- Demo of my homemade LZ'73 multi effect pedal which I created to replicate the live sound of Jimmy Page during the 1973 years of Led Zeppelin - although it can handle any of his Marshall years nicely!
Disclaimer:
No amps were harmed in the making of this video.
If I say tone, the notes and the bends are perfect, it would be an understatement
That's one heck of a compliment - thank you!
Frank, i commented on you No Quarter a while back and let me just say, this is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!! I'm not worthy 😂. Get these babies produced!!!

I would love to see you bring this back. If you do, I’ll be keeping an eye out. I want one, bad.
Any chance of a tab?
Hey Frank,
could you please make a version of this intro were you sit down and show it. I´m really struggeling to nail this solo as good as you did and it´s hard to get all the timings right.
not note for note but great feel. I wish you did the whole song.
Fantastic playing and tone, as always Frank! Hey, is that a rubber band around your strings by the headstock? Some dark secret for better sustain??
Thanks Lincoln - no that's not a rubber band - it's a thumb pick! I just tuck them in up there to keep them handy.
I'll tell you what. If you go out and buy lets say a catlinbread rah and a bell epoc your spending almost as much as this but sounding no where near this tone as I have tried that and many other combinations. I own a real 69 marshall ,early ep-3 a 68 basketweave cabs with g12h30 greenbacks and still swear by this pedal and I have searched high and low. I play a gil yaron with a 1959 paf and a 69 t-top for the zep and there is no pedal out there which works with so many of my amps of which I own fenders, marshalls, supros ect.even a solid state amp sounds like live zep from 73 and you can dial in other great classic rock aerosmith ect.I spent too much money when I could have bought a decent amp a decient les paul and one of these. I don't know how this dude did it but 500 is a steal raise your prices my man make it 700 dollars as there is no competition out there. Don"t listen to this guy he will be cheap and never have the sound and he's playing with his shoe strings instead of the guitar !!!!!!!
Hey Frank, which IR are you using for this one?
Guitar into LZ'73 effect pedal - into cabinet simulator into Tascam recorder. I did not use an amplifier.
@@FrankPerri7 Thanks for the fast response. Which cabinet simulator did you use? Any impulse responses? Thank again!
@@greentea9335 You're welcome! The cabinet simulator is in my Digitech Trio pedal - that's all that I know about it.
Are these still for sale?
Not at this time - as I no longer have a work shop - sorry.
Thicker pick? Maybe just the recording but if you had a big more attack and bite on the string it would be amazing. Great job though!!! Sounds awesome!
Where do you get your money? Nobo
Are you still selling that pedal for the insane price of $500
Yeah, I know I should be asking at least $600 for it - after all, where are you going to get 3 different effects (A great sounding Marshall Plexi circuit, a delay circuit that sounds like tape delay and an Echoplex EP-3 Preamp) in one pedal for $500? Not to mention that it sounds remarkably like Jimmy Page's live guitar tone! I'm crazy, right?
Frank Perri where can I find it?
@FrankPerri7 very very nice
