  • Check out my Channel Intro Video! I wanted to share with you a little about my background, why I'm creating on UA-cam, and share a few of my motorcycles! I show off my 2000 Triumph Thunderbird 900 Triple and my Gen1 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa drag bike.

Awesome Matt《☆》Nice channel intro👍🛎I have an 02 Busa with about the same mileage as your 03. I'm thinking about a Lithium battery but it's strictly a street bike. The temps here in Northeast Florida dip into the low 30°f range but I don't plan on riding when it's that cold. I've been using Xtreme AGM XTAZ12S with 210 cca 11 ah batteries for the last 10 years. The 1st one lasted 5 years. The 2nd one only 3 years. I'm thinking Extremes quality control may have gone down or maybe I got sold a used battery for new price $96.99 in November 2019. The terminal posts were slightly tarnished on it so I asked to look at a couple of other ones in the store [Batteries Plus]. None of them looked as nice as the shiny gold terminals on my old battery. Anyway I'm looking at other options before I go back to [Batteries Plus]. None of the LiFe batteries I've seen with comparable power will fit the Gen 1 Busa box without modification. Good luck troubleshooting your fuel pump🖖😎☮

Thanks Man! I was going to shoot testing the pump and replacing the pump. But a snowstorm made a change in plans. I'll get her done and posted soon though.
Yea those lithium batts are supposed to be pretty light. I haven't had experience with one yet myself. I'm not sure how the lithium like to be treated or maintained. I have had no problems with AGM or even lead, as long as they stay well used or maintained in storage. I know lithium batts don't like the cold though. It gets pretty chilly here in Buffalo, NY, and I don't like to ride when it gets too cold either. But surprisingly my older style batts have been good on chilly days and haven't froze from the cold when stored in the garage with a trickle charger/maintainer.
Though it could save weight on my drag bike, for now I am currently focusing the weight reduction process on myself. LOL!

@@mattzahmdotcom 《☆》Awesome. Thanks for getting back to me & the Sub. I haven't noticed any issues with fuel pressure on my bike but I don't do any racing with mine. I looked in thru the filler with a light last year & I could see a little clump of rust on the bottom near the pump. I attempted to drag it out with a bendy magnet but I didn't want to take a chance of damaging the fuel qty sending unit. I'll definitely be watching for your next uploads. Stay warm up there🖖😎☮
