There seem to be an awful lot of spectators determined to get themselves run over, and a distinct lack of marshals. I know it's what they were built for, but it's a shame to see some of these classics getting completely wrecked.
Most common reason for so many offs at a particular corner is the tree line (or very often, telegraph pole routing) continues straight and the road doesn't. Finnish "professional" spectators almost always gather at these kind of places... Go figure!
I know what you mean but it's a risk you have to take if you want to enjoy them.. which is what they're designed for. I always get sad seeing classics in people's garages barely being used because the owner gets too afraid to take them out.. we're all going to drop dead one day.. you have to enjoy life and drive the old classics hard!
They're being driven and thrashed as the good Lord intended. Better than sitting in a garage and never being enjoyed.. loads of classic car owners forget they're for enjoying, life's for enjoying.
I’d call this a demolition derby. I haven’t seen any real rally driving skills. Terrible to see these old classic cars being destroyed by these idiotic “supposed rally drivers”. However, excellent filming of these events. 😊
”Demolition derby” as if the video is indeed supposed to contain only crashes and fails. These cars have been rally cars for a long time, and get fixed everytime.
That Volvo 164 was not being driven well at all! The 164, like the 140 and 240 cars, rides on one of the all-time great platforms. My 1990 240DL wagon is regularly driven at those speeds under road conditions that poor or worse and never puts a tire wrong.

Heartbreaking to watch these historic cars being destroyed by people who clearly have more money than brains or driving ability.
These cars have been Racing Cars for their whole life. They are well taken care of. This video shows just one crash the car has made, one of many.
The cars can be repaired. They are being driven precisely in the manner they were built for.
