    Hello everyone
    Thanks for joining me on another video, and in this video, we are going to be assembling and testing the new Injora tarantula Rock buggy chassis kit.
    I will be using all the stock components removed from my original Traxxas TRX 4M build.
    You will see in detail how to assemble the chassis, and what components you will need from your Traxxas TRX4M to complete this build.
    I will also be doing a quick run at the end of the assembly, just to see its overall performance
    In the next video, I will review the chassis and give you my opinion on it.

      Sounds like you might have to get some rocks from outside and bring them indoors so you can do some rock crawling 😅🤣

    Ola, very nice video!!!
    Loved to watched and it gave me a few ideas. I have a question. I have the TRX4M High Trail F150. Do the links from the High Trail fit the Tarantula build or do I need the links from the Bronco/Defender?
    Happy to hear from you. And keep making such good and informative videos.
    Cheers

    • @rcfungames

      Olá, I guess you are Portuguese?
      If it's easy for you to write in Portuguese it's not a problem as I also speak Portuguese.
      First off, thank you very much
      🤜🤛
      There should be no issues for you to do the conversion from the F-150 hi-trail to the tarantula chassis kit.
      The front links are the same length as the Bronco and Defender, it is just a real links that are a little bit longer.
      So it will fit perfectly fine.
      I got one question for you as well, what are you going to do with the ford f-150 body?
      If you're interested I would buy it off you?

    • @ikut2tan
      @ikut2tan Місяць тому +1

      @@rcfungames Thanks a lot. I am not Portuguese, a colleagues of mine is 😀 Sorry, but I will keep the F-150 body for my son. I want use it to build up his own crawler.
      I would have another question if I mind. Do you have any experience with the Alloy Steel Helical Gears from Injora? I want replace the stock with them. But on the Injora homepage users wrote that they have issues with it, when they use it with the standard axle from Traxxas. Its grindy to turn and has bad binding. I just want to replace the gears. A complete axle from Injora is out of the budget at the moment.
      Thanks in advance.

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  Місяць тому +1

      @@ikut2tan I see I was just wondering because of the Olá start in the last message 😉
      No worries I actually just placed an order for the Ford F-150 as they finally are available in Portugal.
      I ran those gears in the stock axles and I am still running them in the tarantulas I built
      As all I did with the tarantulas was used all the stock components from the Bronco and Defender to build them.
      And I had absolutely no issues besides the bearings not wanting to go on the pinion gear.
      But with a little bit of sandpaper and putting them in the freezer the bearings went right on.
      The trick is not to over tighten the axle cover to tight!
      The plastic on the stock axles is very soft and if you just tighten the cover too much it does that even with the plastic gears.
      Besides that I've had absolutely no issues.
      I will find the video of when I installed them in the Bronco and the defender and share it to you

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  Місяць тому +1

      @@ikut2tan I am actually wrong I never installed them in the plastic axles
      I've got two sets here and I will throw them in the tarantula and make a video for you
      As they are running the stock plastic axles.
      Just to let you know that I build a lot of these little rigs up, and it is really cost-effective to buy the whole axle with the metal gears as it already has bearings as well.
      It's a lot cheaper to buy a set of axles in upgrade a set of stock axles

    • @ikut2tan
      @ikut2tan Місяць тому

      @@rcfungames Thank you very much for your answer and tips.
      I have noticed that two teeth on the front axle gear are ground round. That's why the front axle “bounces”. I have already fitted ball bearings and diff covers. That's why I only wanted to replace the axle drive. But I'll have a look (financially) to see if it's possible to replace the whole axle.
      I'm a bit worried that the stock servo might be overwhelmed by the extra weight (I've installed metal steering rods and brass beadlock wheels). I will see.
      By the way, your TRX4M 6-wheel conversion is impressive 🤩 Really cool vehicle.
      Keep making such great videos

    hey . it.'s me again , just received 2 of those esc's , they dont seem to have a brake function or do they ? , i ordered 2 more esc's with a switch for a brake function , in your opinion is it worth it to have an esc with a brake function, what are your thoughts , thanks again and cheers from Canada

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  5 місяців тому +2

      Hi Larry, it's good to see you again.
      Both of mine came with the break function!
      As there is no way of turning it on or off on these esc's
      Are you sure you took the same ESC?
      It really depends on your own taste!
      I like having a break function as it adds to the realism when you're out on the trail.
      I'm not a big fan of when you let go of the throttle! and it applies 100% break and it is straight in reverse!
      I guess if you were going to competitions it would be beneficial to not have the brake function.
      Now that Injora has come out with the new MB100 ESC, I would say you must give one of them a try.
      You can't really adjust anything on them but they are set up really well for crawling.
      I hope this helps, anything else just let me know.
      Like always thank you so much for watching.
      Greetings from Portugal 🤜💥🤛

      @@rcfungamesnew subscriber and new to hobby . First, your videos give me the confidence to really jump into this hobby. My question is why on this build did you use a different esc? @@Adam_Oden thank you bro, I really appreciate the sub!
      And the feedback.
      Now the reason I used the electronics I did in this video, was because there was no mb100 at the time, and I can't say there was many alternatives out there.
      And I already had experience with the wpl electronics, they are definitely not the best, but when you trying to do a budget build they work perfectly fine.
      Since this video, the mb 100 was released, which in my opinion is way better.
      Before this it was really hard to find a brushed electronic system that was better than the wpl one, at an affordable price.
      And of course another problem I have is where I live, it is difficult to order from some of the big brands.
      I hope this clears up any doubt you had why I used it.
