What I find amusing, is it took me a bit to realize, but this is just the low-fi version of the ending credits theme song "Smile". Which people seemed to dislike. Funny how changing something in a certain way can change ones view.
You say that as if the whole arrangement isn't completely different. The only thing that is present in this that is also in Smile is the melody/motif, which is not even remotely the reason people hate it.
All but one of the musics for Dawntrail were quite good and fit their environments perfectly. I'm a bit saddened S9 doesn't have more features in it to make players want to make it their personal hub like Tuliyolal has; would have been a neat, futuristic place to hang out in with an inn, vanity, and market board.
What really sucks about S9 is that the place looks absolutely enormous based on what the whole tower looks like from the outside, almost looks like it’s part TARDIS….and the place is UTTERLY empty. Outside the arcade area everyone goes to, there is nothing of interest at all in the place, and it looks amazing.
@@zackr.7628 RIGHT? I'd love to fly around in there. See if there's a way to get close to the npc cars you see going from place to place overhead. Would be awesome! But noooo....
@@zackr.7628 Likely in part to prevent people to do stuff like covering the retainer bells with large mounts like sometimes happens in Idyllshire or Rhalgr's Reach
Kinda sad they just made Solution nine a Second Hub like the other expansions where nothing to do expect buy tomes, savage gear and fate stuff. Wish they added more stuff to it like marketboard or some other reason to make it Home Point. The place looks sick and a Hub people will actually hangout in.
@@ciboria1 Yes! I heard alot of people complaining why does this place not have a marketboard when one of the area is an actual trading center. They should just add a MB, inn and a housing district in the following patches/expansion.
iirc they said it's because they wanted to make sure when new players arrive to DT, they see a bustling city instead of everyone chilling at solution 9 aka they knew how cool S9 was 🤣
@@CryoJnik Yeah, those are the "second hubs" of their corresponding expansions, which never have a market board. You missed Idyllshire for Heavensward and Rhalgr's Reach for Stormblood, which are the same way. I don't know why they do it that way, it's literally just annoying for the player base. Maybe like server space considerations that make them want to funnel more people into the main hubs, but then why wouldn't they put Tomestone gear vendors in the main hubs too? I honestly don't get it.

Its also in Tulliolal's night theme and the field track for Urqopacha
From what I've heard, Smile is mostly disliked for where/how it is used.
@@boxinthefield fair enough. I do disagree with most of that, but I get it.

It’s called a leit motif
Oooh I had this melody ocassionally stuck in my head and I couldn't remember which song it was! Absolute vibe

Amazing!
I agree ❤

Have you already covered the BEAT that's Tulliyolal?
He has! It was a while ago but he did!

I hear it's got a great few benches to sit and relax on.

I mean it IS huge. But why can't we ride mounts in there? 😢

I feel like that tends to happen in the second cities. There was no reason to go far from the Aetheryte in Radz-at-Han or Eulmore either

It would be really cool if we could make the place into a proper Home with all the things we usually take for granted, (Like MB and such)
