Not trying to nitpick, but the photo of Peta Nocona is actually Red Cloud, the great Oglala warrior. As far as I know, there is not an extant photo of Peta Nocona. The book, Empire of the Summer Moon, does a decent job of telling the story of Quanah.
This is not "history." This is a bunch of positive effects and affirmations rightfully remembered about Quanah Parker, but it glosses over the actual historical FACTS of Parker's life (and that of his Mother), as well as the many wars the Comanche fought against the United States (and in some cases, justifiably so!). Parker, like the Comanche whom he led, was forced to adapt, not because they wanted to, but because the Buffalo were killed, their Horses were killed, and they were finally starved to death if they didn't show up at the Reservations and turn themselves in. YES, Parker leaves a monumental legacy -- but explain the actual FACTS of history to demonstrate why that SO IMPORTANT!
thanks for your comments although there is only so much I could cover in this video, I think I touched on some important points, might be making a follow up on this anyway :)
He would have gotten along great with the German settlers at Fredricksburg Texas, who signed a treaty with the local Comanches that was never broken by either side. When the US Army established a military post near Fredricksburg to protect the settlers from the Comanches, the soldiers wondered what they were doing there since it was common to see Comanches and white settlers walking down the streets of Fredricksburg talking to each other and treating each other with respect.
What a guy, pity there are not more shows and movies with him.
Never heard of him before but it would make a great series
agreed, it would be great to see
I had heard small parts about him. This filled a lot. He adapted became the stuff of legends.
glad you enjoyed it, are there any topics you would like to see covered
The first time I heard of him was when his third great grandson asked me to draw a picture of him taken from a photo! His legend lives on!

You said what I was going to say.
Not every Buddha knows totality of the universe as well as #Bogoslowsky. “Suffering in the world increases or decreases, depending on human behavior.”
That was very well explained...but that was Red Cloud not Peta Nacona...
thanks for your comment, and my bad on that , ill do better next time :)
