Just received a message from a gent who had subscribed to our mailing list & had received the link for the video. One of his hearing aids seemed dead the last couple of days & he had tried quite a number of batteries trying to get it working. After watching the video he changed the filter (which looked clear but hasn't been changed for several months).
He was happy to report the aid is now working well & will now have a filter changing routine! Well done sir!

hi, At around time 6.30 to 6.32 I didn't catch exactly what you said. Here is the subtitles from the screen,

My husband has Phonak hearing aids. They use the CeruShield wax filter and all of a sudden I am not able to get the wax filter out with the CeruShield. I've tried everything and am not able to get the filter even by using a pin to get it centered again. Now what?
Sometimes easier to change the receivers. We recommend changing them every month (wax filters). The Cerustops were definitely easier to change.

Thank you very much. Great question, there is some crossover, for example you can use Nanocare filters made
by Widex in many hearing aids, a lot of Signia/Audio Service, prev gen Phonak and Unitron or in their current and prev custom tips if specified. Starkey have their own filters, Demant (including Oticon and Bernafon) use the same filters, easy to order the wrong ones so good to check with your audiologist or order from them.
My audiologist put resound’s manufacturers wax gaurds in my widex rics, (I have the newest ones, the moment Sheer, and still works,.. it’s the same type of wax guards probably,.. i guess it depends which type it uses
Probably made by Widex Nanocare are the best due to the Teflon coating
