Well.... if you do it yourself.. it is technically DIY! It does not need to be complex!! Often, it's more creative and easy to make! But you can make it as difficult as you want! :)
I love your passion I’ve been a plant freak for 48 years! My favorite is staghorn ferns any variety and a string of things, mainly string of hearts, derogated, and regular and string of turtles
Thanks for your videos! You’ve inspired me to be a plant mom - I have 4 plants and after a month they’re still alive! 🎉 Ps. Every time I water my plants I literally think of your phrase “drown that ho” 😂
I have the opposite problem... I'm like, "Who put the floor all the way down there?!? If I go down there, I don't think I'll be able to come back up!" LOL, and I'm scared of heights! 😆
Omg I just presented a neuroscience in vivo imaging techniques mini seminar and I used step brothers references at the beginning and end. So much room for calcium!
I place them high with no access or grow some cat grass for them to mess with...then when you see them mess with your plants remove the cat with no interaction/stimulus (don't even talk to them) then place them near the grass for them and then praise the crap out of the cat when they're near the cat grass....it'll take time but it works...and make sure the other palnts aren't poisonous for them. Hope this helps...good luck!
Fun fact, spider plants are non toxic to cats and dogs, according to the ASPCA. My cats love eating them. I did a lot of research with all my plants after I got my cats, they wouldn't leave my spider plant alone no matter what I did. Spider plants contain chemical compounds that are said to be related to opium. While considered non toxic, these compounds can still result in an upset stomach, vomiting, and diarrhea. For this reason, it is recommended that you keep cats away from the plants to avoid any spider plant toxicity, regardless of its mild effects. Like people, all cats are different and what affects one mildly may affect another quite differently.
As I needed more plant space over time I just kept putting up more more folding tables. I like this simplicity and efficiency of it because I have four South facing windows with plants right now. I don't know why but I seem to keep getting more and more plants.
@@PlantswithKrystal Anytime. May you have more sunny days than cloudy and be blessed with rainbows after the rain. May you continue to grow like your beautiful plant babies!! Super hugs from NYC!!
I do this a lot. A plank is all you need. I store soil in a very large pot. I put a plank on it to make space for plants. Wooden crates make it more aesthetic.
I totally can relate to your plant "hoarding" lol I live in Florida and I dread every time they announce a hurricane warning, my room looks like an Amazon jungle inside...lol thanks for the idea I just came across this video
Omg Please hold on super tight to those shelves incase the cart flys out from under you. We need your plant wisdom, so we're going to need you safe. Lol
I think you did a nice job with everything! I'm gonna try this idea. But I would add some rolling wheels at the bottom of the crates and nail the board on the top. It fits just fine across your windows. What type of plant is the FUZZY ONE that you were holding???
I have a south facing balcony with a glass door and a 2-doors wide facing window. Nearly every single plant I own is cramped there. I love your videos, they help me a looot
Now if you put a heavy curtain rod or pressure rod in the middle of the window you can have another place for hanging plants. You can also put shelf brackets in the wall on both sides of the window and put up another piece of wood and have 2 shelves & hanging plants & the new shelf you put in. 3 new places to put Planty things 🫶😁💚🪴☘️🌱🌵🌿🍃
DIY tip: If your space is too small, they will cut the board for you at the store before you leave!
But you still have to measure your room better 😂
But that involves talking to people.... and trying to hunt someone down and waiting for 30 minutes to look for an employee who definitely does NOT want to help you because they're busy with something else.... :3
@@fuzyfuzfuz2 i can relate, but honestly you still can ask nicely, that’s their job. That’s what talking to myself when i went groceries shopping. Lol

This feels like a DIY I could actually make happen 😂
It’s not really DIY…it’s just doing something. You don’t call it DIY when you put a box of Kleenex on a table…

Right?! 😂 Bonus I have extra wood and milk crates in the shop I could do this for free! 💚
Ties back hair in the beginning of the video to show us she means business! 😂❤️
It’s just what you do when you have long hair and you’re about to do something, even eating
We love a good "Stepbrothers" reference.

Very nice plant 🪴 room 👌
You’re so giggly and silly, it’s amazing ! 🪴🥰
For future reference there's a reach tool on almost every end corner at home Depot. Or just ask one of the guys. They have stuff for this
They also have customer accessible ladders (the yellow ones) that you're allowed to use (at least in Canada, when I worked there in college).
I just commented about the yellow stairs 😆 im a merchandiser for HD in the US.
Thank you for not making this a super complicated diy video. I might actually do this too!
Your energy is so joyful...helping me on a really hard day...I know you know❤❤❤

Doing this today! I just repotted and changed out soil in 15 of my plants yesterday. I'm in need of some display shelves
“…so many activities…” 😂❤ what you did!!!

You’re an incredible plant person. And I thank you for sharing your wisdom. Yes you are tiny but I think not a lad, but a lass. Lad is a boy ❤
Get shelf brackets and a shelf with of window for more plants. I have these shelves in two bedroom windows and my kitchen window

The secret is to measure and then USE the numbers for something!🤗
