    We appreciate the attention to making this look professional. Great attention to the details! I have found, just as you describe, the more you do the better one gets!

    You need a go pro mounted on your head so we can be on the job with ya, Bullet!

      That would be cool. TikTok is great for livestreaming where you can bring in others on video to interact too.

      I'm not doing much on there yet, but once I hit 1,000 subscribers I'll be able to Livestream, which seems to be where that platform shines.

    why not put the straps on the back side where it isn't visible?

    • @bulletproofhandyman
      @bulletproofhandyman  9 місяців тому

      The straps are for shear forces, which would not work on the side. They have simple teeth that dig into the wood and the flexing and warping of the fascia would pull it right out.

    How are ya brother!? What’s your favorite exterior filler to use? I’ve been on the 3m for a long time but recently tried gorilla wood filler and it seems to work fine. Thanks for the video brother!

      I'm good how are you? I don't prefer any specific brand, but I am committed to epoxys only for anything larger than a tiny little gap. This is because they set fast so I can paint and get on to the next job. I've used Weldwood and Dap and they both worked just fine.

      @@bulletproofhandyman I’m great! Enjoy listening to your videos when I’m going from job to job. I’ve worked for a contractor for the last 5 years full time and recently(March of this year) started my own while also working for the same guy part-time. I was lucky to have that opportunity so that I’m not having to quit a job, but still get about 20-25 hours a week working for myself.

      That sounds like a really awesome setup. It's good to maintain those relationships.

    Did you adjust the estimate (for materials) to finish the job? Or did you eat it?

    • @bulletproofhandyman
      @bulletproofhandyman  9 місяців тому +1

      I did not adjust the estimate. What I did was I added a 15% buffer in the original materials price on the original estimate to cover the possibility of having damaged materials, cut off waste, etc... This mistake might cost me a little bit but most of the overrun will be accommodated by the original buffer.

    Good profit margin. 4 hours

    • @bulletproofhandyman
      @bulletproofhandyman  9 місяців тому

      I agree. 4 hours from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, including a trip to home depot for matching paint. There is probably also about another hour to include for drive time and the initial trip to home depot to pick up the lumber. Sometimes these take all day and sometimes they go quickly.

    What about that area @ 16:12 that is already rotted is that an issue with the roof? Otherwise the facia looks great!

    • @bulletproofhandyman
      @bulletproofhandyman  9 місяців тому +1

      They aren't interested in doing anything about that yet, however, they are sending roofers to inspect and provide an estimate for a new roof so that might get addressed if the new roof is approved. In my experience it's unlikely.
