One of the best videos I've ever seen lmao that was hella entertaining, everything was perfect, from sharing the code, to naming the chicken Greg to the whole idea of the video, absolute perfection, the montage and the perfect uncringe zooms, and the idea to fight the warden with a chicken and coding, brother if this is not peak content then what could it else be!
I wonder if one could use it to survive like a 50 (simultaneously triggered) TNT explosion if timed well.. Or a lethal fall damage by touching a side of a cactus (unless both fall damage and explosion takes precedence over invincibility frames). Or an over enchanted bow hit..? But basically if you could actually 'dodge' any serious damage by hurting yourself right before.
Maybe adding the ability to jump up and change positions like the breeze can to Greg would make a more successful chicken. It’d hopefully lead to them living longer and being able to shoot the warden more meaning being able to use less quick damaging to be able to kill it Maybe since we saw the chicken successfully killing it, doing it with less and less attack speed could be a goal for a future follow up
1. Bro could've made the arrows do a lot more damage 2. To buy more time, make the arrows or wither skulls spawn cobwebs when it hits the warden 3. Make the wither skulls auto-target or guide themselves to the warden, a lot of skulls weren't hitting the warden before 4. To make the chicken not kill itself so many times, you could've made it immune to explosions 5. I don't think the warden takes fire damage, so lighting was kinda useless...
Hey, programmer here. The reason the "exploding arrow" move killed Greg was probably because you told *Greg* to explode on an arrow hit rather than telling the *arrow* to do so. Just an observation I made!
Do you see it in the code he shown? (Never coded anything Minecraft-related and the last argument of 'spawnExplosion' is unclear to me but I was considering a similar reason)
My solution would be to have greg have a varied moveset with an algorithm to check what move to use: If the Warden is closeby, teleport away. If the Warden is at range, attack with wither skulls, lightning strikes and a lot of evoker fangs. If the Warden uses its sonic blast, summon a shield half a tick before the blast hits to repel the blast, repeat until Warden dead
hey, nice vid! Just wanted to say something so you could get even more chaotic with this, but in your custom entity class (if you are using that), make sure you override the getDrag(){} function with getDrag(){return 1;}. This will remove all drag from projectiles, and they wont slow down over time. This is really useful for bossfights, and I know this because im in the process of turning every mob into a bossfight. I will probably use this for the chicken boss, but I will replace wither skulls with explosive eggs.
also another idea is having the chicken shoot shulker bullets that have an infinite lifetime unless they hit the warden, as well as having the bullets move faster with a further detection range
A long time ago I used command blocks to make entities affected by the glowing effect get slowness 4 and place anvils 17 blocks in the air and set a torch down wherever they move, essentially turning flowing arrows into anvil arrows. This vid reminded me of that lol
you should make the arrows deal knockback and posionus so he couldnt get close and greg has a lot of time plus dealing damage when warden not being hit W video btw really underrated
I think an easier way would be to just jncrease the velocity of the arrows by a bilion percent while using slowness 2 punch 2 arrows, increase the damage, knockback and slow him down so he can't approach A fast enough arrow can kill a full netherite prot 4 player twice over, and that is accelerated with a payload of like 80 TNT, not even with commands
At the end I'm guessing one chicken accidently hit another one, which caused them all the blow up at the same time, and only damaging the warden for 1 explosion thanks to invincibility frames
in the beginning when the warden was getting shot by like a thousand arrows, im pretty sure theres a built an for not getting damaged by every single arrow based on the red hue of the warden indicating it took damage
In Minecraft, when an entity has I-frames, it determines which single source of damage did the most damage during that i-frame block and does that damage, but ignores everything else until the i-frames finish.

Adding splash potions of slowness as a projectile could've also helped keep the warden away for longer
Or just use tipped arrows in general to apply slowness, weakness, instand damage and poison.
