Loved seeing Niko get a little frustrated at his actors, not because he was mad but because now I know that it I'm not the only one that struggles getting through a scene while everyone else has "a better idea"
This is 48 hour film project in a nutshell. A gaggle of people (cast, crew and all) are gently arguing about how to do this and that, and I'm in the background, jumping up and down and waving my arms yelling "Guys! We. Don't. Have. Time for this shit!" Yes, maybe some of these ideas are better, but if we don't meet the deadline, they mean nothing. One of the most important things to have is a director who will put their foot down (gently, and with tact) and say "that's great, but let's do it my way." It's a really hard thing to get right if you are working with your friends, or everyone is working for free.

I am writing a paper on warranty void stickers and how they are in some ways illegal. There is an act called the Magnuson-Moss warranty act and it states that (for ex:) if you break your phones screen, you can replace it with any screen you choose and it will not invalidate the warranty. this prevents companies from "tie-in sales" which force you to buy apples phone screen compared to the affordable china competition in order to maintain a valid warranty. since you haven't physically damaged the product (except Wren and those clips) and the only thing you "broke" was the sticker, your warranty should still be in tact. I'm only a freshman in college and I am more likely wrong than not, but I wanted to give my two cents anyway. If Corridor reads this I would like to ask if Jake can do some research and do one of his lawyer rants and maybe put it in a video. I love your video's!
You are right in many ways, but say, if they tried to get warranty repair on the clips, it may not be covered. Those 2 screws are explicitly not covered now, and any damage resulting directly from mistakes with work while those screws are out (eg. not stress on parts afterwards) is also not covered. I am not a lawyer or a professional, just looking at previous cases to guess at what the precedent is. Important note: you will need to sue to get warranty coverage as the makers will likely claim the warranty is invalid.
I’ve heard about this. There is some frustration in the onewheel community about the legality of the warranty stickers. I would love if you email me the paper you’re writing when you’re finished. By law, it won't hold up. But only if you sue the company that refuses service. So if you remove the sticker and the company refuses to honor the warranty, you have to take it to the court which takes a lot of time and money. Most people won't go that far so companies still put the stickers in.
This is the best channel on UA-cam _just because_ they put timers for their sponsered segments. That is literally the most innovative thing I have ever seen.
There are techniques to remove those screws by pulling on the plate while unscrewing it at different drive speeds. Done it many times. Works like a charm - don't give up so quickly!
I have so much respect for Niko's administrative presence and his clear and conscientious approach to directing. Also, Wren's Audible segments are my favorite sponsored bits, too.

So fun fact, it is illegal for companies to void your warranty for dismantling your product because it is your property. Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo were recently sent cease and desist letters saying such and they must remove the labels claiming such.
Technically the Flag Code also prohibits: Using the flag on disposable items, such as napkins, tablecloths, etc. Using the flag on clothing, such as boxers, underwear, T-shirts, shorts, sports jerseys, etc. So... A bunch of people that would get mad at you over not illuminating the flag have likely broken it themselves.

Flag code is law just as much as penal code (criminal code) is law. The bit of flag code you are referring to is subsection (a) of section 6 of chapter 1 of Title 4 of the United States Code, and is Federal law. www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/4/6 I don't think people who display the flag on their porch at night without a solar-powered light [or another form of illumination] are somehow unpatriotic or should necessarily be penalized, but as it stands now it is law, since it is part of the United States Code. It is flag code, as in the things which are together the law in regards to the flag. It's fairly obvious that people break this law quite often - this can especially be observed on TV commercials during the 4th of July season or around Presidents' Day - and some have even argued that parts of Title 4 stand in contradiction to the modern expanded view of the freedom of expression guaranteed within the First Amendment. At any rate, it is law, and breaking it (flag code) is breaking the law. You may be more familiar with Title IX - probably having something to do with your time in high school when you or one of your friends considered it strange that girls had to be allowed on the wrestling team although none of them decided to participate, because otherwise your school would have been required to have another all-girls sport than they would otherwise have in order to receive the same funding as they were, but they didn't want that, so they just let girls join the wrestling team - although, as I mentioned, it is likely that none of them actually did. You probably wouldn't be surprised if I said Title IX is federal law, would you? Title IX is Public Law No. 92‑318, 86 Stat. 235 (June 23, 1972), and is codified at 20 U.S.C. §§ 1681-1688 www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/USCODE-2011-title20/html/USCODE-2011-title20.htm I mean he's an Eagle Scout, so I'm sure he knows a lot more about the flag than most people, and kudos to him for achieving that rank, really, but it is super cringy for me to watch someone on the internet trying to weirdly flex their knowledge of things that they know slightly more about than the average person (kind of like this comment is doing), but then get the information they are "enlightening" everyone with incorrect. I wouldn't have said anything if this comment about flag code had been in any way related to the video and it was just a mistake, but he intentionally brought it into the video so that he could, I deduce, flex? He does this thing with his finger that strongly encourages me to believe that he thinks he is in some way above the people he is dropping these 'knowledge bombs' on, and I think that might be what really drove me to write a novel for a UA-cam comment. I also likely wouldn't have said anything, but that seemed to be the second time in this video when he did this; the first being "sublination" which may have just been a slip of the tongue, but he also described the effect as being caused by the dry ice being "so cold" which is not what causes CO2 to jump to its gaseous phase, but rather is that liquid CO2 does not form under normal atmospheric pressure, so as it heats up from being a solid, becoming a gas is its natural phase change. If I had H2O that was "so cold" (being defined as somewhere around -78.5 C) and then brought it into ambient temperature and pressure; it would melt, into water. Additionally, if you were at 1PMa and brought solid CO2 that was "so cold" into normal ambient temperature; it would melt, into liquid CO2. It is not the temperature (although it plays a role) that causes an element to sublime at normal temperature and atmospheric pressure, but rather that the molecules are so loosely packed that they are ready to escape into a gaseous phase unless exposed to additional pressure, in which case they would become a liquid - as all element do. If solid water (ice) was at around -100C and then brought up to 0C ('freezing') at 100 Pa, then it would sublime into gaseous water (steam), but the difference between this and what we would normally observe would be because of atmospheric pressure, not it beginning at a really low temperature. Triple point of CO2 compared to water: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/40/Comparison_carbon_dioxide_water_phase_diagrams.svg Sorry if me being "that guy" has upset anyone. It wasn't my intention, I guess I don't mind when people are wrong or have wrong ideas, or even when they passively share those incorrect notions to other people who then believe those same incorrect things, but when they start standing in front of an audience and attempting to inform them of things as if they are themselves schooled in them and they are indeed fact and are yet incorrect, that it drives me to feel the need to speak up. I have been watching hours of Corridor Crew and Corridor - or CorridorDigital (main channel) - these past few days, and I love their work. It inspires me to be better at the things that I dabble with and am currently only slightly better than the rest of the population; things such as videography, vfx, storytelling, and being dedicated to a project that you love and being willing to work on it simply because you love it - in fact, I'm probably below the median on that last one. With that in mind, I don't mean this comment to be disrespectful of the channel or the crew, but rather as a commentary on the actions of one person on one day, nor do I believe those actions accurately represent who this individual is when he is at his best. Anyway, wish you all the best, and keep enjoying UA-cam!

The way they treated a great American like Clint is unacceptable Abolish the TSA, they're a waste of money. Hire Private Security. TSA should be a oversight & security standards agency. Not the hideous monstrosity that it is that repeatedly fails to do it's job. No more security theater, let's get real security.
@@KyanNezhad Not that I have a particularly strong opinion on the matter, but a more specialized training of personnel with strong emphasis on psychological / body language screening and overall common sense, would go a long way. Broadly speaking one of the main differences between public and private is the level of specialization. You wouldn't need to make every single agent a professional profiler, but a few specialists supervising key screening stages from profiling crowds to flagging/screening specific individuals (as opposed to random checks) all done low key...it's how special operators and the likes of the Secret Service screen for threats in this modern age. The TSA unfortunately has some of the same issues as many police forces: Everyone is more or less trained the same way which is very much outdated in several key aspects. Namely, in behavioural psychology screening tactics. In no way meant to bash either, emphasis on specialty training would be better suited to the nature or modern threats. Makes identifying (and anticipating) patterns much harder than systematic ones. The best security is the one you don't even know exists. It's a complex matter I honestly can't do justice to by simply throwing platitudes on UA-cam.

It is technically a bomb, or more a chemical bomb. It can still injure people. In some states doing that is a felony.
@@PandaNDuskie we honestly didn't know it was going to be that powerful
Yeah it’s kinda illegal to make bombs
Aren't those Warranty Void if Removed stickers unenforceable now?
By law, it won't hold up. But only if you sue the company that refuses service. So if you remove the sticker and the company refuses to honor the warranty, you have to take it to the court which takes a lot of time and money. Most people won't go that far so companies still put the stickers in.
Corby Dinsburger what part didn’t you understand?
Most companies will comply with the law once you -remind them of- notify them you know the law
This is the best channel on UA-cam _just because_ they put timers for their sponsered segments. That is literally the most innovative thing I have ever seen.
It's an IKEA one wheel!
There are techniques to remove those screws by pulling on the plate while unscrewing it at different drive speeds. Done it many times. Works like a charm - don't give up so quickly!
“If there’s anyone I could trust with a one wheel, it’s a son,” -Cliff, a fellow son
Oh man this was a good one. Like, REALLY good. Probably one of my favorite vlogs you guys have done!
I have so much respect for Niko's administrative presence and his clear and conscientious approach to directing.
Also, Wren's Audible segments are my favorite sponsored bits, too.
I am amazed how well these behind the scenes episodes are edited such that they are informative without any real spoilers to future videos.
16:50 with the power of friendship
I SAWED THIS ONE WHEEL IN HALF AND ONLY FIXED IT WITH FLEX TAPE
Seeing the struggles and difficulty and conflicts when trying to direct really helps increase the appreciation for all the work and effort that makes a great final result/product
I recognize that sponsor music! that's Behelit from berserk! Also, Can't wait to see the next corridoor video!
As a fellow Minnesotan, its cool that you guys come back to film and scout here! No idea where you guys are in the state but thanks for showing off our beautiful little chunk of the US
That Berserk OST remix triggered nostalgia in me so much xD
I recognized that from the OST like INSTANTLY lol
One of the best corridor crew videos in a long ass time. Not saying the other ones were bad... this one was just that good
1:06 No! The logo has fallen apart!
Don't worry, I fixed it.
Jarrett is the nicest dude
...
and also biggest real life Sheldon, for the flag facts
not sure how I feel about that...
PUN ALERT: 1:44 "I'm WHEELING yo take the risk." 😆😆
Clint: try opening an iPhone and put it back the same way
Wren: I have done it
Clint: no, you weren’t supposed to say that
Man this video is so refreshing. They give no two shits, Wren does what he friggin wants with his onewheels, Niko gets frustrated but ultimately does a damn good job of being a leader, you all are doing a fineass job
I already read The First Fifteen Lives Of Harry August. I also recommend.
Ditto. It is really good.
16:50 the most inspiring moment in corridor history it reminds u there's always a another way
I like how there is no response to the question “did you use a microscope?”. 😂
Nice to see how much wren and Clint love their one wheels.
Clint is such a great addition to the team, but having 3 director/actors working at the same time is a recipe for drama.
I like how serious the discussion is in directing the scene but the scene is so stupid in the end. I love it.
Y'all, I can't lie. Clint lookin' hawt as hell in that thumbnail! I know he's supposed to look downtrodden but he looks like he's posing for Tiger Beat. I'd put that poster on MY wall for sure 😉
Velvet Grimm IKR!! Clint is my favourite!
So fun fact, it is illegal for companies to void your warranty for dismantling your product because it is your property. Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo were recently sent cease and desist letters saying such and they must remove the labels claiming such.
Technically the Flag Code also prohibits:
Using the flag on disposable items, such as napkins, tablecloths, etc.
Using the flag on clothing, such as boxers, underwear, T-shirts, shorts, sports jerseys, etc.
So... A bunch of people that would get mad at you over not illuminating the flag have likely broken it themselves.
It actually states that you can't make them out of a flag, clothes with a flag design are fine
You guys just keep delivering on all subject matters. Been on this journey with you guys for years. Last year I felt like this channel got a little click baity with the style and video thumbnails. In videos leading up to the beginning of this year there was a lot of mention how Corridor Digital was going to approach things differently. Whatever those changes were had been for the better on both channels. Keep it up guys. You've always inspired me in your style of videos and just over all creativity and improvisation in problem solving to accomplish a goal.
I'm surprised you didn't just drill the screw out, you'd surely have a 2-3mm bit in the workshop.
But then how do you re-assemble it ?
There are tools to create new threads for new screws.
@@Kynthiann seems like a lot of work ... Plus we don't know what holds the treads under the cover, maybe there isn't enough space for a bigger screw ?
If it is stripped it is no longer a load bearing bolt, drill it out.
man, this one was...emotional. and intense. and like raw and real.
That thumbnail though...
Yaaaas Mr Pikachu
I freaking love when Wren explains books. Another book I'm about to purchase.
at the end he acted like when your friend ask your mom and you ask your friends mom to have a sleep over and then come back to freak out together that it worked XD
this sponsor is the only segment ive ever seen that i think i will follow up on and actually do. nice job wren!
"They're gonna do something.." "We need you to void the warranty..." this shit just got real.
This is now my favorite channel series for every week
The tire is one of the most heaviest parts all you have to do is just ship the frame and bring the tire on the plane
19:04 wow. Thats a great friend. I wish i could have just one of those. All my "friends" totally abandoned me. All you need is one true friend, and clint is lucky because he clearly has many including cliff here. Good stuff.
genuinely thought that was adam savage for longer than i should lol
I do not understand why you give Clint so much prominence, now he became the main character and the characters that made me subscribe to this channel seem like extras ...
"If there's anyone I trust with a one wheel, it's a son."
Every mechanic watching is shaking their head at Clint being defeated by that screw.
Jarrett's flagging flag knowledge makes me happy.
I can flag a flag with the best of the flag flaggers flagging their flags.
i think this was the best episode yet, WAY too funny. Wren reminded me of Kyle Mooney with the "what about us rideen togetheerr???"
Dude i wish İ had this creative crew. Even when they fight is because everyone wants to make the Project better.

While I couldn't relate to the onewheel debacle, I can respect your dedication to bringing your transport with you. Kudos on the work, and I can't wait to see how Minnesota looks from up here.
Jarrett when will your final form be revealed?
In due time
Perfect timing on the Audible ad! I just finished up a book and need a new one. Wren's recommendations have never led me astray
is that adam savage?
Pretty much.
I'm a Budget Adam Savage, to be sure.
you're still awesome tho
It's ok Jarrett, we still love you ;)
I LOVED!!! The audible segment the book and the camera angles and pans gave me goosebumps with the books plot! I will check it out love audible been a member for a few years
Silly one wheeler! Don't give wren crap, he is the only reason I bought one!
14:52 So Clint _has_ seen a movie and it reveals a man of culture.
Could have just use hot glue to stick the screw to the screwdriver and pull it up...
I fine the parts of the "arguing" to be pretty interesting. I like to see them really have a back and forth of filmmakers like this.
The flag segment was my favorite
thanks?
JarrettOriginal no thank you good sir.
That moment where the disembodied voice said riding = freedom added a lot of feel to that, wow.
Flag code is law just as much as penal code (criminal code) is law.
The bit of flag code you are referring to is subsection (a) of section 6 of chapter 1 of Title 4 of the United States Code, and is Federal law.
www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/4/6
I don't think people who display the flag on their porch at night without a solar-powered light [or another form of illumination] are somehow unpatriotic or should necessarily be penalized, but as it stands now it is law, since it is part of the United States Code.

I mean he's an Eagle Scout, so I'm sure he knows a lot more about the flag than most people, and kudos to him for achieving that rank, really, but it is super cringy for me to watch someone on the internet trying to weirdly flex their knowledge of things that they know slightly more about than the average person (kind of like this comment is doing), but then get the information they are "enlightening" everyone with incorrect.

Sorry if me being "that guy" has upset anyone.
6:06 was almost kinda therapeutic for me, I wish I've handled more disagreements with best friends this way. Niko is obviously annoyed, but backed off anyway to allow his team to have an equal voice, while remaining assertive enough to make his stance known. S+ tier leadership
The way they treated a great American like Clint is unacceptable
Abolish the TSA, they're a waste of money. Hire Private Security. TSA should be a oversight & security standards agency.
Not the hideous monstrosity that it is that repeatedly fails to do it's job.
No more security theater, let's get real security.
What are they missing?
Besides maybe more intense (likely more intrusive) background checks on passengers
First time an advert has ever worked on me. That book sounds fascinating and it's downloading right now.
"We want to ride these in Minnesota"
June 1st, 2020 - this hasn't aged well.
Great job on this one guys. I liked a lot about it. I appreciate you guys showing the back and fourth between everyone on the shoot. Made me feel bad for Niko though since he seems like too gentle a soul to disagree with. The way you shoot makes me wonder how life would be if we had those dramatic BWOAHM sounds any time someone said something. Also great job to Wren on the sponsored segment. That's the first time I didn't skip through the whole thing (thanks for the timer by the way, you sly dogs) As a closing bit, Clint you're already a handsome guy without a beard so there's no need my guy.
it's like you can always see it in his eyes that he's stressed or disapointed and yet somehow never takes it out on anyone.
Clint's such a great guy, if he asked me to borrow my car for a weekend, I'd loan it to him.
*And I've never met the man.*
