All former Chinese leaders were grassroots... Maybe with the exception of Xi. All of them got to their leadership position through a very strict meritocracy system. Now in America you have political families where father and son, husband and wife all ran for president...
Different political systems do not mean that people cannot communicate with each other or become friends with each other. However, the development of China over the past 30 years suggests that the United States should talk less about China's political system, as it will only make itself more shameful.

Putting the China relationship back on track is more important than simping for racists who would never have voted for him anyway. Biden probably forgot that in the heat of the moment.
The Video discusses a significant meeting between President Biden and China's President Xi Jinping, highlighting the resumption of high-level conversations between the two countries. The context of the meeting is set against the backdrop of a unique and personal connection between President Xi and a woman named Sarah Landy from a small town in Iowa. Sarah Landy has known President Xi for 40 years since his visit to Mustine, Iowa, in 1985. At that time, she hosted him when he came to learn about hog farming. The story emphasizes the bond of friendship between Sarah and President Xi, recounting the hospitality she provided, including staying in her son Gary's room in a modest setting. The narrative creates a personal touch to the diplomatic relations, showcasing a human connection that transcends political boundaries. The report mentions President Biden's response to a reporter's question, where he refers to President Xi as a dictator. This remark leads to speculation and scrutiny, with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's reaction indicating a level of concern or uncertainty about the consequences of such labeling. The Chinese authorities respond strongly to this characterization, labeling it as "extremely wrong and irresponsible." The video portrays a diplomatic encounter between President Biden and President Xi Jinping while highlighting a unique personal connection between President Xi and a woman from Iowa. The human-interest aspect underscores the potential for interpersonal relationships to impact diplomatic interactions positively. However, the political tension surfaces when President Biden refers to President Xi as a dictator, leading to a strong reaction from the Chinese side. This narrative is a reminder of the complex interplay between personal connections and political dynamics in international relations. The story of a small-town hostess and a future world leader adds a human touch to the broader geopolitical landscape. However, the political comment about President Xi being a dictator introduces a layer of tension, showcasing the delicate nature of diplomatic discourse. It emphasizes the importance of careful rhetoric in international relations, where personal connections and political realities intersect.
Sometimes I think journalists should exercise some discretion. What is the purpose of that question? Was it necessary at that point, after what precious little progress was achieved during this meeting?
Actually it's nice to promote people to people friendship for once, good on you Insider. Xi's "final boss" on his way to the top was Bo Xilai, also a son of a revolutionary, and Xi had to take Bo down on his way to become party chief. Now Xi is president for life and Bo is in a prison.
his father was a founding member of the PRC but he was purged during the culture revolution. It arguably made Xi's ascension much more challenging. Xi has expressed that he had hated his father in his youth years for that reason
All former Chinese leaders were grassroots... Maybe with the exception of Xi. All of them got to their leadership position through a very strict meritocracy system.
Now in America you have political families where father and son, husband and wife all ran for president...
And betrayed his father, in typical Three Kingdoms fashion. What a great example of human being!
I mean, Bo was corrupted. And his wife yeeted that British dude. @@tren133

Different political systems do not mean that people cannot communicate with each other or become friends with each other. However, the development of China over the past 30 years suggests that the United States should talk less about China's political system, as it will only make itself more shameful.
The thing is it not a political system it a dictatorship
@@sling8015 do you even know the definition of dictatorship? American propaganda has blinded you Americans. Dictator means atatined power through force. When Biden call Xi a dictator, Blinken's reaction was hoping that someone would walk up to the podium and stop Biden from talking about Xi and maybe guide Biden the way to the back stage.

Xi is such a kind and humble communist dictator. The best kind of dictator!
Xi always seems so calm of which I don’t see how.
他并不是独裁者,他个人情绪不能反应出来。他代表的是14亿中国人。所以他必须收起个人情绪。。。。真正的独裁者是不需要隐藏个人情绪的
China is lucky to have a leader who cares about its citizens, qualified to work, & down to earth! We have a leader close to be in the earth 🤢
That’s why Xi spent lots of efforts to eliminate the poverty in China since he was in power. His Belt and Road plan is also aiming to help other countries to get rid of poverty.
This indicates a gross lack of cultural exchange. If I were China's foreign service, I would invite that reporter who asked the question for a tour of the 1st tier cites in China.
Calling him a dictator and proceed to give him the most heartwarming welcome and hospitality with smile , America isn’t an exemple of democracy compared to China , no way

A lapse in judgment. He remembered that the conservatives hate him and probably tried too hard to appease them by taking the “dictator” bait.

The Chinese authorities respond strongly to this characterization, labeling it as "extremely wrong and irresponsible."
The video portrays a diplomatic encounter between President Biden and President Xi Jinping while highlighting a unique personal connection between President Xi and a woman from Iowa.
Correction: It emphasizes the need to give a blind eye to atrocities so both can milk each other the most before mutual destruction
