Direct and to the point, no annoying back ground music, no long ass introduction, no begging or pleading for more subscribers, comments and Likes. Man, what a concept.
OMG! Hooked up the cable, connect tone was heard, no files, was trying different cables in desperation, then I viewed your video and all is well! Words of wisdom, thank you soooo much!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I just spent hours with a newly unboxed Motorola, trying to get everything set up just right. This was the first video I've come across that answered one of my questions perfectly and painlessly. Maybe I won't throw the phone out the window just yet :)
Thank You so much. I just bought this phone about a week ago and tried yesterday to import a few pics and docs to my laptop to send on to a kitchen designer...and after about 4 hours of trying to import my info, I was ready to have a nervous breakdown. I found several places online to show me how to do it. Nothing worked. I finally ran across your UA-cam channel and you were the only one that even mentioned going into the settings and hitting file transfer. Worked like a charm. When I pop open a beer today at Happy Hour i will toast you sir.
You did what others simply had no clue how to do. You move a bit fast for me but I did get the help I needed and it worked the first time. I have been baffled by the USB Preferences part for weeks...just now you solved it. I even called Cricket's help line and still did not help, and now you did it. Very clear and very helpful, a blessing indeed. Huge thanks!
NOTE! That some USB cables are only for charging ... some of these come with toys that use USB charging only ... and just some older USB cables that are cheap and were built without "Data" capability before we all started taking pictures with our smart phones. There is no way to tell that I know of (maybe looking at the pins), but you need a magnifyer to look at that. Now these cables might protect you when plugging into USB ports at a coffee shop or airport where someone might put a FAKE charger that also automatically downloads your data ... but for the most part, just throw it away or put it in a zip lock bag for charging when traveling. Note that very short USB cables are usually for toys like mini drones.
Just bought Edge (2021) and first time dealing with Google Photos. Trying to load through Google is painful. "File Transfer" was the key. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! I just got my first Motorola phone, and was frustrated when I connected it to the computer to transfer photos, but saw nothing. I am exceedingly grateful for your tutorial.
Finally! An instruction video that actual gives the CORRECT instructions, and it didn't even have to be phone model specific! Gratefull eternal thanks!
Dude.....I searched and searched and searched for on how to download photos from my Motorola phone and came across your video. And "Oh My Goodness", thank you so very much for this excellent tutorial. I followed your instructions exactly and "Wa-la" successful. I have saved your channel and will use your teachings and videos and will share. Thank you and be bless today.
I tried everything I could think of and knew there was something I just was not figuring out. It was that setting on the charging notification. Exactly what you said worked. THANK YOU.
Thank you! Very clear and simple. I'd found other lists of steps to do elsewhere online, which did work, but they were complicated and then I had to search for the photos I'd downloaded. Following your instructions I made a folder in my pictures and just copied everything there. Perfect.
THAT WAS GREAT !!!!!!!!! I was freakin' out and none of the other vids did anything for me. Also, I found when I selected all the (finally) transferred photos and simply went to "MOVE TO" and selected pictures, they all went there no problemo. No need for separate folder. I love you, man!
Thanks for the help man. Tried it myself and needless to say the advice I found on Google didn't really help. You made it very easy to do and understand, and now all of my photos and videos have been transferred to my PC in just a matter of minutes. I owe you one. :D
Oh my god! Thank you! It was so simple. Ive been trying to figure out how to transfer one file from my pc to my android for over 2 days. Nothing i was looking at said anything about a notification option
Thank you so much for this simple easy explanation. I've been struggling with "how to" get my photos onto my computer for months......someone slap me for not finding this awesome video. Thank you so very much....God bless you.
Short and to the point. Worked great. I used it the opposite way. I wanted to take photos from my computer to my phone so I can show them to people without having to go online..... thanks!!!!
only tech video that has worked almost 100% when I follow. I copied the photos to the pc into a folder when they copied to the pc each photo name came up as trashed, a number.jpg. they open fine so thanks for a tech video that works exactly the same.
Thank you so much! This also works on Linux (Ubuntu). My previous searches led me to articles that were telling me to download a special USB tool from Motorola which isn't available on Linux while other articles had me activating (Developer Mode). All this seemed unnecessarily complicated when all my prior phones simply plugged in and showed up. Again thanks for taking the time to share this!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was trying to do a favor for a friend. I was taking photos for him. I took at least 200 and then was unable to transfer them to my pc to edit and then put them on a thumb drive to give him. I have been trying for over two days to do it. You saved the day and my sore wrists and shoulders and arms thank you too! S. Clift😊😊😊😊😊
Great video I was looking at my PC and was like where the hell is my Phone filles ,after you explained it I was able to find and transfer my stuff to my PC ,Thank you!
Thank you so much! This worked great. I was having a hard time figuring it out. My old ZTE android phone always just did it. This Moto phone made it a little harder.
Thank you. You made it so easy. I would never have worked it out by myself. I had to pause the film a couple of times to catch up but that's to be expected with any instructions.
THANK YOU!! My old phone did it automatically so I was really confused. The Motorola manual doesn't even mention it. Anyway, so glad I saw your video. It helped A LOT.
EXCELLENT! I wish I had started a search for this when I thought this would be easy TWO HOURS ago. LOL. Transferring music from my Linux machine to my phone. Like NO, loved, YES!
Great video. Very useful information, saved me hours of time. LOL One thing I would like to mention, for those of us who are not so technologically inclined, it would be very helpful if you could speak a little more slowly when getting into the specifics. I had to keep stopping and reversing the video every 15 seconds or so through certain parts. Many thanks!
Thank you so much for explaining this, I could not figure it out before. Thanks for taking it down to simple steps. I appreciate you taking your time and sharing your knowledge.
Mine was little different but I had tap on file transfer and worked thanks for your video what would I do without guys like you? My brother would be yelling at me if I asked him yikes
Thanks for this video it worked fine for me. One problem I did have though, was I unmounted the Sim so I couldn't find anything, however, I soon discovered why the data wasn't showing up and re-mounted the Sim. Thanks again.
I agree with Tracy. I was at the point of exasperation with this issue, but this video explained the operation step by step. Works so easily now and I can relax.
Thanks for that. I new you could view the folders in the explorer - the horrible one drive bullies you into a stupidly complex performance - when really it is is as easy as you have shown. Excellent thanks worked like a charm in 10 seconds
Direct and to the point, no annoying back ground music, no long ass introduction, no begging or pleading for more subscribers, comments and Likes. Man, what a concept.
I could not figure out for the longest time why my phone wasn't transferring pics/videos. This video cleared it right up. Thanks!!!
Tears of joy. Can't thank you enough for making this finally possible with easy, clear instructions. I owe you a yacht and a case of wine.
OMG! Hooked up the cable, connect tone was heard, no files, was trying different cables in desperation, then I viewed your video and all is well! Words of wisdom, thank you soooo much!
Dude ur a genius, I watched 5 UA-cam videos, downloaded drivers, and u reveal the secret of simplicity and solved my problem, thank you so much!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I just spent hours with a newly unboxed Motorola, trying to get everything set up just right. This was the first video I've come across that answered one of my questions perfectly and painlessly. Maybe I won't throw the phone out the window just yet :)
Amen, My feelings exactly!!!
I've had mine nearly a year and if I could afford a new phone I would gladly throw mine out the window. What a piece of horrible junk.
Me too! Thank you!!

Thank you very much ! This was my issue all along ............. the short cable could only be used for charging - wow - who knew ??
Bro the usb cable came with phone is ok for transfer files?
I think that original data cable is capable of transferring files
bruuuuh cant belive this was my problem xD tried 2 cables both were charging only xd
Thanks for info, very helpful. I had this problem with the USB cable I was using.
FINALLY the best instruction for this MOTO E oldie goldie phone
Just bought Edge (2021) and first time dealing with Google Photos. Trying to load through Google is painful. "File Transfer" was the key. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! I just got my first Motorola phone, and was frustrated when I connected it to the computer to transfer photos, but saw nothing. I am exceedingly grateful for your tutorial.
OMG! Did you just save my sanity! I won't even describe what long drawn out process I had been using. Thanks a million and one times!
Thank you! Changing the "no data transfer" to "file transfer" was exactly the info I needed help with.
Exactly what I was looking for. Short, concise and to the point.
Finally! An instruction video that actual gives the CORRECT instructions, and it didn't even have to be phone model specific!

This was very helpful for a first time smart phone user who only bought the phone to take and transfer pictures and vid's. THANKS🙂
Really great instructions! So much better than 90% of what is out there! Thank you!
Oh my god! Thank you! It was so simple. Ive been trying to figure out how to transfer one file from my pc to my android for over 2 days.

File sharing from my phone to my pc. What a concept! LOL. If not for your video, I would never have managed to get any pics to my computer. THANKS.
I wish I had found your video first. I have watched others and nothing worked. This was a fabulous tutorial, thank you so much. It worked perfectly.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
The "official" and phone service instructions were useless.
THIS WORKS!!!
Thank you so much! This also works on Linux (Ubuntu).

Learn to talk and explain things a little bit quicker. Thank you very much. Your just one of those guys who takes all day to explain something simple.
Checked a bunch of stupid websites all telling me to download garbage. That "hidden" option was all that was necessary; thanks, much love.
Dude thank you for a simple explanation!! Be amazed how hard one is to find!
Never would have guessed about the charging notification! Great video!
Thank you. You made it so easy. I would never have worked it out by myself. I had to pause the film a couple of times to catch up but that's to be expected with any instructions.
Thx so much. Could not find it out on my own. A grateful guy from Germany, trying to help an old lady to back up her snapshots.
Spent ages tearing my hair out. Your video was brilliant. Thankyou.
I agree with all the other grateful commenters. You should be doing documents for Motorola! Very accurate and concise video. A million thanks!
