Glad you’re getting around better ❤️. Pity from others was something I was just thinking about today. I’ve had a couple of doctors (non-PMP) say ‘you poor thing,’ etc. and I don’t like it. I think it makes me feel broken and like a victim. I know they mean well but probably just don’t know how to express their empathy. Thanks for mentioning this.

It is not something that many of us want to hear. We also don't usually want to hear "you're so brave" etc. I am sure it's difficult for others to express empathy to us. Got any ideas?

@@jvoetsch I don’t like the ‘brave’ either. I’m filled with anxiety but I do I what I have to anyway, which may define bravery, but it’s not like I have a choice. I love living and am a very determined person but I don’t think of that as courage. Maybe strong is a better word. It suits my personality more for people to say they’re sorry for what I’m going through, or do something thoughtful without my having to ask for help (which is tough but getting easier). Then I’d like to just move on and maybe find something to laugh at together ☺️.
