Thanks for sharing . I have a kinesis advantage 360 . The only thing stopping me from getting the UHU is it isn’t welled but I may still give it a shot .
I absolutely adore the trackpoint module on mine. Been using it for about a year now, and I just don't use my mouse when working. Heck, in some games I opt to use it over a mouse. Once you get used to it it's very useable as a mouse replacement for general tasks. No, I wouldn't use it for an fps, but for something like factorio or non fps games it works wonderfully. I find the trick is to use your thumb for the trackpoint and then use the left module right/left clicks with the other thumbs.
I'm more of a trackpoint guy though so I found the hardest part adapting to using a different finger for it, but after that it feels great.
I own the UHK2. I agree that the software is really great! I'd love if they offered the key module also for the right side.
Thanks for the nice review!
Great review ! Still using this ?
thank you for detailed review
The keyboard looks lit
if only it had function keys are some more additional macro keys. I am so used to using f1-f8 for application selection and copy paste.
I would love to try a glove 80 but in EU availability is not good.
get a macro pad, which costs about 40. i discovered, that if the main keyboard doesn't have function key, good solution is a separate dedicated macro pad. which provide more keys than just 12.
23:30 in the past you were very much against dual function keys. Like holding ctrl and then pressing other keys. You were in favor of having every keystroke as a seperate input. What changed now? is the distance of the key?
duel function keys are great. it has issues, such as the key won't be able to hold to repeat. but home mod, eg make all homerow keys to be modifiers, has problem such that one'd accidentally invoke it frequently if u r a touch-typist. the great use of dual-purposes keys is put it on a key that does not need to be held-repeat and is not part of common typing. eg put it on tab, esc, enter, home, end.
how about lily58 pro or ErgoDash ?
Keychron Q11 is a serious competitor to uhk
it would be was it available ...
Bought the UHK in the mean time and like it alot.
I think you can buy a house, if you sell all your keyboards 😅
