I love how Jeff has done about 3 interviews with this same guy and every time he acts like he has no idea what the guys talking about 😂

Jeff did a masterful Rooster Cogburn and i loved his chemistry with Mattie or as rooster referred to her "lil sister". Roosters amazement/amusement at her grit and persistence comes through perfectly the way only Jeff could, in that cool type of way!!! This movie is in my top 10 of all time

Hell or High Water. Excellent movie. His expression when he kills the bad guy who had just kill his friend was phenomenal. A combination of happiness and sadness at the same time. Great actor.
    Best looking hair !

I definitely prefer Jeff bridges line I always go backwards when I’m backing up over Wayne’s delivery

Excellent interview; the real Jeff Bridges is shown. He is present and mindful and the interviewer asks thoughtful questions.
In this case, sticking by a tried and true method worked very well: just a natural conversation with no cuts. 👍

I grew up around the Fort Smith, AR area. I can say unequivocally his accent as Rooster Cogburn was 💯.

This man is a true actor. He becomes the roll instead of the roll becoming his personality. Unlike George Clooney, Harrison Ford, and others who are the same character in every roll that they play.

Enjoyed this interview. Enjoyed the remake of "True Grit" - to me, it compares favorably to the original and I like the focus on the book taking the story in a different direction.
I honestly didn't care much for Jeff Bridges, although I respected his efforts and the career he forged in the wake of the success of his dad, Lloyd, and his brother, Beau. I saw Beau Bridges in "The Four Feathers," a month ago and was struck by his performance, his British accent, how handsome he was. That was decades ago, but right now ranks as my favorite Beau performance.
"True Grit" is my favorite Jeff performance. I was intrigued that he took the role - it seemed risky. Yet, he played a different Rooster Cogburn - which I enjoyed - and Hailee Steinfeld was a pure revelation. All around - to me - the Coen's risk paid off. I even recognized the two hymns, which were the basis of the score, from my church attendance.
So, thank you for sharing this interview. I like how comfortable Jeff Bridges seemed to be, how he paused to clarify questions, how he took time to formulate his answers. The interviewer was good at guiding things along. I have developed a greater appreciation for Jeff Bridges.

Exactly how would you say Jeff Bridges Rooster Cogburn was different? Like to hear your thoughts..
I've seen both the original and remake, the former I prefer far more because of John Wayne, but I think Jeff did a decent job, though out of respect for Wayne, and that it the only film he won the Academy Award for, I think they should've left it be, but that's just my thoughts.

John Wayne had them make a patch out of material that he could see through. Apparently nobody told Bridges or the Coens about this.

The interviewer is great. Sometimes it feels awkward but that's just because it's a real conversation based on research rather than a full pre-planned interview like everything on TV.

His mother's death was "definitely a big moment"? Seems like a shallow thing to say to a man about that.

Excellently portrayed and only Jeff Bridges could have done this movie. Bridges is brillant. Loved True Grit both times. He nailed the character in True Grit. The humor, drama and sincerety was awesome. Jeff Bridges is Rooster Cogburn and his mannerisms. He nailed. Loved the movie. ❤

I’ve talked to so many fans of John Wayne who refuse to watch the new true grit. I tell them to watch it as a completely different movie because they didn’t remake the John Wayne movie. It’s made from the book and it’s done extremely well.
