    You're still an absolute hero man. You did everything you could, even with that cop making the situation so stressful.

    Probably one of my favorite videos of yours. Even if it didn’t have too much to do about business. The honesty, the heroism.. Shows what kind of guy you are. You did everything you could and don’t ever think there was anything else you could have done to save that guy. Big respect to you brother. Thanks for the honesty.

      Thank you for the compliment sir. I try to keep my personal life out of the channel but the truth is that a lot of my personal life ties in with the business. When you start a business, the line between personal and business gets blurred. Right now it's 7pm and I have been in and out of the office all day and will likely be doing admin work until 9pm. Next month we're doing the first company camping trip. So, yeah, it's hard to separate the two.

    So sorry that you had three very difficult situations hit you back to back. You're absolutely right about the crime victim being someone's son. And even if his parents were deceased, he's still God's son. Thank you for intervening and trying to help that day. The world needs more people willing to do that.
    Your videos are an inspiration to me and I really admire your character and work ethic. Your children are lucky to have a father like you (Happy Father's Day!). I am happy to see that there are still people like you around.

      You are too kind sir. I try to be the best I can be at both. I know that I fail at both in many ways, but I can honestly say that at the very least I'm giving it everything I've got.

    This is your most honest and effective video - and I think every video (10 of them)I have seen from you was honest and effective. I imagine that your high standards have earned you some credit and understanding for theses harsh times. Our emotions are what make us human. Men need more men to share on a human, honest level. Thank you.

      I appreciate all of that. I'm not one to go around with my emotions on my sleeve, but there are times and circumstances where it can be appropriate. This was probably one of them.

    A truly honest video. The hardest part some times for a boy to become a man sometimes is to have his father teach him the hardest lessons that the father thinks should be the easiest things.
    And I am sorry for your other event.
    Loving your content, I have been watching them continuously for the past week and will be joining your group once I am done in the next week or so.

    I just wanted to comment how much I appreciate your videos and the inspiration your are to me to start my own Handyman Business. I really believe that your son will be better off in the long run, you're obviously a good dad and had to do what you had to do. He will learn from this situation, I have no doubt, you can't learn from mistakes without making them. As far as the other incident, you're a hero, very few people would stop and do what you did or tried to do. It was defiantly a traumatizing event , and I hope you can move on from it.

    My dude, I haven't even gotten through the first half of the video yet and just mad respect. A lot of people would be upset that you break your business relationship with your son, that has to be extremely tough. Hopefully he takes this as a learning point in life. That's one of the challenges of parenting. We try to help the next generation see past what we could not, and they most often cannot. Too many people would just shield their kid from defeat, which maybe once or twice is needed, but all the time is enabling. We have to open their eyes, make them see reality like the generations before us. And I know I sound old, I'm 41 in July, but we have to help our kids find their strength, even if it hurts incredibly. It's for the best, it just sucks and is hard to go through. But those of us who found success had that moment with their dad. The disappoint in their eye pushed you to become the man you are. Or some of us became the man we are purely in spite of our dad's, lol

    • @bulletproofhandyman
      @bulletproofhandyman  Рік тому

      I guess we'll never know for sure what we should do, but I'll eventually be able to look back and judge my parenting by the fruits it produces. Fingers crossed in a decade or two I'll look back and be proud of my former self if I'm able to watch my children thrive.

    I hope next week is better. You're a good guy and did your best. Even if the ambulance had arrived earlier, likely the wound was too grave.
    I'm not sure how old your son is, but sometimes young people just need a wakeup call, to get things in a new perspective. Thanks for your videos they are very helpful.

    That’s been a bumpy road man. I’m in the same line of work, have been for years. I believe that’s the lord telling you to slow down and turn your attention to him. I worked myself into the ground, and was so sleep deprived and stressed I almost killed my self in a horrible truck accident. Everything up to that accident was crazy. I realized that if I had died in that moment that I would have been in hell, and my family would have been left alone. I’m grateful for the accident, he got my attention. Sucks I couldn’t see the warning signs along the way. Life is stress free, things fall into place under his control. I just do what I can, it all works out. I’m Monday-Thursday. Friday is some paperwork, look at potential work. Saturday is kids day, Sunday is a given. Once I gave control over to him, everything falls into our laps. I seriously don’t even try. I have people ask, hey what do you do? I share a little bit, and they have tons of projects, i give away work to guys I like, that I don’t really want to mess with. I know I only want to work 6-8 hours a day, and for 4 days, what over head I have, and how much.

      Unfortunately I don't hold any beliefs in any religion, but I do appreciate the teachings and try to live closely with them regardless of where they come from. For me, money is a tool and I am in the "building" stage of my life, so I need too many tools to work less than I do. However, on a daily basis I remind myself that the smarter and harder I work the sooner I can get everything built and start doing more of the fulfilling things in life. Don't get me wrong, I'm happier and more fulfilled than I've ever been but I'm looking forward to knocking some things off of my to do list and then relaxing more than a few hours or a half day here and there. Congratulations to you though for finding your balance. I'm always happy to hear that others are finding their place and living well.

    Hey man, I worked in a high volume emergency room for 7 years (before going handyman) and saw a ton of stuff like that. Had people die in my hands. I can tell you there’s no way you could have saved that man. With an arterial hemorrhage like that from the neck there’s just nothing you can do.. the officer most likely knew that as well is why he acted the way he did. It sucks you had to go through that. I enjoy your content keep up the good work!

    That's a crazy situation, man. Bad enough with the dog and your son and to add that on top? I don't think there's any reason not to call it trauma. But stopping and doing your best to help is the best anyone can expect of you. You did the right thing and you did it without questioning how you'd feel later. At the risk of sounding condescending, I'm proud of you. And you should be proud of yourself. I hope the coming weeks turn out to be mundane and manageable, but busy enough to keep you from dwelling on the might have beens. Stay safe.

    • @bulletproofhandyman
      @bulletproofhandyman  Рік тому

      Luckily the mundane and manageable is returning. My son got a decent job, my dog is healing up nicely and quickly. Work is there, but not overwhelming at the moment. Probably time to bring on a new PM company soon to make things more exciting lol.

    Working with family is hard, my dad and my brother did something similar. Especially when you pride yourself in your quality of work and professionalism. Keep your head up! Finally started taking jobs, took 3 jobs this week and pulled in $1250 not the greatest but Ill take it for my first week. I gotta say if I didn't come across your videos I wouldn't have taken that first step! Wild man, I can't believe you went through that. You did everything that you could. A HELL of a lot more than most other people would. I remember having an 18 wheeler smash into a mustang behind me and having to go to the car and see if everyone was alive, the people in the backseat were in pretty bad shape, luckily I had another guy to control traffic to help the EMTs and the cops to get there. Wild man, and good on you. I feel you on being a dad, my daughter turns 4 in July and my son is 1.
