Great video! Sounds good homie! I’ve got a 2017 STI (my first Subaru) and I have the Remark deletes and this just sold me on getting that mid-pipe. Sounds so nice! Love being able to hear that turbo spool back down after the revs.

i just got the same exhaust, man what a difference. At first i had my sti for a year with just my muffler delete, and now got the non reasonated midpipe and what a difference, i was in shock, perfect tone/ volume for an exhaust. i dont know how i didnt get it before lol

Nice. What intake are you running? The one that claims that you don't need a tune? I think as long as the MAF housing size is the same as stock it won't run lean. In reality it's just an intake. How much damage could it cause by itself? I'd really like to hear from someone first hand instead of people just regurgitating what they read online.

@@Hirogen7 Man, EVERYTHING I've read says you need a tune after an intake. Additionally, it seems like you're not going to get significant gains from an intake, other than some of that 150% turbo whistle. I've got a Borla S-type on mine, tightened up the shift with a front shifter bushing (no rear yet as the Perrin was an install nightmare), and a whiteline 22mm rear sway with kartboy endlinks on tap for installation this weekend. I'd say stay away from power gains for now and go for suspension. Tighten up that body roll, give it a snappier turn-in. That's the direction I'm going in. Since I'm a pleb I've got the cheap-o stereo, that's another upgrade route I'm going.

It's the Remark exhaust. I never looked back there to see if any flames come out, but I'm pretty sure you need something more on a car like this to have flames shoot out though... like an antilag system
Let’s get your opinion. I have a 19 STi with the remark axle back. Thinking about adding the remark midpipe (resonated) to make it a true catback. Is this one resonated? I can’t decide if I should do a) resonated b) non resonated or c) leave at axle back lol. The axle back is beautiful, I just don’t want to add tooooooo much more noise. Yours sounds great.
The one I have is non-resonated. It's pretty loud but you get used to it quickly. I'm not sure on what difference sound-wise a resonated mid-pipe would have over your stock setup.

Car Mod Guy I pick up the car tomorrow. They will be dyno tuning it tomorrow also. I’ll get back to you when I pick it up. Also I added an AOS by IAG because these cars tend to have a bit of blow by oil. Downside to an AOS is that you MIGHT need a retune according to IAG.
@@gosudream4018 really you need a retune for adding an air/oil separator? The computer is expecting that much oil being dumped back in? If that's the case, then I definitely need to do the AOS soon.
Car Mod Guy I was surprised myself about the re-tune for the AOS. The tuning shop I went to says it’s the most common upgrade for these cars. If you want you can also take off the coupler for the intercooler where it meets the throttle body and check for oil there.

I have the Deletes on my 18 sti, Im not sold on it yet since the sound is not a deep sound like a other exhausts will give, but I do know the deletes is not a full cutback. how would you say it sounds with the midpipe? somewhat raspy at high rpms or downshifting? or is it a deep rumble sound? at least the muffler deletes on their own don't have that sound.
No raspiness whatsoever...I was honestly surprised considering it’s a 4 cylinder engine. Others have told me that the resonator delete that you get with the catback system makes a huge difference.

Think about it this way , you will own a legendary monster not the little brother but the big bro that no one likes to mess with , you get the last of the eJ motor , because after the 2019 kiss them good bye I’m sure subaru will roll with the FA,engines so you will own the last of the eJ I’m sure value could maybe go up ?
the Fa engine is no joke brother. My buddies wrx is modded and is 450whp sti cant even compete. Those Ej engines are old and there is a reason they are getting rid of them
I’m not sure how strict California is when it comes to everything, but any car will pass emissions as long as you don’t mess with the catalytic converter.
Do you have any burble tune or anything to get those backfires or is it just the mid-pipe and axle back? If it is I’m sold I haven’t heard any other exhaust with stock dp that’ll get me that kinda backfire without a burble tune
Amro Issa that’s right. Over the winter I put the mufflers back on with the resonator delete and it sounded pretty good...like a mature adult. But as soon as spring came, the mufflers we’re back off and I’ve been enjoying the sound ever since
So, this is a Remark muffler delete (axle back) with a Remark mid-pipe delete? That's two less restrictive items. I can only imagine the drone on this thing. I got an order for just the axle back delete to get a nice rumble and to keep the police off my back. Also, I want to avoid the drone as much as I can.
I'm 5'11. I have plenty of leg room. If I push my seat all the way back, I have a hard time reaching the clutch, so there's no problem with the car seat behind me, and my son has plenty of room.
@@angeldiaz7677 I think you'll have trouble in most cars then lol. How big is the one that's going to be going behind you? An adult would not have any issues sitting behind you. With a car seat, you may have to sit in a more proper, upright position vs the gangster position.

i believe the ECU has it so that it's limited to the 305HP from factory,maybe a littl EZFlash tune and it should open the flood gates for extra power,however im not 100% sure of this
It sounds way better on the ej than the fa. I bought muffler deletes axle backs thank God and didn't like them. I bought the invidia r400 and in my opinion it's the best cat back out there. The unequal length headers aren't necessarily a good thing for the motor.
@@CarModGuy man I'll be honest the real reason I didn't go for an sti was the ej. I'm a worry wort as it is and all the stories off rings failing made me nervous. Subaru extended the warranty for the motor though. The pistons are supposed to be different on the 19s. I'd still put the Perrin equal length headers to relieve pressure on cylinders to be safe but that's me. Worry wort remember.

It just seems like that usually this is the case: A person abuses their car, upgrades it with a ton of aftermarket parts, blows the engine, then removes all of the parts and takes it to the dealership stating "Subaru ringland failure." I'm not too worried about it honestly. If I start upgrading the engine heavily, internals will be forged anyways. I would be curious to hear from some people that babied their STi and blew the motor due to ringland failure.
I have 31,000 miles on my 2017 sti. No mods as of yet. But I do drive it hard, around 20 launches, many canyon runs, and thing takes it all, 0 problems. But maintenance, car warmed up, after spirited driving let it cool down for 5 mins before you turn it off and you will be fine.
I mean I love my wrx but if ur gonna do it do big I have a 2019 Wrx Sti limited with the Recaro seats and the Harmon sound system but I never listen to it so I have a cobb 3inch catback exhaust with a cobb down pipe,injencold air intake,process west top mount intercooler with a gfb bov and the cobb accessport man I love the rumble but your sti sounds good bro keep up the cool vids whats up with your son and the evo lol

Wondering how this compares with the nameless cat back muffler deletes. To me they are close but remark sounds a little better.
Not sure. It's just piping. The only difference might be the diameter of the pipe. I got Remark just because of the welds 😁

Correct and resonator delete. Drone did get annoying at slower freeway speeds. I ended up insulating the entire car so there’s no more drone

I don’t hear it much anymore. If you go with a catless downpipe you’ll hear the turbo a lot more.

There’s definitely drone at certain highway speeds. Enough to make you question whether you’re causing ear damage.

Do you have any burble tune or anything to get those backfires or is it just the mid-pipe and axle back? If it is I’m sold I haven’t heard any other exhaust with stock dp that’ll get me that kinda backfire without a burble tune

Amro Issa that’s right. Over the winter I put the mufflers back on with the resonator delete and it sounded pretty good...like a mature adult. But as soon as spring came, the mufflers we’re back off and I’ve been enjoying the sound ever since

So, this is a Remark muffler delete (axle back) with a Remark mid-pipe delete? That's two less restrictive items. I can only imagine the drone on this thing. I got an order for just the axle back delete to get a nice rumble and to keep the police off my back. Also, I want to avoid the drone as much as I can.
It wasn’t bad...but I did insulate the entire car so there’s no more drone whatsoever

I'm 5'11. I have plenty of leg room. If I push my seat all the way back, I have a hard time reaching the clutch, so there's no problem with the car seat behind me, and my son has plenty of room.

@@angeldiaz7677 I think you'll have trouble in most cars then lol. How big is the one that's going to be going behind you? An adult would not have any issues sitting behind you. With a car seat, you may have to sit in a more proper, upright position vs the gangster position.
Car Mod Guy I have an accord coupe. Very spacious for me. But now tight for my legs due too the oldest sons legs growing And now having too adjust the seat forward. Currently shopping for this car. Curious what was payments and insurance at.

Thanks Christian. There was drone around ~3k RPM...but once I insulated my car the drone was eliminated.

i believe the ECU has it so that it's limited to the 305HP from factory,maybe a littl EZFlash tune and it should open the flood gates for extra power,however im not 100% sure of this

It sounds way better on the ej than the fa. I bought muffler deletes axle backs thank God and didn't like them. I bought the invidia r400 and in my opinion it's the best cat back out there. The unequal length headers aren't necessarily a good thing for the motor.

@@CarModGuy man I'll be honest the real reason I didn't go for an sti was the ej. I'm a worry wort as it is and all the stories off rings failing made me nervous. Subaru extended the warranty for the motor though. The pistons are supposed to be different on the 19s. I'd still put the Perrin equal length headers to relieve pressure on cylinders to be safe but that's me. Worry wort remember.
@@jameskocks4734 I've read a lot on that too. It just seems like that usually this is the case: A person abuses their car, upgrades it with a ton of aftermarket parts, blows the engine, then removes all of the parts and takes it to the dealership stating "Subaru ringland failure." I'm not too worried about it honestly. If I start upgrading the engine heavily, internals will be forged anyways. I would be curious to hear from some people that babied their STi and blew the motor due to ringland failure.

I have 31,000 miles on my 2017 sti. No mods as of yet. But I do drive it hard, around 20 launches, many canyon runs, and thing takes it all, 0 problems. But maintenance, car warmed up, after spirited driving let it cool down for 5 mins before you turn it off and you will be fine.

I think you're right. The STi definitely feels faster
I mean I love my wrx but if ur gonna do it do big I have a 2019 Wrx Sti limited with the Recaro seats and the Harmon sound system but I never listen to it so I have a cobb 3inch catback exhaust with a cobb down pipe,injencold air intake,process west top mount intercooler with a gfb bov and the cobb accessport man I love the rumble but your sti sounds good bro keep up the cool vids whats up with your son and the evo lol
