Hello Jo, What a relaxing video! It was a treat & a total pleasure to watch your creativity slowly develop into such a beautiful starched piece!! Thank you for sharing your process aloud & for such great video filming & editing! This is something I would definitely attempt - soon!!
As an experienced stitcher a lot of this was very familiar to me. However, I really appreciate you sharing how you finished off your piece. Thanks for that!
I love this! Absolutely adorable little bits of colorful art. I am brand new to your channel but hit the subscribe button about two minutes into this video. I’m hooked! This may be a dumb question but what do you do with these gems when finished? Coasters? Mount several on a larger piece of fabric for wall art? TIA 🧵
Thank you! Most of the pieces are individual wall hangings. I show some of my methods for hanging in this video ua-cam.com/video/iMf872CAdPI/v-deo.html We’re thinking alike though, I’ve been considering grouping some for a bigger display.😊
I am enjoying your tutorials especially because of your calm, quiet presentation (minimal only-necessary talking). Slow stitching is drawing me in because it is a peaceful, low stress activity. Thank you for your guidance. I am a fan!
So cute and I love your discussion and instructions as you stitched I learned a lot. It was fun to learn why you did what you did. Your voice is very soothing also. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! They are silicone thimbles. They came as a set. One large for the thumb and the other medium for a finger. Very comfortable! The big hole where your fingernail is keeps your finger from getting sweaty 😊 I bought them locally a few years ago.
I recently found you and wanted to thank you for these great videos. I will be starting my first piece soon and look forward to the calming zen of slow stitching!
I am.so enjoying sitting with you watching you stitch...its wonderful.. How big is your square...the addition of the bird is a stunning touch...I am quite new to slow stitching and hadn't thought of adding a bird or anything like that...beautiful.. Love Sue from the UK xx
Thank you! This square is about 10cm / 4in which is comfortable in my hand. My stitching is so dense that working small allows me to keep momentum and finish what I start 😊
I really enjoyed watching you and listening to you describe your creative process. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos and trying some of your ideas!
I am a new subscriber and consider myself a beginner even though I have done a few pieces of regular embroidery and cross-stitch. This is a new and relaxing way of stitching for me. I love your videos, you are so easy to follow and listen too. If I wasn't stitching along I might be soothed right into a nap! So peaceful. Thanks for sharing this video.
You have inspired me to create a piece. I'm at the point of adding the border. On the body of your piece I believe you said you use two strands of floss. May I assume the border has at least three strands? I'm thinking about the next piece and I need to finish this one. Thank you so much.
I think on this piece I used two strands of floss. Using 3 strands is a good idea too though. When I use 3 strands I switch to a slightly larger needle - the needle I use for 2 strands is the perfect size and with 3 strands it gets harder to pull through the fabric. Switching to a bigger needle solves that issue. Hope that helps! Glad to know you’re making your own stitched piece!
I love this video which just popped up on my feed, I hope you make lots of videos and show us pieces of work you’ve done before as I’m nosy. And more lots more process videos. Thank you 😊💐💕

Leftover pieces from other projects or recycling fabrics. I also sell fabric snippet kits in my shop! www.jomorphett.com/shop
