I’ve got a YJ on JK axles (44/30) and 37’s and it is amazing on the trail. The YJ is so much lighter than the JK that strength isn’t an issue. Did the XJ spring swap in the back to stretch it. It’s just an amazing combo.
Build looks good. I also have a YJ be nice to include the prices for average used axle cost and sponsor parts for a more realistic number. This would help anyone like my self that might want to replicate the build
You should add up the cost of everything so the average person that doesn’t have parts laying around and sponsors to be able to do this because I don’t think all of that is around 10k but I could be wrong
Hey good call but yea I’m doing everything at retail cost. I left off the stuff we had laying around but someone else said the same thing so I’ll add the price of that stuff in at the end or maybe next episode
@@forcemotoring1551 on that topic, I'm assuming there will be a build cost breakdown at some point. It would be really cool to give some insight on what is priority. Not all shiny parts help with the build so what is the best bang for the buck for a budget build.
Definitely interested in this build. Might need to drop a disclaimer about these axles being on a YJ vs a JK you might get more bang for your buck because the Jeep weighs a lot less so there’s less chance of breaking stuff
For sure. I think it’s a really cool fit, gained a lot of benefits that the YG axles don’t have. They also have a crazy look to em. I’ve had a lot of friends wheeling on a jk axle with 37s without any problems too so it will be interesting to see what happens
@@forcemotoring1551 yeah also going from a low pinion d30 to high pinion d30 gives you about 30% more ring and pinion strength which is huge. Big reason why I went high pinion on my TJ
Hey brother, I think I mention it in one of the episodes but I’m not sure. We are gonna go back in an upcoming video and set the pinion angle. We were waiting on a couple other parts that would affect it. So make sure you are subscribed and have alerts on so you don’t miss it. More YJ videos coming real soon!
I will definitely sell you a set of Dirty Life Wheels for 10k hahahah. Email us and let us know what you are looking for. We will beat 99% of prices online
So excited for this build. Love my YJ.
Awesome man thank you
10k build that goes over the 10k budget immediately lol
Not yet as of episode 3 we are only at $8100.
@@forcemotoring1551 but that’s not counting the donated stuff like the wheels and tires?
Looking good!
Hey thanks! Wait till you see it after Fridays video!
Looking good, I'm getting Jealous. Might need to do something similar with my YJ.
Let’s do it! I’ll hook you up with a great price on any parts you need drop shipped to you door
BTW - This is great. I know several tech talk peeps who have talked about how something like this would be helpful
Thank you bro. Always trying to get better

That’s awesome! I searched high and low for someone that had done this swap! What are you doing about tiered and drag link?

That’s a good idea. I’ll do it in the next episode. I think the average cost for no rubicon JK axles is around 500-800
Better than on a Toyota ❤😂
Haha
Great, build 👍 doing mine w ruby axles
That’s a great option! The Jk width axles fit so good! Make it look like it’s on 1 tons

I will donate all the parts from my tracer LJ to build a YJ, leaving my budget at the cost of a tub and stretch kit. ;)
I’ve always wanted a tracer YJ!
When installing the axles what did you set the pinion angles to. How did you determine what they should be at

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for in a couple videos after this. Can't wait for the next

Stock shafts in the rear are trash, the flange bends. We bent one just mild wheeling on 35s
Haven’t seen that happen yet but we are gonna put it through its paces. What did you guys replace it with?
@@forcemotoring1551 the revolution discovery series, just under $500 for the pair.
There’s no way all of this is in the $10,000 range with parts from sponsors
I think you will be surprised how everything adds up as we go. We just wrapped up episode 3 and at the end of that we were at $8100
