Nice vid, I'm surprised you didn't use a resistor of 2 mega ohm connected between them for protection purpose. Do you know if connecting a simple piezo sensor is similar? I can't find a single resource that shows how to do this and code that detects impacts. Are you still doing these exercises after 6 years ;-)
Thanks man! How can I log the console output in an excel file? I‘d like to log every time the console says „Movement Detected !“ into an excel file with the current time.
Please help me solution I'm using a SW-420 vibration sensor whose output is analogous to a voltage unit. I really want to be able to convert the sensor voltage unit to Herzt (hz) unit. How to?
Hi Dude, great vid. Can you tell me how sensitive you can set up the sensor? I want to put it underneath a table soccer table and measure by the vibration, whether people are playing or not. You think the sensor is sensitive enough for that? Thank you for any answer :)
Great job Piddlerin... I just came across a very cool app called VibSensor for free and sends data to your e-mail for a small fee. Think they have a pro version as well. I'm looking for a blue tooth vibration and audio sensor that sends data to your cell live or not. Anyone see something like that? Thanks-

the IF and the ELSE prints the the same output ?
I was wondering the same
Nice sencer
Also wondered the same thing
Nyc video buddy...
Can u tell me if i wanna measure vibration of any small dc motor will it give the reading in the form or flow chart??
Thx bro...please tell me the minimum Hertz a vibration sensor can measure
Nicely done, does this motion sensor works with node-red? I'm looking how to work and configure and can't find any related topic.
Can we use this to wall protection ?
What difference between 12 and 14 lines of code? You print "Movement Detection!" in both cases if you have any signal on 17th channel or not?..
Small question:
Is this sensor capable of measuring vibration? I would need to not only detect it but also measure it.
No. You would need something like this, www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspberry-shake-personal-seismograph/ or possibly an accelerometer.
Thanks a lot!
Do you know what type of accelerometer that we can use to measure vibration/wobble?
Please help me solution

Please tell me Is this sensor better than pizzo plate vibration sensor?
Nice, this is exactly what I need for a project I'm working on, and I do like the name of it 😉
talk to me on my fb i have a same project of u

Tx much, what signal comes out of DO? is it +5V DC or Ground ?

ADXL by Analog Devices
se puede graficar la cantidad de movimiento que lleva?

Reply is a bit late, but that would work fine. I use one on top of my dryer, any motion at all trips it.
