I'm actually surprised that Jeremy Kyle lasted for as long as it did before it was finally axed. It was comprised of nothing except for volatile screaming matches.
Made ITV so much money, they only care for their share price
It was absolutely crap it didn’t even help people
It was the most watched show in England that’s why
A lie detector with a 50-50 fail rate was used to destroy lives.
You could flip a coin for the same results.
I'm baffled as to why the hard of thinking went on it. But that said they were lied to and talked into it.
The whole show was a political smear campaign on working class of people, it was designed to fit the right wing narrative of Broken Britain at the time. A time by the way with a larger economy ($4 trillion) that we have never improved on.
The "Broken Britain" narrative was spread wide, it was a narrative where the sick disabled and poorly paid where demonised for owning as much as TV, whilst the financial, corporate and political classes stole unimaginable sums from the country.
The thing is though, the public loves that shit

@@WatchMojoUK one of my favourite bits was when Chris morris was interviewing some celebrity, I can’t for the life of me remember which one. It was a woman for sure. The episode was about crime.

You'd have thought the Beeb would have learned their lesson after what happened to Michael Lush, but then this is the same corporation that turned a blind eye to what a certain Jimmy Savile was getting up to for decades. They don't care about anything apart from ratings.
When Phillip Schofield came out I think everyone was confused because we all already knew that he was gay.

I still remember Jeremy Kyle and I’m surprised it lasted all these years.
People love that shit and it made the corporation so much money they ignored everything else. Sad that they put money and popularity over the heartbreak and mental health of the contestants, but that's the truth of it

It's a miracle he has still managed to retain a career after the series ended. The man is the smarmiest, vilest excuse for a human being imaginable. And calling him a human being is being charitable.

How people and the network reacted to Brass Eye was ridiculous. It was overly obvious that it was a parody of news coverage and not making fun of victims of pedophilia. Yes it was very dark humor, but c’mon that was the point! Very very sad it wasn’t able to continue onward. Chris Morris is such a highly underrated comedy genius.

Ths difference is Jerry isn't shouting in people's faces calling them all kinds of names on TV. It's an embarrassing show, but the guests also aren't being humiliated and yelled at by the presenter
@jonnybaynham1689 they just humiliate each other and are made fun of by him at times whilst then being allowed to physically attack each other. They are both as bad each other in certain ways, and tbh, the guests all choose to put themselves on there to air they're dirty laundry, knowing exactly what happens on these shows. Idk if your in the UK but there's a show called embarrassing bodies. People see these doctors because they are too ashamed to go to their GP....so they go on a TV show so not only the doctors know about it, the entire country does - it honestly baffles lol
Jerry Springer was purely for adults and you knew what you were getting into Jeremy Kyle was there to 'help' people during the daytime slot.

Most of the Most Haunted crew, but mainly Yvette Fielding and Karl Beattie 8. Carol Vorderman 9. Naga Munchetty and 10. Martin Bashir - I'll leave it at that for now, but I get an instant rage when they pop up on the telly and I have to switch it over or turn it off!

As someone who has spent a good portion of their life wishing they’d never been born and been properly suicidal on many occasions, plus 2 half arsed attempts to kill myself, I can say that this incident was inevitable. Not because of the show, but because the type of people who went on there were in various levels of emotional instability. I have little doubt that most, if not all, individuals who have taken their own life, after appearing on the show, would have done so sooner or later anyway.
Yes, the show stretched themselves too thin regarding helping people, but that is because mental illness is not taken seriously enough and there is not enough help out there.
Yes, it was exploitative TV, but we like gossip and watching fighting, it’s human nature. Disturbed people, addicts etc, all got help they wouldn’t have otherwise gotten in return for their story and embarrassing themselves on TV.
I hated the show, because of the clips that always showed shouting etc. Then I watched the show and realized that it wasn’t just a UK version The Jerry Springer Show. I now know how to deal with confrontational people due to Jeremy dealing with the stupidity etc, and Graham asking fairly logical questions and giving sound advice. It has enabled me to deal with so many volatile situations that I couldn’t before. If we learned how to be a stable smart person at school, rather than a bunch of stuff we’ll never use, our crime rates would lower and we would have a better society in general. Instead we say, “oh it’s the parents job to teach their kids how to behave, not teachers.” Yes! Yes it is their job, but they don’t always, because their parents didn’t get taught how to do it and so on. Break the cycle! Teach children how to be good, smart and happy people, then teach them the other stuff.
I wonder how many people are dead, maimed or miserable because they never got on the show and normal NHS help relies on depressed people to find their own motivation to get help. Many people just don’t have the capacity to do it. We’re all driven by emotions. If you don’t have any emotional will to live, have little fear of death, can’t feel empathy for others, want to not exist; you’re probably going to be an addict or kill yourself. Unless the only thing that excites you is murder; then you might become a killer or even a serial killer. 😣
I think the NHS do help, I've been prescribed medication and been given counselling, on the phone and face to face with a psychologist.

the one that baffles ne is Top Gear. Flintoff 's accident.... what about Hammond's several accidents, especially the last one that lead to a prolonged coma and brain injury? The fact remains that Top Gear was dying since they ditched Clarkson, Hammond and May - the Flintoff accident was just an excuse to ditch it. Long live The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm - and Hammonds garage Mays shows too - what the hell were the BBC thinking
A girl i went to school with ended herself a couple of years after an appearance on JK. I don't think you can say the show was directly responsible for it but she was having mad extramarital affairs

The Jeremy Kyle Show was supposed to be a conflict resolution show to provide help and support but it did the opposite and as a result 3 people including a woman who worked on the show committed suicide. Love Island has had the same fatalities and is total trash, but the difference is love Island doesn't hide what it is. Although you are right. Love Island should be axed.

I don't think anyone or anything can be blamed for someone taking their own life (unless they were a victim of abuse). Depression is a terrible illness, and you can help the person in many ways, but sometimes it is in vain. Sometimes the person just enters a very dark place and nothing is going to stop them taking their own life.
That’s what made the Jeremy Kyle so so good plus, not their fault of people can’t handle being exposed

did anyone check out the richard hammond crash? what do you mean, which one ya cheeky sausage lol. freddie flintoff has a little ding and gets all stroppy about it. richard hammond (it has been reported) was driving at 320mph when a tyre blew out. he said after the crash that it rattled his brain about a bit. rimac claimed themselves that richards crash in their prototype that his speed at the time of the crash was over 150mph. did he moan? well yeah, he did a bit as he was being pulled from the wrecked jet car, but thats to be expected i guess. he was more bothered about his watch when he crashed the rimac! freddie is great at throwing balls about, but just isnt made of tougher stuff it would seem. the brummie guts all the way i guess for the little fella!!!

Jeremy Kylie is Britain's most Hated person. He should never be allowed to have his face put back onto any TV screen unless it's because he's standing in the dock in the Old Bailey.
7:16 The allegations were not from "a teenaged boy." They were made by the grifting parents of a 20 year old man.
Shame about Ed Westwick and White Gold, he was just another victim of cancel culture and it sadly took down one of the most original sitcoms in years with him. Also I'm surprised Chris Langham wasn't mentioned, he was a relatively popular comedy actor until he was done for having CP. Nearly took down the thick of it, but it managed to carry on without him, although it did suffer an extended break after the incident.
White Gold wasn't bad but it was always going to only run for two seasons

I only ever saw trailers for the show and can't claim to have watched any of the actual shows but anyone seeing the trailers knew exactly how depraved the show was and everybody on it

Brass eye was incredible! Just need a sense of humour and understand a joke is exactly that its not reality, its simultaneously victimless and victims everyone.
