That grand finals was the most intense set I've ever seen. Blind and Travel were truly evenly matched. Amazing super confirms, awesome combos, clutch parries...one of the all-time best 3S sets.
My friend introduced me to 3rd Strike in 2015-2016. He’d bring his PS3 to our friend’s garage that we’d smoke and hang out in. The whole squad ended up loving the game. Glad to see it being hoisted up into the public again, because it’s an amazing game.
Fun fact: Every super Oro has in SF3 was incorporated into his SFV moveset in some way, shape, or form. And yes, I do mean ALL 7 of them. His close ground and air SA1 throws became his VT1. His bouncing SA2 fireballs became his VS1, both versions of his SA3 (Tengu Stone) was repurposed as VT2, and lastly this super and his SA2 “Spirit Bomb”-esque super were combined to make his SFV super.
This was some of the greatest 3rd Strike gameplay I've ever seen!! That grand finals set had me cheering and jumping out of my chair. Can't wait to see what the next tourney is (Tekken 8 perhaps?)!
