So after watching this I've come up with what I feel is a great procedure for soft top replacement.
*Step 1:* Remove old soft top
    *Step 2:* Fit hard top.
    🤣

The black art of soft-top replacement. Sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it! It is something I have been meaning to do for my '89 NA but every time I contemplate it I break out in a cold sweat.😧
Well done in achieving Zen level in fitment.

I had to replace the "rain rail" (plastic channel under rear window) on one of these before. It took me forever to torque it down correctly where it doesn't leak. I'd tighten one side only for the other to spring a leak. Definitely the most annoying repair I've done on a car.

Next year I'm planning to buy an ND, either new or an ND1 without the iActivsense crap, and I'm planning to buy a replacement soft top, drivers seat, and possibly steering wheel and shift knob just so that I have factory replacements when those things finally wear out.
