Amazing video guys! Having just upgraded from a thunderbucket to a new to us (second hand) Thetford 565e with no instructions, I was somewhat concerned about how to operate it. I can now proudly walk up to the dump point and look like I actually know what I'm doing 😂 My hubby will be impressed.

So glad you enjoyed the video, it gives us such a buzz when the info is found to be useful. Best wishes, Joe and Lea.

Another great informative video. One big tip is to never unscrew the outlet cap over the dump point waste receiver. Never happened to me but ive seen a few drop the cap into the receiver

Hi Gaby, so pleased you enjoyed this video. They are a great brand, we’ve owned 2 over an 8 year period, with no problems. Yes, I’ve been leaving it to hubby to empty too…but next camping trip I’m going to take one for team ‘pink’ and have a go. We’ll video this for a bit of fun too LOL 😩🫣

Simple and informative. We’ve been using a Porta for over 10 years now…..they work. Wife won’t let me clean on dining room table though 😮😊😂

Good video guys, I also had water coming out to fast around our seat on our unit. What I found is where the pipe meets in the tank to the pump was mixing with air, a simple s/steel hose clamp worked treat. Happy travels

So glad we watched this tonight before going to empty our caravan loo, it's been sitting for 3 weeks oops. I will make sure I don't get to close when I take the lid off lol

OMG guys! We had a friend who left his for a while then decided to empty into his home toilet…he got a nasty surprise, complete with spray over the walls. LOL, off you go and do it now Jon!

@@RoaminWithTheRubes unfortunately Jon has broken his foot so I have to do it. Might leave the lid down and open the vent a little at a time. Yikes maybe I should just throw the whole cassette out and start again lol

Poor Jon…and poor you Tracie now having to do this task when you know what can possibly go wrong. Wishing you the best of luck 🤞

Where do you store it when travelling?

Hi and thanks so much for watching. We stow the portapotti under the table of our Jayco Hawk camper. I usually pack a few things around it to snug it in. Never had a leak (yet!) Regards Joe and Lea.
