The first few minutes is an honest review, and something everyone struggling needs to hear. You're going to be tempted to skip it, but it's for YOU, not for me. The 11 tips starts at timestamp 3:57, but honestly if you're going to skip the #realtalk you may as well skip the whole thing. It's like trying to follow a recipe for BBQ ribs, but you didn't read how long it will take, or the expensive smoker you'll need to make them, and you're like "nah I just need the ingredients, I'll microwave them and get the same results!"
id like to see you do account roasts just making fun dungeon times, rune quality , there choices of monster builds , team comps , how there mons are runed etc ....
@@coreyfaith69 you literally skipped over the part where he's talking about being realistic? And how that not only applies to the game but yourself huh? Went right over your head.
As a current guild leader of a casual guild, the real talk part of the video is the best part. I have the rune quality and monsters to be quite competitive, but time is and effort is something I just don't have for that. I know I'm not alone with this. So in our guild we have an understanding that SW is just a game and should be enjoyed, it should not be a chore and as a group we understand that we all have real lives to live and more important commitments to attend to. Teaming up with like minded people really does help with enjoying the game, coz in the end, one way or another there's something about SW that keeps us coming back.
I came back to the game after a 1-year hiatus (approximately), and even though I already had some good things built, it was overwhelming trying to catch up with the new nat5s, balance patches, and so. In some way, I didn't want to deal with it, and was waiting to watch your video for gb12 speed team (I already had one but I wanted the dot team for SF10, too), and stumbled upon this video. It really helped me getting some motivation for this, thanks a lot Bagel! You've been doing a great work all these years for this game, and I truly appreciate it.
In my opinion the most important takeaway is to be honest with yourself and your goals. Then, prioritize your goals and work on them on by one. I was overwhelmed aswell and feel your struggle so this helped me a lot a few years ago. Luckily, a lot of nat 4s, some nat 3s and many 2nd awakening monsters are pretty good so you don't necessarily have to have a huge amount of nat 5s. Sure, they help but f2p players have some options. At least to clear everything in pve and also to somewhat compete in pvp.
Can't lie i was one of these people. Decided to make my life harder, made a new account and started fresh to learn. watched your 24 hour long guide and my lord the progression and difference in account quality/knowledge is obscene. Thank you for being you
Teaming up, I honestly think, is the biggest factor. Came back to the game recently after two years of 0 SW contact. Joined a fantastic guild and some guildies have spent 10+ hrs with me setting up PVE teams, siege defs, cleaves, rta drafts and helped me practice RTA. Definitely couldn't have done it all myself!!
💯💯💯 so true!!! did not realize how much holding onto my old dusty guild was hindering me until i joined a good one. my only friends in the game after years of playing, and they have helped me learn and grow so much. had no idea how much i was missing out.
I think one of the best goal to focus as well is to max the towers, especially since it makes minimum rune requirements much easier to attain. This is applicable to arena and dungeons, such as Tricaru teams or one shotting waves with Lushen. Learned this the hard way, Tricaru weren't teaming up with 4 mons, grinded Arena consistently with poopy defenses, kept saving my arena points until I finally reached defense minimum requirement that my runes couldn't reach, now it's more consistent than ever.
A little bonus is to use shapeshifting stones with the correct skins for dungeon monsters, I just recently used the halloween transmog for Verdehile, and it really helped speeding up the run even if it's just by a few seconds. As long as you get the research that are specific to this, it will really help.
Several years ago you made a video similar to this and I listened and applied what you said and my account became 100 times better. So much thanks for these fire side chats.
Loved the disclaimer/intro at the beginning, and the rest of the video was excellently put together as well. I think you would make a great life planning/advice giving UA-camr. The kind that helps people make plans to achieve goals in life, get their life back on track, become motivated to their goals, plan a life timeline plan etc.
I have additional tips, dont build a lot of account. If you have a lot of time but f2p (no buy crystal), you can have 1 or 2 more account to build when main account have no energy left. If you dont have time and still f2p (no buy crystal), just focus on 1 main account. When no energy left, play other game or interact with family / friend.
This is excellent advice. The first 2 minutes could be game changing to hear for a lot of players. I've been playing SW since 2016 and the day I realized that this game can be played non-competitively was the day I actually began enjoying SW.
The most important thing out of all of this is the last part. I've been very lucky with the guildmates i've had so far, from my own c3 guild all the way to getting legend on the old gw system. Having good guildmates will not only make you a better player by communicating and sharing teams but it will also make the game more fun. And another plus is that you'll have ppl to compete with that aren't on the leaderboards which is more realistic(or sometimes they are and you get to complain about them whaling :P )
this video may be intended for summoners war but u have stated many facts that are applicable to other gachas as well - amazing video(and wake up call for ppl with unrealistic expectations)
Love how you express your level of empathy for others. Shows your raw personality. The fact you're a realist is the reason I admire your advice😅 been subbed since I downloaded the game the year of release. I've said some mean things a few yrs ago about dropping content on this cash cow of a game to another cash cow of a game like Pokemon Go. But this game doesn't even compare as we all know lol. Glad you ignored my ignorance an kept up the content for this game. So now that was expressed I'ma rewatch the video cause I been typing this squishy message. Much love 💪🏽💯
My guy Jewbie, this one hits different. Thank you for sticking around and been years already but you are surely an SW gem to have. Totally agree about everything in this vid.
just started again with my 2500 days old account. build dot team and tricaru. rift beasts nearly SSS safe, need some improvements. next step for me is raid 5. currently farming some good rage runes for my DDs :) but it takes all time and i just trying to do all step by step, like u told us. im happy for these tipps and enjoy ur content :)
Dude... Thank you. Thank you, because you're giving real talk and HEALTHY real talk! So many people need to know and hear this. You're a good friend to so many of us.
Appreciate you Gamer! I've been playing since the beginning, and you are not wrong. I've probably spent around $1,000 on the game, which might be laughable to some top tier players, but at this point in the game I'm just trying to enjoy the game for what it is. I'm prioritizing my PVE teams and worrying less about about being competitive against seasoned players. I don't hate players that can spend that kind of money, but I cannot. I just want to enjoy the gameplay, build cool team that synergize and work, and hang out with my fellow summoners!
Two tips i dont follow is one i dont rta when i have a decent bruiser team i could just auto with while farming runes. Two is i dont use tech. Im also not trying to climb high either. I do all events, daily and monthly stuff. I maintain my account and build new 6 stars every week even if they are just rune placeholders. I just improved my tricaru by 10 secs. I also dont complain about my ranking or place in the game cuz i understand how much i put in and where its going. I probably still wont use tech but the rta thing i need to do. Its an ld and legendary scroll every month. Ill get on that. Thanks Bagel
Before even watching more than 5 second I know this is the video I need. I just returned to summoners war after a long break (seriously, haven't played since they released the dimension hole). I decided to make a new account, and in a day and a half it is on par with my main account. Meanwhile, I struggle to make progress in my main account.
Hey Bagel, loved that video! However I do ask that you make a single video to dive a little deeper on Hint #11. There are lots, LOTS of SW tools, but most of them are relatively confusing. SWOP and... Script2Us are the most notable (although I don't recommend making a video on the 2nd one... because you know xD). Still there are many that are useful but they'll be a challenge to figure out.
I made a second acc and bc of my knolledge I catched up with my old acc in only 40 days. Now I am less than 1 year in and have 10/10 high g1 siege, c1 arena and rta, finished toa untill 4 hell stars, have all pve including solo r5, worldboss sss, all raid bosses on sss all f2p and with 250 login, so it is pritty easy to catch up in sw. Great video, agree with all of it ♥
Bagel one of the areas I never see mentioned are Leveling up your buildings/flags in the arena & guild shop. Many players out there have level 5-7 buildings. They are leaving 15% off every stat by NOT leveling their buildings. Getting a Lushen to 2200 atk is much more attainable with the buildings leveled up.
@SchizophrenicGamer I always enjoy your content mainly watch from the shadows . I been playing SW since 2014 . Now currently working on GB12 team so its a matter of runes . i Love the causal playstyle I have and dabble minimally with PVP . Keep up the awesome work .
I really appreciate your videos. They help me so much in this game. My kids see how much fun I have with playing and have started playing it with me. Watching your videos really help me sound like I know what I am doing when they ask me to help them haha.
Mr.Bagel, I've been playing for about 9 yrs with some ups and downs. But the thing I regret the most is not holding on to all my damn LD scrolls at the beginning and doing like 100 summons. And it chaps me when I see a noob with an awesome 5* LD. Great vid though, all in all.
I used to play g3 guild siege. It was one of the most boring experiences ever. Winning the battles was easy, since it was literally the same defense over and over, but it was so boring because it never changed. I find that now, in g1 siege, battles are a bit more fun and challenging, since you occasionally run into more obscure teams. I played rta in the early seasons, but it was so stressful, and I get anxiety attacks easily, so I had to stop not only rta, but all real time pvp games. Like, I can't even play games such as Apex Legends, or I start having heart issues. Nowadays, my interest in pvp is minimal to none. Probably the most enjoyment I get is doing 30 stars in toa hell each month. I'm probably pretty close to being at the end of the road with this game, so in my near retirement, I just chill out in pve content, farming for runes that are not good enough to improve my account, since at this point, I need quad spd rolls for improvement, and the odds of a quad spd roll are 1 in 256 if legend, and legends are rare as it is.
Honestly, my biggest problem is that my rune storage is constantly maxed and I'm unsure what to keep and what to sell. Lije can't really do dungeons because of that, simlly because I'm way too big of an hoarder when it comes to these runes ^^"
Thank you for this!!! Like seriously I just came back because of the Assassins Creed collab after nearly two years off. My problem was always limited time, AND the fact that I am a monster collecting ho...not a rune one...lol. I collect and 6 star monsters like crazy but my rune game is weak AF and THAT is what is causing my stagnation issue with progression. I DO NOT do PVP, has never interested me and except for some GW content that makes you do it, its just not my jam. Whole reason I stopped playing was having little 14 year old kids trying to tell me, a grown a$$ man that "You HAVE to be on" at insert time or you HAVE to play a certain amount...(0.o) I have two jobs, four generations live in my house and your going to tell me when and where I have to play a mobile game?!? Got in with a very casual guild who knows my time constraints and are helping me navigate all the new content, and so far so good. Great advice all around Bagel, followed you since year two of the game and I am glad to see your still out here killin it!!
The main thing that made this game fun for me is knowing I'm worse than some others, I started my acc alittle over a 1,000 days ago, so I just keep in my mind that people are going to be better than me and I've played games where paying is essentially and it's never as fun because then you expect some type of payout, "guardian or ld5s in summoners war" not hating on people who spend, just not my thing
When I was newer, I pretty much didn't 6* majority of my mons lmao. A lot of people asked me why I don't 6* my stuff, but by now I've learnt my lesson.
I think that time is the main factor of whether or not people stay with the game or are on and off. I used to love playing this game, but never could spend loads of time farming runes and such. I mean I know I have the proper units to do things but can't do them. For example: I can't do any of the B12 dungeons because my units don't have the proper runes, and I'm not able to farm said runes because I can't dedicate the time to farm. Which is the case for most new and returning players. They simply don't have the time to dedicate any more.
Thanks jewbagel! This video basically convinced me that I don't need to come back to the game. Always love your content, and it's pretty clear you have been burned by this game a few times, and I appreciate you being the devil's advocate for those who may or may not experience these without your advice.
I one of those who needs to seriously focus on the game, after 9 years of playing my account has a lot of potential, but I have no focus, there are time when I keep farming almost all day, and other times that I just casually login to do dailies and events and don't focus as I have to
Been playing the game pretty casually on and off for the past 8+ years. Ever since the start I found PvP not super fun, so I don't focus on that. The only things that keep me going back to SW is seeing my cool monsters/new transmogs that come out for them and interacting with chat.
@@minty8429 right?! I mean it's fair to assume most top level players are using SOME sort of macros or something but I always assumed using tools like that would get a player banned.
Yes it can get you temp banned if you don't have software that is sophisticated enough to avoid the ban detection like macros. I doubt these people release that info because com2us will probably make a way to counteract it. But yes Macros get you temperarily banned. I saw this video, set up a farming macro and got banned for 24hrs. Kinda annoying...
@@s66733 I'll be honest, I'd be interested. I'm not a pvp player but I'd love to farm way more than I have time available. it sure would be nice to have a way to do that. just don't want to get banned
btw, isnce I know you have some of the Demons, use Wind Demon vs water/wind Dimensional Predator!. He will stack up on the trash spawns during down phases and with Attack Buff and Defense Break on the Predator literally oneshot the Boss in Stage 3 with easily 1.5 Mio Damage once he receives the buff.
Vid is sooo true, i used to play alot and was steadily getting g1 and g2 finishes in arena. I took like a 4 year break and i still havent seen a gold star leat alot a fkn red 1 again
I came back after playing on/off for 4 years. I been playing for 1 year straight now. Casually grinding runes, progressing pve content. I made a good arena offence team, i have dungeon teams, i can do r4 with high success. I didnt have the brain for this shit when i started.
yup agree, I just want to achieve good PVE such abyss dungeon, TOA, rift dungeon, etc, and collection of nat 5, not really want to be competitive at rta or even reach SWC lol
I watched this a lot, I am proud of my account but I just want to know why I can’t do things like get passed 1250 in arena, maybe just trash runes I need better ones lol just gotta keep grinding
I only disagree with point 8. Because farming scenario for exp is my go to after I have finished my dimensional runs. With exp boost active, scenario i can make 4* and 5* food very consistently via scenario runs on hell difficulty, just from 3* monsters sitting around in storage.
What helped me with catch up (3 1/2 year into the game now plus just got first LD5) was probably being off work for about four months because of an injury and brother lemme tell you - the time I had to farm? Ye didn't matter I didn't have units for shit, I was making progress. But I never had any motivation to do any RTA so I'm still C3 normal Arena, F3 RTA - and I'll get into that a lot more. Plus ye, have Maxi now wo I will cleave like no ones business.
I've been playing for over 3000 days and still stuck on C2. Sucks I know, but I'm not a competitive player. I just play to get monsters and six-star them just to fill the collection. Somehow C2U bless me with good summon RNG with a collection of 1200+ out of 1400. Still playing and hoping for more LD5 summons.
Heres how to progress your account 1: make a stable team for all dungeons on highest difficulty, 2: build the meta teams for the said dungeons and 3: start farming lots of runes
I came to a realization that running a restaurant business and trying to compete in summers war at the same time is unrealistic. I have to focus on one and I chose what made me the most money. Therefore, I deleted the game l two years ago.
You know what are my expectations? To play RTA on my lvl (fighter) and not getting auto'd by guardian players. That's all, my chiwu has base+169 spd with my almost fastest swift, that sux, but I still would like to feel that I am hitting a wall where I have to start to farm to increase my runes quality, not throw my phone through the window whenever I see guardian wings.

Thank you.
As I rolled my eyes at 9. You explained and have inspired me to.... RTA...
“Instructions unclear, I accidentally built 20 monsters to 5* max and awakened.”
-new players probably
I did this I have 35 6* mons built and 40+ 5* mons built I regret it I've been playing for around 250+ days
When I was newer, I pretty much didn't 6* majority of my mons lmao. A lot of people asked me why I don't 6* my stuff, but by now I've learnt my lesson.
Got a sub even if I never watch your videos again…
Because the cations at the start.
Facts>feelings
I’m f2p and I play casually! This video is great!
They simply don't have the time to dedicate any more.
this feels like a real heart to heart attack, and I need more of it because I know I'll just procrastinate... 😔
100% me also
#9 and #10 - I needed to hear. Thank you. I’m a 7 yr casual player. That still has crap dungeon farming teams. 😂 I’d classify me as a collector. Hehe
started today. i'm more overwhelmed and have no idea where to start and what to do right now... feel like i have to do 100 things at the same time
most helpful tip for me is not starting too many monster building projects at once
Skimmed over the description and now I'm wondering when the video for microwave BBQ ribs is coming out...
Thanks jewbagel! This video basically convinced me that I don't need to come back to the game. Always love your content, and it's pretty clear you have been burned by this game a few times, and I appreciate you being the devil's advocate for those who may or may not experience these without your advice.
Dude destroyed my goal to become Legend that I'm workin on for years in merely seconds.
wow! that was a lot to cover but thanks for taking the time to do it!
i honestly needed that first bit of the video thanks!
goat video of 2023 , thx baggle
You said "Use automation tools to farm 24/7" at around 10:12. I've wanted to do this but thought it was illegal, is it not illegal?
It's very bannable lol don't recommend
Bannable yes, illegal as in getting arrested by the police no
He said it so casually too. Maybe that's how he farms all his accounts
It's bannable don't do it. high level rta players have ai's that are much harder to detect than an auto clicker or macro
Damn... I can't believe this video is going to make me re download summoners war so I can get to c2 as my goal
I one of those who needs to seriously focus on the game, after 9 years of playing my account has a lot of potential, but I have no focus, there are time when I keep farming almost all day, and other times that I just casually login to do dailies and events and don't focus as I have to
a few days ago I found a 2y old video of you that actually what you said now was in 5 points. and I stick to that
Helpfull. Thank you ! keep up the content I subcribed :)
Been playing the game pretty casually on and off for the past 8+ years. Ever since the start I found PvP not super fun, so I don't focus on that. The only things that keep me going back to SW is seeing my cool monsters/new transmogs that come out for them and interacting with chat.
Thank you so much for this! Alot of good stuff in here!
Great advice! Thanks for sharing. Green Belt in Karate OP....
Love the intro, people with gambling issues need to hear that shit.
my question is with TECH. wouldn't using auto farm macros get you banned?
When I hear automation tools to farm 24/7 it sounds like he's telling us to use a bot to farm.
That intro is pure facts.
Can attest to the 'focus' element. New player, just a month old. Appreciate the break down bruv.
Awesome work, glad you mentioned RTA, some SW youtubers had that hurdle like... wink wink.
I want to spend minimal effort, no money, and be in the Top 100 in most categories !!!
I spend like $20 a month. I'm a returning user that took about four years off. I just play for fun. Nice video
I am a newb, only start playing for 3 weeks. this helps!
Come for the Summoners War content, stay for the Cream Cheese Bagel wisdom of life advice.
I was waiting for this motivation
I watched this a lot, I am proud of my account but I just want to know why I can’t do things like get passed 1250 in arena, maybe just trash runes I need better ones lol just gotta keep grinding
Hey bagel can you bring back the experimental dungeon farming grps you used to do? Like try to make dung team with non used mons.
I only disagree with point 8.
Because farming scenario for exp is my go to after I have finished my dimensional runs.
With exp boost active, scenario i can make 4* and 5* food very consistently via scenario runs on hell difficulty, just from 3* monsters sitting around in storage.
JB - Well done. Great vid.
Thanks bagel always appreciate your advice!
Could you list some of the techs that are useful to playing Summoners War. I didn't even know those things existed so it would be useful
Several 290+ sets, some 170+ Despair and Vio sets, most things I can put on Will, got a bunch of good Units by now, too.
Helpful as always ❤
I would like to know more about how to clean up runes. What should I get rid of?
5:03 "the highest purerty"
Heres how to progress your account 1: make a stable team for all dungeons on highest difficulty, 2: build the meta teams for the said dungeons and 3: start farming lots of runes
3 minutes in and i already uninstalled again. saved me time. 9 years is a long catch-up time for classic SW 👀
Great Video, thanks dude!
I came to a realization that running a restaurant business and trying to compete in summers war at the same time is unrealistic. I have to focus on one and I chose what made me the most money. Therefore, I deleted the game l two years ago.
I didnt need the opening of the video to tell me to get my life together 😂
You know what are my expectations? To play RTA on my lvl (fighter) and not getting auto'd by guardian players. That's all, my chiwu has base+169 spd with my almost fastest swift, that sux, but I still would like to feel that I am hitting a wall where I have to start to farm to increase my runes quality, not throw my phone through the window whenever I see guardian wings.
That was amazing for any and all players!!!
I just found a chill farming guild and done, no stress no mess
Where to get autofarm bots? Or where to go to learn more
Okay what I really want is to get lvl 90 TOA done ..I'm stuck, nothing I try is successful.
This is actually a great video
