I luv my Miele Marin C3 🌼 it is heavy duty which I love and why I couldn’t call it light weight in my rating, but that’s the beauty in Miele. It is quality machine that has great suction and is absolutely 100% leakproof. AMAZING! It is an expensive vacuum but worth every penny..
Hi there! Yes, we will be able to assist you with this. However we would need the full model number of the machine before we can provide details. The model number usually begins FH followed by a few numbers and can be found on the data plate. This is the silver sticker with black writing on the bottom or back of the unit. Please provide us with the model number via email (support@mchardyvac.com) or telephone (1-877-537-8227) and we can provide details about the filter.
Yes - the C3 Excellence is the same body as these. The only differences are: 1) The tools that the excellence comes with 2) The C3 PowerPlus is the only Miele with the controls (i.e. power on/off, suction control) built into the hose handle. The C3 Excellence only has the ability to turn the rotating brush bar in the powerhead on or off, the main power button and suction control is on the vacuum itself.
At the current time all of the Miele canister vacuums in Canada are considered 'Power Line.' Previous models used the ecocline (and various other) names.
Since the C3 Limited Edition packages change frequently we do not include them in these comparison videos (as the information wouldn't be accurate long term). Most of the C3 Limited units include a combo tool which is good for homes with mostly bare floors or flat area rugs / carpets, but since they do not include a powerhead they are not ideal for homes with pets or lots of carpeting. There is a C3 Excellence Limited Edition which includes the powerhead. Do you know what model you are looking at?
@@deanfavero8254 C3 Excellence is a really great value! It comes with a powerhead that can clean low and medium pile area rugs / carpets and a combo tool. This package is good for homes without thick pile / shag rugs and a mix of bare floors and carpets. If you have a lot of bare floors (especially anything delicate) we do recommend adding the SBB 300 Parquet Twister floor brush as this tool is considerably nicer and easier to use. Since there is no metal on this tool (whereas the combo tool has a metal plate on the bottom) there is less likely change of unintentional damage to your flooring. More information can be found here: www.mchardyvac.com/miele-complete-c3-excellence-vacuum-cleaner/
All three powerhead options are relatively easy to remove and maintain: SEB217 - this powerhead requires the operator to use their hands to depress the release button. On the bottom there are two quick access screws to remove the agitator (brush bar) for cleaning. SEB228 and SEB236 - both of these powerheads have a quick disconnect feature where the operator presses a lever on the neck of the powerhead (where it connects to the wand) with their foot. We highly suggest not removing the agitator or opening these powerhead. The operator can use scissors to cut and remove any buildup on the brush bar from the bottom.
Great idea Erani! We will add that specific comparison to our list of videos. However, in the meantime the main differences are as follows: C2 Cat and Dog - Smaller FJM bag - SEB217 carpet head for low and medium carpet - Standard Handle (no pivot) - Dial suction control on body - External storage of crevice tool, dusting brush, and upholstery tool C3 Cat and Dog - Larger GN bags - SEB228 powerhead for low, medium, and thick pile carpeting - Ergonomic handle (with pivot) - Plus / Minus button suction control - Internal store of crevice tool, dusting brush, and upholstery tool

Hi Martin! Great suggestion - they actually tried this about 10 years ago. However, it actually caused quite a bit more confusion which is why they went back to the pre-packaged options.
@@mchardyvac They must have been pretty inept to cause more confusion than they already do. I have spent like 2 days of wasted effort at this point trying to get a handle on all the different models and their differences. I even almost drove out and bought the wrong one yesterday. Agree 100% with Martin Pedersen and NegatingSilence. It's absolutely ridiculous. There's no consistency and you have no idea what the differences are. A gazillion models each with a gazillion major and minor differences. Not to mention many are country specific! ... and not to mention either, the number of colors that exist. C1, C2, C3, complete, limited, classic compact ... no rhyme or reason. Some come with turbo brushes, some come with electro brushes ... there are even 3 or 4 different models of each damn brush. Total nonsense. As did NegatingSilence I've spent numerous hours trying to figure it all out. Feel like buying a different brand altogether.
@@Marcoosianism We agree as well - the way Miele has their units packaged can get confusing for the consumer. This is why we train our Team members on the differences and why we make these comparison videos :) With this said, we still find Miele to be one of the best vacuums on the market. We wish we could have more of a say in how Miele packages their vacuums, but all of these decisions are made by Miele Germany (we find some of their strategies are a bit off the North American market). If you still need assistance picking out a vacuum we strongly recommend you speaking with one of our agents at 1-877-537-8227 - they will be able to help you digest all of the options can come to the best decision for your home.
Uh, what about the 'C3 Complete Hardfloors'! lol. Miele! Why am I so confused trying to buy a vacuum from you. Why are they all C3, what makes a C3 a C3. Are these 3 machines in the video all the same power, with different attachments? But that cant be, because the C3 Complete Hardfloors is a different shape canister. Ughhh Basically, I want to know if I can buy the C3 Hardfloors, and then buy a powerhead separately, as I have two floors of medium shag and 1 floor of casino carpet, and some lino/tile. And I can get one for $325 right now. ty
lol yep, we understand your confusion. It can get a bit difficult choosing a Miele vacuum, but once you pick one they are amazing machines :) This is where it gets a bit hard: the three C3's in this video are their main line (aka they are always available) then throughout the year they release limited edition version (like the C3 Hardfloor you are asking about). Since these limited edition packages are always changing its hard to include them in the videos. Typically speaking - if you are looking at a 'C3 Hardfloor' or any C3 around the $325 price they are straight suction only. This means you cannot add a powerhead to them since they do not support the powerhead. Even if you could, you would have to replace the hose, wand, and add a powerhead which would be an additional $562 - $698 onto of the initial vacuum purchase of $325. With this, we find if you need a powerhead it's always more economical to purchase a kit that includes the powerhead upfront. If you need additional information or clarification please contact us at 1-877-537-8227 we would love to assist you picking out the best vacuum for you home.
