Its very possible i am a witness i found out 2 weeks before I had my baby that i was pregnant and what made it seem so crazy i had a problem with ovarian cyst so the doctor had me on estrogen and hormone pills they kept telling me i couldn't get pregnant because i wasn't ovulating i missed my cycle for 2 years so i started having bad headaches i went to a diffrent hospital and thats when they determined that i was expecting and the doctor told me the baby was already in position to be born my blood pressure went up so high they put me in the hospital.
Same thing happened to my girlfriend minus the pizza part. Her mother took her to the hospital while I was asleep cause she was having pains in her stomach and when I woke up the next morning her mom said to me that my girlfriend had a baby boy and they are waiting for me at the hospital. It was a totally weird just having a baby when you didn't know it was coming he is now 5 months old.

Not even premature. She was a little chubby, but not obese. Nothing that could really hide a pregnancy. Turns out her baby was in an unusual position, that doesn't give a big tummy. My sister is a nurse. The would have told here if she had any visible signs of pregnancy. My sister would definitely not have allowed her to drink alcohol, if she had any idea. The second is worse. Our neighbor's 13 year old daughter was complaining about stomach pain. Parents drowe her to the hospital, was told to come back a few hours later, when she was ready to deliver. Imagine the wait at home with the parents.... Must have been weird as fuck. So yeah, it happens.

It's a huge decision not to be taken lightly and some people realize they either wouldn't be good parents or don't want children for financial reasons, or because of their lifestyle (careers, traveling, etc.) doctors know that 40% of pregnancies are unintended, and a large portion of those are unwanted. It's good bedside manner to tell a patient matter of factly that they've a positive pregnancy test. If the patient is happy about the news, then would be a proper time to congratulate them on the pregnancy. It's really common sense. Most OBs don't congratulate patients until gauging the situation, but the doctor in this reenactment was an ER doc, and unfortunately their bedside isn't always the best, especially with sensitive topics like pregnancy. They have probably told a handful of women that day that they were pregnant, they get desensitized. You have to have sensitivity and tact as an OB, you should as any doctor, but ER docs are often lacking in couth.
