    I encountered peace after learning that God has forgiven all my past, present, and future sins. I don't go to church but I talk to God every day about everything. He listens, understands, and guides me. Although I keep this to myself, I am happy when I hear that others have a similar experience. I hope all your goals for 2024 come to life.

    Rebounders are great!! Of the spring based, I would hands down say Cellerciser is best. I have that one plus a Bellicon (bungee-based), LOL (couldn’t make up my mind!), and I love the Bellicon for longer workouts, as it’s easier on my joints, and I also love how quiet it is, allowing me to listen to podcasts, the Bible, etc. while I use it. But, I feel the Cellerciser gives me a better health bounce (I feel more gravity on that one, but I’m sure the same could be felt if I had stronger bands on my Bellicon). If I had to choose, I’d go with my Bellicon. The Cellerciser causes me knee inflammation if I’m jumping around on it and doing a workout. Like you though, I got out of the habit of exercising, and that, plus more time reading the Bible and in prayer are my top two goals for this year!
    God bless you, Holly!! ❤❤

    new year's goals and resolutions ? hm ... i will just take the last year's goals and resolutions. the file containing that info is untouched 😆
    wow, knife forging and leather works, lol, that sounds.... well, interesting. and about the app, pf.... i had an idea for an app like.... years ago. MEANWHILE i still haven't learn how to code and make my own app, among other things i had in mind (see ? i told you that my "goals and resolution file" is untouched. lol)
    HAPPY NEW YEAR HOLLY ❗
    btw, the diet thing. there is this bacteria in our gut that takes care of carbs. like... you eat the carbs and that bacteria breaks it down in order for other gut bacteria to extract nutrients from it. i heard there are some pro biotics that have that specific sort of bacteria as well, but haven't looked into it.
    anyway, the lack of enough carbs might be a factor for your insomnia (among other things) idk, i am just trying to help you have a slice of cake without feeling sick afterwards😅
    speaking of feeling sick... i have hangover+cold ... ugh. you have no idea how eerie and sick i feel. idk, i feel like i am floating on air (not in a good way, but in that dizzy way, that can make you loose balance)

    • @Hannah-Hailey
      @Hannah-Hailey 5 місяців тому

      @@LifeDIY Absolutely! Thanks for sharing all your content; I truly enjoy it! I bought the Bellicon brand. A big thing I was worried about was the type of “spring” used. A lot of rebounders use the typical metal springs that have a “shelf life” and can break on you mid bounce, thus causing an injury. The bellicon has bungee springs that don’t easily break. It also has easy foldable legs so you can move/ store it easier. It was one of the best things I’ve ever purchased. In terms of benefits, I’ve noticed an increase in my energy levels, better balance and coordination, reduction in cellulite, and (surprisingly) a stronger pelvic floor. I’ve had four children so that was a huge benefit I was not expecting. It’s suppose to help increase bone density so it excites me that it’s an exercise I can grow old with. Older people that rebound have a significantly lower chance of falling or slipping due to better coordination and balance. I think NASA did a study on the benefits that was mind blowing to read.

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  5 місяців тому

      Hannah, thank you so much for sharing this! I've heard the Bellicon ones are the best. I've also been looking for a good one that doesn't use the normal metal springs. I love that this is foldable too. I didn't know that. I don't have lots of space so I kind of need one that is foldable. Thank you so much for sharing all the benefits you've experienced and mentioning that about bone density. It sounds like you've had all kinds of benefits. I am now so much more excited! I am going to look more into Bellicon today! Thank you!

    • @Hannah-Hailey
      @Hannah-Hailey 5 місяців тому

      @@LifeDIY aww you’re welcome! I really do love mine. Also, I recently just learned that higher end brands like Bellicon create something called G-force for the body. What this does is trick the body into thinking it is heavier than it actually is and as a result burn more calories in less amount of time. Because of this, rebounding can be super efficient and effective for a workout. I hope you find a good one that fits your needs and space!

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  5 місяців тому

      Thanks, Hannah! So far, I LOVE it! I think I got a good brand with the Acon, although I was tempted by the Bellicon. I wish there was a comparison video. When you use the term God, are you referring to a specific cultural model of God, such as the Christian God or the Islamic one, with the respective scriptural doctrines attached? Or is God something more ineffable for you, something that you have felt and experienced, but not formed a specific set of beliefs around?
    Language can be tricky. We assume that we are all discussing the same thing, simply because we use the same word. But often that is not the case at all. Particularly with subjective, emotional and spiritual topics.
    Oh, I almost forgot. Happy new year, you splendid thing. :-)

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  6 місяців тому

      Happy New Year to you too! I love your curious comment. I personally believe in Jesus and I am a Christian. After that experience I did try out vastly different Christian churches back then, so it took time for me to explore that. It helped me at the time to find a church and to continue learning. I think it can be helpful to have one, but only if it's the right one for you and your preferences and beliefs. To me, I think having an organized religion is much less important than your personal relationship. But, for some people the religion and rituals are a big part of their life and culture. I haven't ever thought about mentioning this in any UA-cam video before, but I've just decided to be a bit more open in what I am sharing. So thank you for this great question and conversation!

    • @raceyjaseyAP50
      @raceyjaseyAP50 6 місяців тому

      @@LifeDIY "... To me, I think having an organized religion is much less important than your personal relationship. But, for some people the religion and rituals are a big part of their life and culture ..."
      Yes, I feel the same. Whatever we personally believe about our source, it is, by definition, everywhere and in every thing that thrives and grows. Living where you do, you need only step out of your front door and explore the woodland around your house, taking the time to fully connect with every plant and root, to look into the mind of god and move a bit closer as a result.
      Sadly, as we grow up, we become increasingly burdened with responsibilities and commitments, thoughts and fears, until we forget how to just BE and experience the world directly, as we did when we were children.
      I think that loss is greater than we realize.
      Our internal monologue becomes a perpetual hum of static interference that subtly scrambles our connection with the universe and compromises our ability to fully experience our own realities. I've come to believe that sometimes the most "spiritual" shift we can make is to relearn how to become truly still again, to engage more deeply with the present moment. If you could be outside in your forest when the seasons warm; if you could silence your thoughts and internal chatter without falling asleep, and if you could truly listen again as you once did - feel and smell and sense with the intensity of your childhood, God would be there waiting for you. He/she/it never went away. We just cocoon ourselves, decade by decade, with concepts, judgments and noise.
      I'm glad that you are sharing, Holly. I have thoughts on that too, but I am going to pause at this point in case you have moved on from this particular topic. I am also aware that you have a 9-hour journey ahead of you. If you haven't already hit the road, you will no doubt be preparing to do so. I hope that all goes seamlessly with no unexpected concerns.
      My name is Jason, BTW. It probably doesn't matter, but I have not bothered to attach a picture to my Gmail account, and it occurs to me that it must be weird for you sometimes, having personal conversations with nameless, faceless entities around the globe.
      Drive carefully. 🙂

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  5 місяців тому

      Jason, Thank you so much for this comment. I have not moved on from this topic and loved hearing your thoughts on this. You have a talent for writing and expressing yourself. I think you're right that as we get older and sometimes even when we're younger, we're overly burdened and lose sight of some of the most important things. I also agree that we should learn to be calm and still and at peace. I know many of us are losing that ability. Many years ago I had a neighbor in Thailand where I used to live and he taught me this. He saw me going going going and I was unknowingly stressed, and he taught me the importance of being still - he described it as "being bored." It helped me a lot at the time but I slowly forgot the importance. So thank you for the reminder.

      No! I will check for it. I wonder if YT did? I don't think I ever saw a comment from you on this video. Just the prior video about MRIs. Did you just leave a comment today?

      I'm not sure if this might have happened to you, but I've had an issue making comments at times. If I write a comment and then shortly after, I make an edit, or even multiple edits/saves, it sometimes totally removes my comment and I can no longer comment on that video. I hope that did not happen with yours. I hope if you reply to me here that I can see it!

      Hmmm... that is a reasonable explanation. I don't remember when I wrote it but it was soon after you posted. It was a very innocuous comment (I loved your goals) so I certainly didn't expect it to be deleted by you the next day but it never reappeared after that and I was afraid you were angry with me about something. lol. I know. Silly. Anyway, may 2024 be a fruitful year for you!

      Thanks, Paul. Sorry for my late reply. I took a weekend break. Also sorry your comment disappeared. I'm glad you were able to reply here though. I do not understand why this happens sometimes but it's super frustrating. I've had it happen to me a handful of times too.

    I don't know your personal life but maybe you are thinking of having a family and a few children wouldn't be a bad idea, but if you do, congratulations
