils and napkins and you carry it out to your table or picnic.
I don't even really see a 90 dollar value. My local DG has the swing shell for I think 13 and they have very similar plants. They updated there home decor section and you could easily redo this box cheaper.
I'm like what's a chux cloth? Then I looked it up. Exactly! Lol
@@kingcrimson1204 what’s chux mean
My state does not allow single use plastic bags, so that tote could be used in Home Goods, lol. Would never buy this box but I am enjoying the video!
Ditto
Same here in Australia or they want to sell you a bag for a small amount that often will, hopefully, go to a charity.
Okla. still has plastic bags but they're super thin. I usually use reuseable ones. If I happen to forget them I'll ask for paper. The tote would only hold a few items vs the reuseable sack type bags.
Same here in my city in Canada 🇨🇦
The UK is the same, no plastic bags at all. It's all reusable totes or paper bags
The plant, the "rug", the cube, the sign, and the tote bag all scream dollar store! The shelf is maybe Home Goods lol I think Bart Simpson said it best: Craptacular!
😂😂
Absolutely. I don’t have a miniature house. These are dollar store Knick knack trash
Yeah, they don’t even go together. Craptastic!
I love it when you curate a copycat box. Hope you do this one
Same. I bet hers will be cheaper and better!!
Yes!
Forget Home goods, I'm pretty sure my local Micheals craft store has the same items for under $80 WITHOUT a coupon or a sale.
I can't keep plants or fish alive for the same reason: They make *no noise* when they need something. Children don't have that issue! LOL
@@Waterflame you make an extremely good point!
Canned air!! I had forgotten about it and I’m in need!! Thank you!
My boyfriend calls me a plant killer and I told him the plants don't tell me when they need something. Kids and pets definitely tell you.
@@prairiedog8482 Your welcome! On special occasions, I shine the leaves with lemon furniture oil! 😂😂
Girl. That cube thing is an outdoor silverware holder and the slot is probably for napkins 😳😂
Came to the comments to say this!
That's what I was thinking too!
I use mine to hold my meds. Perfect slots for them
Plus it goes with the outdoor rug. I think it's all meant to dress up an outdoor space.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this first! 😅
I got the blue rug too, it doesn't match my decor but I put it outside when its hot for the dogs to lay on the patio!
This box never ceases to amaze me with how shitty it is. The “live simply” plaque is the ugliest thing I’ve seen in a long time.
“Excuse me, Ma’am, where? Where?” lol We love a sassy Alexandria. I am in total agreement, though! Show us the value, decorcrate people!!
I actually do use canvas bags to carry home decor, but I don’t have a car and need to carry everything I buy home with me. If it’s small enough to carry it goes into a strong bag and if not, it has to be ordered online…
The cube is for cutlery and the underneath cubby for napkins!
Paint over the live simply with chalkboard paint and put your own saying or drawing on it. Or you can cut a picture to size and tape it into the frame
8:12 - "I'm seeing wood, and I. Do. Like. Wood"
Me too sis, me too 😏😂
These items all gave me the $5 Dollar Store vibes 😏 ..and you MIGHT be persuaded to buy an item if they were on the %30 off shelf.
..then take it home, and after your shopping frenzy, realize it's all horrible and falls apart, so you never use it, then keep it for six months in a box somewhere because you don't want to toss it in the trash because you don't want to admit you wasted your money.
I think the cube thing is for silverware and paper plates
I'm glad you kept the blouse from stitch fix. The color & style are very complementary on you.
I thnk maybe $40-$50 tops for that stuff, especially given the quality. Dollar Tree or Dollar General probably has comparable items. You look so pretty, as always!
The wood box is probably for utensils and napkins. Forks, knives, spoons up top and napkins in the bottom slot. And then handles to move to outdoors?
The thing is, no subscription box claiming to be worth more than what you paid is ever going to be a sustainable business model. I think this is why one sees so many repeat items that they probably have in bulk and need to get rid of. Like weird colors nobody bought. Or they just straight up lie about what things are worth.
I'm guessing home goods is like at home which is pretty much like a big store full of like carpets tables some furniture and stuff like that but at home has decent sales

Although I do enjoy watching you make fun of overpriced junk, the box is clearly a rip-off.
Ngl, the "live simply" sign and the wooden cube definitely seem like things I could make, but make less expensively and better
In New Jersey- where plastic bags are now actually illegal- canvas bags are in-fact brought into home decor stores.
I feel like you could get stuff like this at $5 Below or Dollar General
I have definitely seen that shelf or one very similar at 5 below.
Nailed it!
..and then regret spending money on it the second you get home 🤣
Girl, that’s a great episode idea… go shopping with us and recreate the box from home goods!!
I absolutely love that you didn’t cut out that little section of your confusion about the tooth whitening pen! It gave me a much needed laugh ☺️
“I do like wood.” Another classic quote from Alexandria
"Jimmy this is the loudest I've heard you wack it before" - Alexandria Ryan
I use that type rug during the summer for if I am going for picnic or sitting on the grass for a concert we're at or just sitting under a tree and contemplating life.
The bottom slot on the wood cube is for napkins usually and the top squares are for utensils. I mean like you said you could put anything in it
The city I live in charges for single use plastic bags. With this being the case, we take reusable bags with us to all the stores we go to. Since it's become a force of habit we take them into store located in areas that don't charge a bag fee.
Hi, I'm pretty sure the cube wood is for cutlery and the bottom hole is for serviettes. Probably for outdoor bbqing.
I would LOVE to see videos where you go and re-create these boxes at home goods for better and cheaper!
I believe the cubby at the bottom of the terribly constructed desk cube is for sheets of paper, or for napkins if used as dining caddy 💜
There are some states where they can not provide you with any bags. So reusable bags are your only option.
OMG! I was cracking up when the shelf fell. You are hysterical!!!!!😻
Please make a series of recreating this box start at home goods then Marshalls, tjmax, Ross, and 5 below, Micheal s, Joann fabrics, hobby lobby
that cube I would put my wine in.. and the opener and the glass taggs in the open bottom area, it would look cute on the counter 😉 ha
Your videos make me happy, in a harsh world. You always bring a smile to my face. OMG Jimmy wacking loud, wtg Jimmy!
Loved this video. Watching your expressions as you try to figure out how to use these products is priceless!!
Where I live some areas charge for plastic bags. I carry reusable bags in all stores especially at Christmas time.
🙋♀️ I bring my tote bags everywhere! I refuse to pay 10cents for a bag!!!
Your hair looks so shiny & pretty😊
We NEED a video where you go to Home Goods and recreate one of the monthly boxes!
The shelf was the only thing I really liked and I feel like I could make it with a plank of wood, a towel bar, and some thick rope for about $10.
You could use the wood box for wine the hole in the bottom put wine opener in
I take my bags into TJMaxx and Ross all the time - also in some states plastic is banned now.
I defiantly use my reusable bags even the thick cloth one's for grocery store's, target & wal mart, home depot, ross, tj max and pretty much anywhere just to avoid using plastic bag's. 🌈🤗
I use my thick cloth tote bag's to hold glass bottle's and or else simply to use for the beach.. Gosh their are so many use's✌
I have a rug like that, that I use when I lay out beside the pool. Much more comfy than a towel.
You should do that. Go to HomeGoods and get the same kind of thing. Maybe also try it at a higher-end local homeware shop
Your hair still looks amazing!! I think it looks so healthy. I'm thinking about doing something with mine. Thanks for the insperation.
Please go to home goods and recreate this exact box!!! 👏👏👏👏
It really seems as if there should be a drawer for that little "cubby" slot? Perhaps the booklet gives design ideas?
Looking gorgeous as always 😍😍😍
Love your videos. The rug looks a tad thin. I don't know if it would hold up to traffic if put Infront of your front or back door. Really like the wood box and shelf. Wood and metal are right up my alley. Have a fantastic week.

I wish she would show the examples of how they staged the items in the pamphlet. I am deadly curious. 😄
Haven’t even watched yet but commenting for the algorithm 💕☀️☺️
3:45 i bought the red version of that “rug” from the dollar tree a few years ago. we use it under my cats’ water bowl
and if it was still sold at dollar tree, i don’t think it would cost more than $1
6:41 I wonder if you could get some chalkboard paint and paint that to be actually little chalkboard? It could be really funny and cute in a picture collage wall or something like that!
You could write in it some funny inside joke or just a word that fits your gallery wall?
So here in Germany none of the stores have plastic (etc) bags. We all carry reusable bags everywhere.
In Washington they are charging $.08 per bag, so I use reusable bags at Home Goods, grocery store, Target, TJMaxx…etc
This reminds me of Fab Fit Fun.
Do you sell what you don't want in your Apparitions brick and mortar store and some online?
The wooden thing is for glasses and plates
I really enjoy the home decor box and you beating them. I want an Alexandria subscription box 📦
My Marshall's and Homegoods sells those types of bags at checkout so I could def understand that canvas bag being used at a store.
The cube is used for cutlery and the napkins go in the bottom
Cube uses
office: pencils, pens, markers, post it’s in the top and have envelopes in the bottoms hole
Dinner party: silverware in the top and napkins in the bottom
Make up: brushes in one or two, stick make up in the others, pallets in the bottom
Pantry: you could put like drink mixes, tea bags, hot coco
Instant coffee. (Sorry i posted while re adjusting myself when sitting)
You could do a tray of creamers in the hole in the bottom.
You could put it in the living room and use it for remotes
You could put it by an outlet and make it into a charging station. Maybe have one box for camera batteries that need to be charged and one for the ones that are
That wooden box screams WINE to me. And a corkscrew in the little cubby
I use reusable bags for everything!
Right as you are discussing the details of the wooden cube, the video breaks for an advertisement: the advertisement shows a person falling through wooden stairs!! LOL I thought that was appropriate….🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣
I do think the plant and plant holder? Is cute.
I live in WA state and we have a plastic bag ban so you either bring your own bags or pay...in every store. I rarely get bags at a store and bring canvas bags, including very big ones, into every store I go to.
I use reusable bags everywhere including ikea and target
This box seems like something you could scrabble together on a good day at the ol’ Dollarama.
Girl!!!!! Your hair !!!! It looks soooo amazing and think and healthy and shiny !!!!!! XoxoX beautiful XoxoX
For that little sign thing that says live simply I think you should paint the center black so that you can write on it with chalk!
I use reusable totes for every kind of store ☺️
I use reusable bags and totes in all kinds of stores
We haven't been able to use plastic bags in years in my home state then I moved to California and they were starting it so I'd use the tote for everything
Your navy, off the shoulder top looks fantastic!
my mom ALWAYS brings multiple reusable bags into home decor stores
and every other store she ever goes into
In NJ all plastic bags are banned. You have to supply you own to carry your items or buy them at the store.
Other than the shelf I’m pretty sure you could recreate this box at the dollar tree
