I lost one of mine, Piper a week ago, she was three. She had a sudden stroke. I understand the pain. She was my escape artist and I still think everytime I come in the room she will be sitting on top of the atrium laughing at me. RIP baby girl and to your Biscuit

Update of my grief: Since I lost my first ever budgie, I was grieving a lot. And since I was feeling like my life had a n empty space, I decided to give my love for another pet.
I got 2 lovebirds! One is named cherry, while my brother named the other floof. I love them both very much and they helped me a lot to get through :)

Biscuit was Cookie's first friend. They shared a beautiful life, You gave them that. Keep your head up king, and don't let that crown of yours fall.

Losing a Budgie is heartbreaking, I lost my Budgie of 10 years on August 22. I feel better now of course but it was a awful feeling. I pray for Biscuit wherever he may be. Rest in peace

One thing I don't understand is why a lot of budgies pass away before their 5th birthday...... We raised a lot of budgies (25 years keeping budgies at this moment) and they all made it to at least 9 years old.
At this moment we have a very healthy female budgie (a bit of an off blue/grey cobalt colored budgie). She's 10.5 years at this moment. Last thursday she was checked by a specialized bird vet (never ever go to a "normal" vet. They don't know what they do to your bird. BE WARNED!!).
She lives with 3 young males (max. 1.5 years old) and is very happy 👍🏻

Me too on 2pm my budgie Scarlet died from choking i dont know why but we called all vets and they said their closed and he died R.I.P Scarlet 2019-2021. Also RIP Biscut he was my 2nd favorite budgie fly high birds😥

I’m sorry your little guy died. I’ve lost two recently. Just before Xmas 2021 I took my much loved Sirius to the vet because I suspected a chest infection. An antibiotic was prescribed but the vet obviously couldn’t do calculations and the dose was too strong. One dose and he died in my hands, I do find that hard to forgive, I checked the drug after he died, did the dose for weight calculation myself and discovered the error too late. Sirius was only 18 months old.
My second loss another young budgie Regulus who I also think got a chest infection, I couldn’t get the vet to see her so she didn’t even get a chance at antibiotics to help her. Warmth, rest, gentle humidification didn’t help. Needless to say I’m looking for a new vet!
Could you let me know where you get those lovely grave markers from? They are the nicest ones I have seen and I can’t find them online and I have searched for them.
I miss Cookie, Biscuit and Salvador , it is very sad to watch them leaving us, I will love them forever. They will be happy in future lives.

I am so sorry for your loss he is with Cookie now flying high I lost my budgie Squeaky July 10th we think it was respiratory infection I tried getting medical advice from a vet on the phone Biscuit looks exactly like my Squeaky these things happen with budgies after that I waited 3 weeks and I got 2 more One is Link (clone of squeaky except has blue on his chest) and then I got Sora and he's rare (Cobalt blue with dark factor and a pink face ) There is a reason why I got a budgie that looks exactly like Squeaky but different my budgie Jihi came in with Squeaky and was so depressed when he died we actually witnessed him fall off the cage and hit the floor I tried catching him and his wings fanned out (All of my other budgies saw this too) I still have nightmares about it I didn't want her to be alone anymore she was bullying the others I made sure the light was off when I put Link in the cage Jihi got really depressed put her head down and I said Jihi Squeaky wouldn't want you to be sad anymore its ok to move on we can't greive over squeaky forever she perked up and is with Link all the time now I still cry about it from time to time its only been two months I just grieve when I need to death is apart of life it shows that sometimes we take things for granted grieving helps.

I woke up this morning to see my bugie named 'Tiny' dead at the bottom of the cage, I feel your pain, I haven't told anyone because most people don't understand. (Similar situation Tiny lost his partner Boytee a month ago.)
My budgie looked exactly like biscuit but her name was kira..I had to give her to one of my neighbors because I found her hurt outside my house.and my neighbor has a lot of budgies and I'm not experienced with them.i really miss having kira on my hand😭

When I first started having budgies for pets I was told by the internet and almost everybody else that budgies live for 15 years! You had two of them die on you in less than 4 years I just lost one that was only 3 years old what's the deal seriously do they live long lives or not I've got three others that are about the same age and they're all doing fine healthwise
I don't know why but when they finally die I feel relieved 😔
