Never saw or thought of doing this, Jess - wonderful technique! I can't swear to it, since as I said, I've never tried using dies as masks, but I would think when it's time to pick them up, you could use a magnet rather than your fingers. My first thought was a magnetic want like you can find at hardware/home improvement stores. But then I realized that, if you have a MISTI or something similar, you probably already have a strong magnet that would work. And if your background is already splattery-looking, you shouldn't have to worry if any ink/stain might drip or splatter off your dies when you pick them up with the magnet. That way (I would think, anyway), you wouldn't have to worry about them shifting on the paper when you move your project aside for it to dry. Anyway, just an idea. Thank you for sharing this, and I really like how your card turned out. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
Beautiful card and love your technique ❤
Good idea. I'm now thinking about sentiment dies I don't have a shadow for.
Love this idea. While I own some, I am spray -shy. I will absolutely give this a try. Thank you.

Great idea
Fun method. Suggestion: the dies could be picked up with a magnet if you pull straight "up".
Wonderful idea... I think I will give it a try, but use a magnet to lift off the dies... I think Spellbinders has a magnet handle with release...
Funny, because I just suggested the same thing before I saw your comment. Great minds...! :)
