I used to see those kind of storylines in some tv shows and movies. Even the popular music video “Sirena” (English: Mermaid) by gloc-9 is about a father beating/drowning his child in a drum of water but ironically the child felt like being a mermaid instead. LOL Komusta, kumusta and kamusta are all valid. Different regions say and spell it differently, but all of it are derived from the Spanish "como esta" so, anything goes really. Especially since the intermingling between different regions and language groups in the Philippines have pretty much muddled where a certain pronunciation of a certain word originated from.

Hi. To set the record straight, the proper/formal is "Kumusta" rooted from. "Como estas". Though the misspelling is widely accepted for the longest time. Maybe it started when texting age came in as it usually short cut into "Kmusta", which unfortunately read as "Kamusta" due to how alphabet is said in Filipino languange. A is ah, B is bah, K is kah. This is the best example of widely accepted error, since it doesn't change the context.
