No it's not perfect, But I love the game myself an all of the attires you can unlock is pretty sweet. I think it at least deserves an 8.0.

I agree 100% and it hasn't made improvements to CAW or the announcers or anything in the past decade. The game cant thrive on a story mode as short as the ones in these games. 6 is generous

Scott Nun You are absolutely right....I spent an hr looking for a story mode...I found nothing...I'm like the hell with these old matches...I mean it's a cool additive but I can't grab a character and just jump into matches???....that shit pissed me off...so Lame....and all that creating stuff takes days....to to intricate...I agree with you 100%

I look up gamespots video reviews every now and then but quickly get reminded why I never stick around

And where's creation suite,universe mode Andre hardly said anything about the changes in gameplay,he also didn't mention a lot about the streak mode and nothing about online
Setting the crowds to have random animations instead of there being 4-5 clones doing the same animation in sync would help it a lot for me. WWE 13 had more random crowds in the first rows but had the clones at the back, they're at the front in 2k14 for some god awful reason.
This game and wwe 16 are my personal favorites...
So I don't get his problem with the reversal system saying it's too reliant. like how does he want it, like unrealistic blocking that they don't actually do? Just because you may suck at an aspect doesn't make it bad, the reversals want you to master it to be good. I think the gameplay's more fluid than ever

Online is shocking on this game , spammers or someone with a created superstar with max stats and every known finisher as a normal move + just starting online being put up against people with very high ranks is very unfair , other than that fun to play with friends :)
Review sites like Gamespot and IGN sometimes get test copies or review copies.
This game is basically a revamped version of legends of wrestlemania
Give me one example of a change to gameplay between WWE 13 and this. Come on the only thing I notice different are there are voices on entrances.

The animations are alright though. Strike animations are better in 2K13

There are more changes to gameplay each year than in annual sports games, mister high and mighty.
Though I Pre Ordered(that`s what u get for being a fan) I respect this review. The`re not telling us what we wanna here to make us feel good, there telling 100% Brutally Honest Truth and I respect that. Next year is not gonna be much of a difference

Finally a non bias review. Gamespot finally doing something right.
Im a wrestling fan for about (10 years) and i love wrestling games .... but this one is an improvement (like an update for wwe12) .the wwe 30 y of wrestlemania is not bad but i think last year (attitude era) was better beacause you fight before the mains events (so you coud knwo all the history) this year it goes too much fast ......... althought not a bad game but not worth 60 euros
simple rule for gamespot is, just add 1+ to their ratings for example if they give a game 6 it actually means 7.
The reversal system is terrible now, you think they would improve upon it.

Which do you guys prefer doing a review of this game? Someone who looovvees watching wrestling, and playing wrestling andvideo games? Someone who fairly watches wrestling and somewhat plays the videogames?, or someone who doesn't even like wrestling, doesn't watch it, and doesn't play video games? Who do you think will tell the god honest truth about the game? That has a lot to do with the score these games get not just wrestling games but any games!!

For everyone saying the graphics got worse, not they didn't. Here's what has happened: The developers have been rounding the shapes so that they look more realistic in terms of body proportions, but because of this, the characters lose definition in their character models and appear like they've gotten worse in quality.
TLDR: The game looks worse because the character models aren't as sharp, but they don't look as sharp because they tried to realistically shape them.
The guy that reviewed this sounds like this is his first WWE game. The countering system has been an integral part of the game's combat for over a decade. If they're gonna tell people to review a game, at least have a guy that has experience playing WWE games, or has a grasp of WWE programming review the game. I think that this game deserves at least a solid 8. ( I got my copy early)
I find it funny they didn't even mention the creative suit or universe mode... So how can you give it a 6 without mentioning the WHOLE game?

I love this game been playing all weekend long...game-play is very smooth and the graphics are better than what they look like on you-tube...

agreed with the score and everything. Hope 2K makes it better because they can do better than the same stuff of wwe 13. Even I haven't played wwe games since last time on svr 11, knew that this game will really the same except the features are nice and the difficulty sounds to be hard.
Giant Bomb did a good review got a 4 out of 5 and they explained why and what it has. So did destructoid they gave it a 9/10 with way more detail.
Don't people realize 2K didn't have much to do with this game being developed,cause wasn't it halfway done when 2K bought in? Wwe 2K15 is 2k's real honest to god chance to develop a better game for the consumer. Be happy that we even got a wrestling game this year.

I love this game it actually got me into wrestling again , I'm not gonna sit here and rage over a 6 Rating i may not agree with it but i respect gamespots opinion it doesn't make me like the game any less though .
Can't wait to read all you guys reviews in a month or so with well thought out positives and negatives with knowledge of wrestling and a legitimate interest in WWE. That I will appreciate.
Not this superficial main stream crap from a guy watched to wrestling matches in his life, back in the 80's. (I'm exaggerating but you get the idea)
It's fine to give a low score but he clearly has no place in reviewing this game at least he does not have a lot of legitimate passion for wrestling overall.

For what is basically quite a positive review, giving a 6 is a litle strange even if the wrestling is sometimes a litle frustrating. The plethora of options, massive roster and the general size of the game merit 7.5 at the very least I would have thought.
Strange decision for someone who seemed to actually enjoy the game.
How is Universe mode the same!?! You can create your own feuds! You can select default attires! You can select a number of matches, major is 5-7! And for all you diva fans you can make the major championship the divas championship!
! annoying thing I hoped had been fixed was in tag matches, your partner should be looking at you not staring ahead blankly
The used to look at partners in the old games, why not now?

I've seen people play it and the bugs were minor in 13 minus the 1 count glitch yea they got up 2 fast characters glitched in certin spots and weapons would wack out but the phiscs engin hasn't ben around that long read different reviews they gave it better reviews

They aren't bad, the classic matches just use a filter that make them look older and non-HD.
Just get No Mercy or Day of Reckoning, the graphics are almost the same and the gameplay is significantly more fluid and fun. This still looks like it was made 10 years ago....
When 2K have more to do with the development next year, the game should be a 9/10 at least.

Bullshit. Universe mode isn't exactly the same as you have the new feature 'Rivalry Manager' and you can edit the attires superstars come out to in 'Universe Mode'. You have 30 years of WM, and defeat and defend Undertaker's streak and you have a ton of new customisable options such as being able to customise entrance attire in 'Superstar threads', and you also have 'superstar heads' and more. The gameplay I can't speak for as it comes out Friday in UK, but it has heavily improved from WWE 13.
The action is just fine for a wrestling game.
here on youtube - there are even entire 4 hour pay-per-views uploaded here! Look for matches with Hirooki Goto, Shinsuke Nakamura, Yuji Nagata, Giant Bernard(who you'll recognize, I'm sure!), Togi Makabe, Prince Devitt, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Satoshi Kojima. These are all GREAT wrestlers with New Japan Pro Wrestling, the biggest promotion in Japan. Pro-wrestling is so popular in Japan, there are about 150 shows each month!

I Haven't played a WWE game in years. It got so stale. They seriously need to reinvent this series and put it back on the right track. Maybe If they had some competition this series could be great again.

2k weren't "selected" THQ went bankrupt and guess who but the biggest bid in for the wwe licence, 2k, and as owner of the game heres my honest opinion of it. if youve liked the the last 3-4 games in the franchise then your probably gonna like this. the AI is much harder this year and with the inclusion of multiple new modes in my personal opinion its far from perfect but it is probably the best wrestling game of the modern era. not including the spin off game wwe all stars.(my personal opinion)
And bet that cod review will be score low too depending if they will step up and realise the same issues.

Be thankful it didn't get a 1/10. A 6.0 is more than fair for a game that should be a $20 DLC pack.

Did you even watch the review and listen to it? One of the problems about this game is the combat gameplay.
Notice how yesterday all of the fanboys were defending the game, and now that the game is out, they dont have shit to say.
