Great walkthrough!! My wife and I have a 2018 Flying Cloud 19cb and absolutely love it. The 19 is really a perfect trailer for a couple that want something nimble that can fit almost anywhere. We've watched our friends struggle to park their huge fifth wheels in places that we can park without any issues.
@Yama86, that looks like a nice floor plan for the 19CB. I'd want to see them in-person of course but I think if I was going to choose, I'd take the 22FB. I like that layout the best... - the bathroom is closed off, - your toilet is not "in" the shower like the 16RB, - the shower looks a tad roomier using all of the available space in the corner, - the bathroom sink is in the bathroom the way I'd prefer it, - the clothes/linen closet is right there at the bathroom, (of course it were possible, I'd trade out that closet for a stackable washer/dryer combo) - I like that the dining area is directly across from the kitchen, - I like the bed being at the front of the trailer.
Great walkthrough Patrick! Love our 19cb we purchased from Colonial two summers back. @ the end of your video, I'm reminded again about a safety concern. In my humble opinion, ALL travel trailers should have a galvanized metal propane hose from the regulator to the underbelly. Rodents do eat holes through those rubber hoses - major risk of an unwanted disaster. Cheers
Patrick! I have been watching your airstream videos for over 7 years, you have grown so much over the years in your confidence and cadence. Nobody else does it like you. Your reviews are a standard that other dealerships should be held to. Patrick thank you for a great tour... I had just watched a Bambi tour & I really appreciate knowing the difference... I especially like the idea of a quieter A/C... I like Your Airstream too...
I say this about the solar because for someone to buy something this small it's to be able to get out into the forest and be in nature not to buy something this small to go sit in an RV park plugged in
...its a 19CB, you have 19 years of service with the company, the last 4 digits of the phone number is 9019 that also coincide with your 19 years and Airstream's 90 year anniversary. Congratulations, Patrick - nearly 20 years in something you love, good for you! Congratulations to Airstream also 90 years is no small feat. 👍👍 Colonial was smart to hire you. 😉 Haha. Patrick, you're still great after all these years, always enjoyable watching your demos.
Yo Patrick, Awesome tour. I love the detailed content on the operation of all the systems, whether it be electrical or manual. You know your product! Thanks for a great vid. Hello again from Mid Michigan
Patrick -- (question at the end)I have watched nearly all of your walk thu trailer ‘events’ (size by size). My best fiend is about to retire and he’s been saving to buy one of these now for a couple years. Gonna sell his home here in Alaska and fly down & buy a truck and unit -- I’ve been suggesting from you. Each time I see or hear a new tip from you I send him the site in UA-cam -- then the notes and texts back and forth. They have settled on a 23 RQB something . . . I would love to see where (since you have 2 different size units & years of sales and experience) where do YOU put the hoses and electric cables and tools provided -- for his soon to be ONLY home.
Man I with the 19 had the layout of the 16 with the rear bed and windows, that way the shower could b a dry bathroom. The cb with no wrap around windows kills it as an option.
Great review! Love these long walk-throughs. Really looking forward to you getting a Pottery Barn in and conducting your thorough walk through and demo. When you do please high light the storage in the Pottery Barn.........from the factory video and what we know on the website it looks like interior storage is lacking......great vid looking forward to the next.
We visited an Airstream dealer last Saturday, specifically to look at a 19CB. We liked it, in general, although I'm not happy about the cabinet doors. But, we made the mistake of going into the Pottery Barn edition 28RB. Now, none of the other Airstreams (or any other travel trailers on the market) are acceptable. We instantly fell in love with the PB edition. We'll be ordering one as soon as we can come up with the initial $5000 non-refundable deposit Airstream requires. It's twice the money I wanted to spend, and will cost as much as an apartment, but we're committed.
Thanks Patrick! We’re still torn between the 19cb or the 16rb Bambi, the carvel is so beautiful! We plan on taking the big step buying one next year. One (of many) questions I have is… do the trailers batteries charge while it’s being towed? Does it use the tow vehicle or the solar panels? I’ve heard the new all electric refrigerator drains the batteries quickly? Thanks again for your videos the wife and I watch them all the time.
@@colonialairstream great thanks! Is that part of the 7 pin connector? So the refrigerator will run while we’re towing correct? I.e. keeping its contents cold and not depleting the battery.
We still prefer the Bambi - lighter interior (vs dark) in combo with the white inside the cabinets - nicer transition lighter to white, than dark to white; don't like the higher cook top in Caravel - Bambi is flat and therefore more useable counter space for prep. That being said we do like the bumper and the aluminum steps on the Caravel better. Glad Airstream has something for everyone's taste.
Patrick, Thank you so much for your another outstanding presentation. When the border will be open, we’ll visit Colonial Airstream. No doubt! Airstream Canadian Fans!

So to get the hot water tank to Sense the flow to turn on, any of the hot water valves have to be turned on full... so what’s the point of having mixing valves at all? It looks like you have a choice of cold water on the cold side, and hot water on the hot side… With nothing in between. And then you would set your temperature Before a shower to 104 is 105 and turn the hot water on full. And then before you do dishes you would set the hot water to 125. Am I getting this right? It almost makes you feel that you don’t need two water lines at all...Just set the temp for the water desired. But for sure what’s the point of mixing valves in the kitchen and the bathroom when you can’t mix?
Very thorough explanation! I’m getting the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder. I’m told with the upgrade, it’ll tow 6000 lbs with a tongue weight of 600 lbs. In your opinion, do you think it’ll be able to tow this?
@@colonialairstream 🤔 maybe not. Listening to you describe the specs, this RV seems heavy and has a heavy tongue weight so it might be pushing it. Again, the Pathfinder has a towing capacity of 6000 lbs and a max tongue weight of 600 lbs. It probably requires a truck and that isn’t possible for me. 😢
Thank you Patrick. I always enjoy your tours. I was trying to take the kitchen drawer out using your tip. One side will squeeze, but not the other one. I have a 19 ft 2014 Flying Cloud. Wondering if they’re the same as what you described.

Great video, you and your camera person have this whole thing dialed in. Quick question: how do the furnaces on these airstreams handle dry camping in 0 F temperatures?
Good question! The furnace will maintain water protection down into the mid to low 20's. They will provide comfortable heat for you much lower than that.
This is a great video! We have a 2022 Caravel on order and arriving in a couple months. The Hefty Storage Solutions bins fit under the bed perfectly and we’d like to get some for our Caravel. Would you please tell us which bins they are? We can’t quite read the label on the bins in the video. Love what you are doing for the Airstream community.
I was this many years old when I found out there was difference in BTU’s on cooktop between Bambi and Caravel . Does it change as you go up in models or is it just dependent on number of burners? Glad they have gone to a marine type covering for the floors , super easy to clean and as you said no rot . Thank you for showing bathroom door placement, recently went through a couple corner baths and I told husband there’s no way it stays out as a square shape when not in use , said it has to sit other way for more room . Good design for that . Appreciate how thorough you are on these demonstrations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Patrick, your walkthrough videos are fantastic. Very detailed and no fluff. One question. Since it is virtually impossible to go to any Airstream dealer and compare the interior finishes like the four options of Globetrotter, because of the short supply right now, how can we get a realistic idea so we can pick the one we want to order?
Without propane option to run the fridge, that is a huge pass for me. 12V is sketchy for fridge, shore power is non existent in most camp grounds I camp at.
I have had nothing but great feedback form customers on the NOVA KOOL refrigerator. Airstream has been using them in the Interstate since 2008. My solar is able to maintain function on my own personal Airstream without plugging in.
What I don't understand is with all the improved technology with solar how airstream doesn't increase the solar panels and the inverter so that an air condition can be used in boondocking technology is gone way too far for you not to be able to accommodate this even if it's an added charge
There is not enough room on the roof of this trailer for enough panels to run charge the batteries enough to run an air conditioning. Also it would need about 6 more batteries to have enough capacity which would take up all the storage and add more weight.

Thank you Andy.
Feature-wise, you reference the Bambi like it’s the red-headed step child of Airstream.
Not at all buddy, I own one personally. Sometime basic, lighter weight and lower price point is better. We sell equal amounts of both products.
The propane hose to use for outdoor cooking seems to be a pretty good distance from the door to the inside?
Yes, that is on purpose so cooking is not done under the awning which is a fire hazard.
Can I remove one propane tank to reduce tongue weight just by disconnecting ? or would I need to cap it off somehow?
Once can be removed for reduction. No cap off is necessary.
