It's amazing what you accomplished in 8 or so years, Doug. Perfection comes with experience. In addition, Neil certainly delivered his experience at HAN 1972. Oh to have been there! The lighting alone is magical and sets such an indescribable mood! Beautiful!

I must admit that when I view some of my early efforts, I cringe. All 4:3 instead of 16:9 (widescreen) for starters. Neil most certainly delivered his experience at HAN 1972. Incidentally, I further tinkered with the HAN 50th Anniversary video. 😊Torture not being able to upload it until mid-August. 😔😊

May, you're a lucky girl!
Neil never came to Portugal. Never gave a concert in Spain. I was given the chance to go to New York three times! Wonderful musicals, but helaas! Neil wasn't performing in New York on any of those occasions. However, I was in love with him too! Like so many others!
In one of his interviews he was asked what songs did he like better. One of those he named was PlayMe. I love it too. The poem is so beautiful but what really does it for me in this song is the voice. The way he uses his voice to caress the woman he's singing to! And HAN72 is the most heartfelt delivery of this song. So, thank you, Doug.

Thank you Joana. I could say, _I am... I said_ (very demanding of myself), but that's already been taken.😊 I am regrettably, afflicted by the perfectionist bug; realise that it is a neurosis. Everything _has_ to be just right with each vide. It is not uncommon for me to generate the video file from the project, view it then return to the project to rectify whatever miniscule error I spot. This generally occurs over half-a-dozen times... until the acceptable (by me) final.😊

🦋 "Play Me " has been on my mind for several months. Neil Diamond and his phenomenal music re-entered my life recently and it bubbled to the top after discovering this exquisite channel devoted to excellence in presenting his songs! There is another reason, but that remains in the echoes of my mind. 🙂
My love for Neil's music began in the early 70's and really culminated in 1976 when I saw him "live" in Atlanta (Fox Theater) and again in Las Vegas the same year (he opened the Performing Arts Theater at the Aladdin Hotel). You could say my 4th of July in 1976 was quite explosive-- I was at the July 3rd performance!
Afterwards, life went on and I moved on letting Neil's music sort of simmer on the back burner, but always close! In 2000, Play Me crashed into my life through a friend and became very important once again. And 22 years later, now, it's right in the foreground of all my music favorites once again.
"PLAY ME " gets into my soul and just percolates and then soothes my mind. It will always be my go-to Neil Diamond song. 💎 This video projects the dreamy feeling that only Play Me can evoke. This is a beautiful video, so perfectly enhancing the song!

A beautiful song of evolving love I always remember Neil singing this song live and all the women in the audience cheering and applauding after the line "Play Me" It almost seemed to give it a sexual meaning but that was just "the fun" of a live concert Love and Neil "go together" like no other feeling and artist

Mmmm hmmm...so beautiful. Doug, I thoroughly enjoyed the article by Dave Radstock from Woburn Abbey, 1977. I pasted it to the video on youtube because I felt that anyone who loves ND as much as me would love it. I literally had goosebumps the further I got into it. I almost felt as if I had been there. I've never been to a concert in my life, and of all the music I love, Neil Diamond is the one person who I would have loved to have seen live more than any other singer or band.
