Musiclily makes a couple full size steel tremolo block for Squires, call the Amazonian. Swapped the anemic zinc block out on my Squier 40th Anniversary Vintage, swapped saddles for stainless keyhole type, great sustain now.
@@robertsguitarsandgear Just the block, the Fender/Squier trem itself is great. Check out Highwood saddles if you want bent steel without adjustment screws poking your palm. I swapped the 250K volume pot for a 500K brings all the highs back to the stock dark pickups.
The oversized headstock does increase resonance. Like putting the tip of the guitar neck on a wall and hit the chord you'll hear a difference immediately.
I do not own any Strats and so I can give an objective opinion. I stress this is just what I'm hearing. You can't tell the difference between the sound of the two different guitars in terms of the pickups. What makes all the difference if the guitar sounds in tune. I noticed the ERT does not sound as much in tune as the Squier. Even the Squier sounds a little out of tune. I think both guitars need to be better tuned or they both have issues with the tuning system.

Yes, great replacement Trems for sure!

Thank's for the video. Is that the "Walnut" color?
It is, it looks great.
Hello, how did you get the fretboard to be that color?
Just a lemon oil treatment, the Indian Laurel is a great fretboard wood.
@@robertsguitarsandgear Just lemon oil? I threw him out but nothing stayed like that
@@Kvn_7 yep. It started pretty dark.
Is the frett board glossy?
No, its a matte Indian Laurel.

A well thought out, scripted, presented and produced video. Too bad you can't actually tune or play a guitar.
😂that's called a neg
He's no joe Pass but he's knowledgable and can play good enough to give us a decent demo. You got one? 🎸🎵.😎
the squier sounds better
They really are great guitars.
