I don't know if you're joking or not. Why are people depressed, in your opinion? I'm moving there from Nashville in the spring. Ft. Wayne was rated as the number one cheapest city to live in by U.S. News I believe for 2024-25. I'll deal with the traffic there vs the traffic in Nashville. People I see complain about the traffic up there. Come here to Nashville and try to drive around. I'm trying to get as much information about the greater Ft. Wayne area to decide where to buy a house.
I’m not joking. But I think you’ll see if you move here. Of course, there are “good” people … it’s just a certain vibe. I’ve lived here my whole life with the exception of a brief period in Maryland, which I hold as dear memories. I moved back because all of my family are here, and I was a little homesick. But it didn’t take long to be reminded of why I left… 😅 Also, I have had a variety of visitors from other cities and states who have pretty much all unanimously agreed…there’s something about the city that is not pleasant/enjoyable.
How would you characterize race relations there? I'm very curious about the "there's something about the city that is not pleasant/enjoyable" remark. Then again I am also thinking about moving back to Arizona, the Phoenix area. That's the place I call home.

My family and I recently moved to Fort Wayne from Texas, and we’ve really enjoyed how green and lush it is here! Also love being so close to beautiful lakes and all the exciting things to explore in and around FW. Thanks for all the resources you provide!

I used to think like that before I joined the military straight out of high school. Where they taught us something called "esprit de corps" A feeling of pride, fellowship, and common loyalty shared by each of the members. Which was hard to fathom because we had all different types of people from all over. Mexican, Puerto Rican, Guamanian, Korean, Native American, Inuit, Samoain, too many to recall. Loved the video, I am a Fort Wayne native, great to see what the community has to say :)

What are some teenager friendly activities to do in Fort Wayne? Fun stuff!

“You get what you pay for” still applies here.
