I'm amazed by the maturity of the students.. they saw through the whole thing and asked questions which the speaker just couldn't answer
Apparently, you have not heard the full answer. The students were happy with the answers. They did not contest. If you looked at it with coloured glass, you will get wrong ideas only.
I really happy that these young people are matured enough. Please ask questions wherever it's needed and be rational. Kudos to that young men!!!

Mr Uma Shankar you are misinterpreting the surahs. Surah 5.33 as u said "you can beat your wife" is not mention. Why are you misguiding people towards false belief? you are been such a hypocrite. Female genital mutilation is majorly a African problem.
Is there any reports of such mutilation among muslims in Indian subcontinent ? The answer will be no.
This is like female foeticide in Indian subcontinent,few decades before , it was prevalent across people of all faith.Fortunately,there has been decrease in such practices due to awareness.
Similarly,Female genital mutilation problem in Africa will be reduced gradually.Its not a problem for muslims alone,Christians and animists too do that.
