@BrotherDave80 my dad was a pastor and many times gave up his salary for the sake of the church. He was able to do that because we all as a family understood we were blessed to serve the people not be served by them
My mama and daddy crippled me by giving me money when I was younger and didn't realize they were crippling me until I'm crippled and have to pull myself up. But I'm happier with nothing or actually just the basic necessities, just me and my dog, than I was with a brand new car and money handed to me every week and sometimes everyday. The only bad part is that they have told so many lies about me and have brainwashed my son to where he is in the same boat I was. But that is a demonic trait because it's their way of self worship by having at least someone that needs them. It's gives them a God complex which is a defect. A demonic defect. And the other bad part about that is she has been a sunay school teacher for 50 years. I've learned that anyone that appears to be 100 percent good, is actually the evil of this world.
My question is in regard to the beginning. Because I’m guilty of the “two hands”. (Asking God to handle something) Where I am confused is the Bible says we must work. Laziness is death. Paraphrasing of course. If I’m letting God handle it, that seemingly means to me he’s doing everything on his end which means I’m doing nothing aside from trusting in him. Then I feel guilty asking God to just handle it with virtually no effort on my part. Like I feel like I should be at least trying for him to meet me in the middle. ??

Truth. You will notice that pretty much every prosperous country in the world is founded on Protestant/Biblical values. God blesses entire nations that believes in Him. His chosen people, the Jews, are amazing with money. Jesus rebuked a servant for not multiplying the money he had been given (Luke 19:23). If we get forget God, the economy will go downhill quick. It's not money that is the root of all evil; it's the LOVE of money (1 Timothy 6:10), i.e. putting mammon before God. When Solomon prayed for an understanding heart, God made gave him riches on top of giving him understanding (1 Kings 3). EPHESIANS 3:20. I will listen to this, however the title caught me. Joseph enslaved EVERYONE through "taxes" on everything, crops, livestock, etc.. It's ironic that he was sold to slavery and then ends up enslaving everyone but the priests. Eventually Pharoah owned all the people and their land, they were given seeds to sow and then required to give a fifth of their harvest. While the larger picture here was the preservation of the lives of these people, i.e., not letting them starve to death, is this the anointing we are to desire? Are Joseph's taxation practices ethical today? Or are we to make disciples, teach them who they are in Christ and how to prosper with God so they can be independent of fraudulent government practices, e.g., free from depending on the government for food, clothing and shelter, etc.? These are sincere questions. Like Solomon, Joseph did some sketchy things that people don't acknowledge and I can't figure out why. Christians seem okay with talking about how David was a man after Gods own heart even though he was a murderer and an adulterer, but for some reason, Joseph is kinda worshiped.
The egyptians who were enslaved calls Joseph their hero, so there are probably some debt in the story that you find hard to grasp. And David, yes he is all that, but being perfect is not the presquisite to be after God’s own heart.
