The dreaded noisy/"creaky" cable housings; what a major PITA! That Wheels Mfg threaded BB is such a quality piece of kit. A few thousand miles on my Evil and still good as new. Awesome content Savant.
Never thought about spokes ! Added to my checklist. On three bikes I owned it was the chainring that was creaking, simply cleaning everything and tightening with thread lock did the job. 1 st time it happened I replaced he bb with a brand new one and I realized it was not related 😩
Saddle rail creaks can also be solved with a few drops of lube where the rails enter the saddle. That routinely silences my Ergon saddles. Also, if your fork is out of warranty, green loctite may fix a creaky CSU. A few drips where the stanctions enter the crown may do the job.
ive have this annoying creaking sound on my bike...especially during uphill or any force pedaling....ive checked already this parts and put grease n oil needed...BB, CHAIN, CASSETTE..CHAINRING..CHAINGUIDE. PEDALS...SUSPENSION ARE GOOD.. BUT STILL HAD THIS CREAKING CREAKING WHEN APLLYING FORVE ON THE PEDAL...PLS ANY IDEA SIR?
I fixed 2 creaks on my mtb the other day, the derailleur hanger lock nut was loose and the actual wheel being in the frame creaks so I put some thick grease on the end caps and now its quiet.
I have recently bought a kona process 134 sr , and straight out of the shop it creaked like crazy, they replaced the bottom bracket, and it still does it... its driving me insane. I just don't know what to do! I've hardly ridden it. But strangely, I went for a first ride ride, and after a downhill section, and 32 kilometers later, it stopped creaking, until the next day.... when it started again....
It might be your derailleur hanger make sure it’s lubed up and tight I hade creaking when I put the power down but we saw on forums that that the hanger is a common place for creaks
You can see how I fixed the creacky noise in the insertion of the bars with the CSU of my Fox fork at the link below. ua-cam.com/video/NdBgLaAZ4pw/v-deo.html

Yeah super impressed with the wheels Mfg BB, even the bearings are super high quality.
This vid is A+++++ Great work Savant! I also concur with the Wheels BB and the usage of the green dumonde tech chain lube! That's all good stuff!
Thanks bud, glad to get your seal of approval!
You need more subscribers, sir.
Excellent channel. Makes me appreciate people that fix bikes so much more.
Thnx!
Never knew you could do that pressfit to threaded conversion thing!
Oh man, who is that dude getting all that air at the end of the video??
If ya don't know now ya know!
@@bkxc don't know but I hear he's starting an e MTB channel soon!
I didn’t but what I do know is I’m really good at cross threading things and I wouldn’t trust myself 😂😂
Wheels MFG BB conversion for the WIN! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Yup it's a quality piece of kit.
Another thing to check: hub play. I often need to retighten the axle assembly on my hub with 2 cone wrenches.
Great recommendations. I didn't know about the pressfit conversion, I am going to have to look at that.
Set it and forget!
Finally got my creak sorted via Fox warranty replacement on the CSU. ;)
Woot!

Great tips. I unfortunately didn't have luck with the loctite with my fork. :(
@@mtbsavant5414 Yea, I'm batting 0.500 on Loctite fork fixes.
Just had some creeking bs that turned out to be loose pivot bolts..a quick torque to spec tightening and good to go
Glad you were able to track it down. Nothing better than finding the root cause and riding in silence!

Work with the shop to diagnose it. If it creaks under certain conditions they should be able to diagnose it.
Good Video whit nice audio
Thanks man, really appreciate it
Great video and damn sexy sb150 😉
You know it had to cameo in this video!
