The all-new Plunge Pop Up cold plunge is a budget-friendly ice bath that's easy to set up. It might look like another Ice Pod, but it actually has some really neat features like built-in chiller ports!

You answered so many of my questions. Thank you for the video.
Looked at the Plunge Pop Up, but ended up purchasing a Pro IcePod from The Pod Company coupled with a DIY chiller install. So far so good. Thanks for all your helpful videos!
You did the right thing. Thanks for watching!
Did you end up literally testing the insulation of both pods to compare and see which one is actually better insulated?
Yes, but that is the standard Ice Pod, not their Pro version..which I would recommend over the Plunge. I say that because the proprietary ports on the Plunge only work with their brand of chiller.
@ interesting! As far as insulation. Which of the 2(pro or plunge) keeps the water cooler longer? And Which is more durable?
@@MorganHogman they're both nearly identical in both build quality and insulation. That said, I'd go the Ice Pod route. They offer way more accessories including an insulated cover sleeve, which significantly improves how long it will stay cold.
I got the standard chiller with the pop up but I did not see the connectors being sold on the site for the standard chiller only the pro one. I sent an email to ask about it and am waiting for a response. Why give the option when purchasing if you don't sell the connector?
Did you end up finding any way to hook up a standard 3/4 inch tubing chiller to this? Or its all proprietary connections?
After numerous trips to the hardware store, I didn’t have any luck finding anything that would work. I called customer service to see if they could help and no dice. That said, they do sell a set of hoses on their website, but again, I don’t know what size the chiller side would be. I gave up. 😂
Just to clarify, any DIY chiller would work with this as long as the plumbing coming out of the pod is reduced down to fit the chiller? Or did Plunge use some kind of proprietary fitting?
Devin, sorry for not clarifying more. So after filming I spent a consider amount of time trying to find a PVC connection that would fit the Pop-Up and was unsuccessful. Plunge sells a hose set for about $25, but again, I'm unsure what size the connections would be on the chiller size. It was a little frustrating despite how much I loved the integration with the pod.
@@ben_chill appreciate the follow up. That's a shame that they aren't being a little more forthright about it, clearly an attempt to sell their expensive chiller but oh well.
