    I have 4 1/2 year old Resound hearing aids and the microphone keeps going out. Can I buy the microphones and change them out myself?

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Dawn...if you are talking about that "table Mic" device, yes, you can purchase that from the practice you got them from. They can sell you a replacement and then it must be re-paired to the aids. If you are talking about the Mics in the hearing aids, that's called a repair of the hearing aids. 4.5 year old aids CAN be repaired but I would recommend you get the hearing aids checked out to see if that's the only problem. Most Audiologists offer a repair with a six month warranty bundle because the manufacturer does it that way. We in Tulsa charge $250 flat rate for those. The Table Mic is another thing though.

    I’ve been using my reSound Linx 2 for several years now with iphone.I just got the new reSound One hearing aids. I want to be able to switch back and forth. Is there a way to connect both sets of hearing aids to my iPhone 11?? I have tried everything with no luck. The Linx2 uses reSound Smart the reSound One uses reSound 3D. Since it’s two different app I thought it should work. Can you help me to connect both pair of hearing aid to one iphone 11? Thank you.

    I know this video is a year old, but for Android users, PURCHASE THE RESOUND PHONE CLIP!
    I was very displeased with trying to use my Android with my Resound one hearing aids until I hooked up the phone clip. The phone clip allows real hands free use and drives the volume much higher than my phone alone. It is worth every penny if you stream audio or use your phone in areas with high background noise. I generally set my heating aids to the self assigned program, turn off the bluetooth to the hearing aids, and run everything through the phone clip bluetooth. I've also discovered that I need to disconnect bluetooth from my hearing aids when my phone is linked to my car without the phone clip, the volume just isn't there to overcome road noise without the phone clip.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 роки тому +1

      Recently there are BIG problems with software updates on both Android and iPhone devices relating to streaming. They are being worked out. Getting a phone clip? Awesome!
      BUT, streaming to a phone depends upon the updates of the hearing aids, updates of the phone's operating system such as iOS 15.5 or Android 10, then updating the app. But some phones will not work. The worst phone for streaming is the Droid G20...it's bad...but it's the phone's fault!

    • @scottsellers9039
      @scottsellers9039 2 роки тому +1

      @@HearingSolutionCtr My phone is a Note 10, fully up to date, Resound ONE 9 fully up dated. The phone clip makes the difference between not hands free sorta ok in a quiet room, to hands free in a fairly noisy environment. Streaming is nearly as good as most ear buds, better than most. Before the phone clip it was only usable in a quiet room. So you have customers using the phone clip with android? My provider admitted mine is the first they have ordered and I've had to learn the nuances on my own as they have only worked with I phones in the past. I was actually dissuaded from purchasing the phone clip and ordered it after being discussed the first week.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 роки тому +1

      @@scottsellers9039 Scott what you are experiencing is a problem for a while. I haven't looked at the FULL compatibility of the Note 10. Just like the G20 fully updated that still gave us fits, I don't know about the Note 10. Phone clips are bridge devices that work EFFECTIVELY for streaming. Every day, 33 years in a row, I learn new things I gotta add to the practice. That's what makes us different.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 роки тому

      Several things:
      1. Make sure your phone and app are updated. As phones become older, they might not be able to run. But updating the app and the phone's software fixes a lot of issues.
      2. Restart the phone about once a week. This resolves a lot of connection errors.
      3. If that doesn't work, your hearing aid provider should be able to help you by doing their office tricks.

    Does talking on the phone work with the android device and phone ? Or does it only work with the iPhone ?

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  4 роки тому

      YES, Andriod works. Now, you must have a phone that has 10.0 software to run it. Probably needs to be a Samsung S9 and later. Droid is always a little buggy on apps. The iPhone puts the hearing aid function in as the base programming then the app controls it. Android comes thru the Bluetooth then the app controls it so what we tend to do is go to the app for ReSound, for instance, and pair it thru the app that pairs it up with the hearing aids to the phone and the app is the bridge for that. But yes, it works the same.

    Can you pair with the tv?

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  10 місяців тому

      So with ReSound as almost every other hearing aid device, it needs a specific streamer device that hard wires into the TV then the Audiologist pairs it to your aids then the app can pick it up so that you can control streaming directly from your TV...muting and boosting the direct streaming. But It's normally a $500 option. It can be purchased at any time for devices even a few year old hearing aids.
