The scorpio front suspension is a way better construction. It was done a few times in my homeland and i will use it too in my sierra turbo project. And yeah, the rear suspension also a bolt on thing you just need to change the rear differential mount to a sierra one. It would give you about 18mm wider track per side.
That's a great piece of information, thanks! I have spared all the Cosworth parts and will try them on my Sierra Sapphire. I also have a complete Mk1 Scorpio so I will be able to really compare all the different subframe versions and choose the best one for my Sierra!
Hello, the front 280mm brakes are direct fit, u can use Sierra cosworth brake discs, rear suspension can be mounted on Sierra and it is supposed to be 2cms wider
Hi there, my Allante, Crossfire, Escort, Lincoln, and Thunderbird all have automatic transmissions. What can I do? I'm not as industrious as you. Even worse, the 1997 Escort has started to rust. Thank you from Warren, Michigan, U.S.A.
I want to put this engine to my Ford P100. Will be connected with 4x4 MT75 gearbox from scorpio MK1 and with LSD diff. Ecu from this engine need the signal from gearbox. Before u sell it, try to figureout how to simulate this signal :). I will use Ecumaster standalone. And of course totaly new wire loom, becacuse original wires from ford is biodegradable xD
That sounds like a great plan! I will sure be fitting a standalone from the get go as well, so no need to figuring out the original ECU's wants and needs 😄. Couldn't agree more on the wires. They are the worst! 😅
Yeah l like it , a Ford Transit Automatic it is good if you are over50 , lol l am Lazy but l am 67 l am done with manual gearbox changing up & down all the time it is Tiring 🙄🥴😮 Love from Melbourne Australia 😁😁
I hope we get to restore it before the age of 50 haha. Really doubt we'll be putting the automatic box in there.😁 Greetings to the land down under from Slovenia!
I pressed like as soon as I saw the 80s iveco daily
Its also a twin manifold long tube/short tube of course as you said for lower revs and higher for optimal air flow
The quiestion is how weill it behave under boost? I guess the tube length effect won't be as evident.
Friend of mine just bought a ‘’bob’’ cosworth scorpio:) doing an engine overhaul at the moment:)
That's great news! It should be a nice strong engine if taken good care of. What car will you be putting it in? 🙂
@@HappyDayGarage going in a ford sierra;) ofcourse! :p

Hi are you going to be using a hyprid 2wd gearbox?, and a BOA loom and ECU
Not sure yet. If I make the Sierra all wheel drive, then Ford MT75 gearbox, if RWD I'll use a BMW ZF gearbox.
not bad for a slovenian barn find
Not bad at all!

Poorest excuse of a cossie ever there worth nothing
Exactly. The engine is more or less the only good part about it.
Shit under powered engine
Agreed. They should've come turbo from factory!
