I was accepted as a member of the Class of 2026 and applied ED II. My stat were for sure below average for Midd (gpa and stuff), but my essays, LOR's and extracurriculars were all pretty solid. As far as tips, here's what I have: - Apply ED I or II. There is for sure an ED boost in terms of increasing your chances for admissions. Also Midd is one of the few schools in the country that is need-blind and meets 100% of demonstrated financial need, so don't worry about being financially screwed if you apply ED. - Make your essay good. Midd does not have supplemental essays on their application, so your main Common App essay has to be bangin. My advice for the essay is to start early and have your best teachers look it over. The essay is not just about clean writing and being well organized, it a 650 word introduction to you as a person. Make sure it's awesome! - Get an interview. ED applicants all get an interview and Midd tries to get all RD applicants an interview as well. My interview, I'm convinced, was one of the main reasons I got in. Because my stats were so bad, I had to give dimension and character to my application that showed Midd why they should accept me. My interview went very well (my interviewer went to my high school lol). Middlebury got to see a part of me that was otherwise impossible, so try and get an interview. - Visit. Midd has a unique vibe and if you don't jive with it, it might not be smart to apply. This is the least important of the tips tho because Middlebury is a great place, despite being frozen half the year. Good luck! Remember start early and plan. Regardless of where you apply or go, I hope you have a great senior year and great 4 years at college.
Hi I am a incoming 2026 this fall! I applied ED! I have some questions about the freshman dorm rooms (any info regarding there size & what to bring & roommates would be helpful)! Also, what classes do we take freshman year?
The accepted student's page has a checklist of what to bring and what not to bring. There is also information regarding when housing and roommate selection will be sent out.
Congratulations! Ayaan's tip is on point. I'd personally recommend to not overpack, because you'll end up having a lot to pack at the end of the semester/academic year.
Heyy, I'm a junior really looking forward to applying to Midd. Do you have any tips on the application process?

Hey, Raquel! This is a great question -- I'm happy to share my story in one of the upcoming videos
