Learn the keys to moving without the ball from one of the greatest shooters in NBA history...Reggie Miller. These keys will help shooters become scorers!
Expect for Reggie lol.. im a knicks fan😂😂😂 but its love hes showing why hes a h.o.f ...i respect Reggie and all these other guys thats willing to teach Michael Jordan is the one i dont respect hes the type to not even teach his own sons the way to be successful
Stop-and-pop is actually pretty hard to get right. It's stopping at the spot, most likely you're back's facing the basket, so you'll need to turn around, feet is positioned where you're shooting form is balanced, or at least to where you get your shot from, and shoot, all within a second or less. This is how Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and a lot of NBA shooters differ from your average ballers playing at the park or rec league. Try doing that, while going over screens, avoiding defenders, with your head going through the actual play, and reading the situation on the court, making sure you get 40+% 3pt pct. (around 3 makes of 5 shots?) every game. A shooter isn't just taking 1000 shots per spot, it's also making the plays so you can make the shot, and making it count when you do get a chance.
Another great guy at this is JJ Redick. He’ll often catch the ball flying off the screen facing away from the basket, jump, and turn midday. By the time he releases the shot, he’ll be squared up to the basket. These pros are just freaking good.
JJ Redick is the best in today’s game at exhausting defenders with his constant movement and setting up defenders to use off-ball screens to get his shot off. You can tell he spent his early years watching reggie miller and studying his game. Awesome to see
Damn I remember being a Knicks fan and HATING this guy, what a friggin killer he was on court. He is top 5 in off ball movement all time shooters with like Bird, Mullin, Reggie, Klay, & Ray. Thats my all time list if I had to choose, all those guys are nightmare without the ball in their hands...they never stop moving
Will King Reggie Miller is not only the Mastermind in running u off down screens in the interior or cutting and constantly moving around on the perimeter to get a shot attempt, but he efficent and shoots off the dribble, the psychological ways he could get inside the opponents head and he's a very good perimeter and interior and open court defender, full of IQ and knowledge in terms of knowing the history of the NBA and creation of the sport entirely, a student and teacher of the game
A true Legend, been nice to see this man got a ring with the Pacers! Hopefully, he can coach a team before he officially calls quite or Retired from TNT
As a kid I only get to watch Reggie Miller on free tv only during playoffs and aside from shooting, what marked in my memory is that he's always running
Based on what Steph Curry himself said, without Reggie, there’s no Steph Curry either Steph himself said he patterned his game after Reggie 90s/2000s players like Reggie and Ray really paved the way
As a young bulls fan I’ll never forget when he push the s**t outta Jordan ... went to the perimeter and hit the game-winning three. Even then all I could do is tip my hat
One best 3 pt shooter of all time!!! U really had too chase.reggie miller on them screen davis brother & rik smits. By time u ran thru all that he was at 3pt line. His best game was against new kincks. He kill then all by himself call choke artist one of best playoff game in nba history !!!!
I used the chicken wing hold on my defender's arm all the time! "Ref. Ref! He's holdin' me!," Then they'd push me to get their arm loose... I knew I had 'em when that happened. Reggie is spot on.
Off-ball movement is a shooter's best friend to be honest. Shooters can get a few buckets if they just spot-up, but they can get a lot more if they can move without the ball
The screen principles are all good. But the bread and butter is still fundamentals. Footwork. Line he said. i dont look at the 3 line. i know where my foot is and most shooters do.
Didier Mukendi yo Knicks won that 1994 easternconference matchup between my pacers and yo Knicks, that rockets team for the Knicks was real issue for yo Knicks in the NBA finals or maybe the finals was impacted and maybe the lost focus after game5 when the nba finals became a after thought while the world was following the OJ Simpson freeway chase

All of them they look grandpa except miller and hill.... I love this basketball players the fought each other and now they giving knowledge each other even they are not playing anymore...
The thing thats most shocking here is how hard players had to work in the 90s just to get a shot off. The lack of physicality in todays game makes it like playing golf with an 18 handicap.
Duncan Robinson is doing great this season, but if he can train with Reggie Miller this off season and just absorb all these knowledge and lessons in how to move without the ball and how to be open then he will be a shooting God next season.

Lol
lol he had sore throat.
Ayman Ibrahim looking like Michael Oher from the blindside
Wanna shut Shaq up? Just talk about shooting. lol
shadapakap Shaq can shoot better then you can bud
Reggie Miller was ALWAYS moving.. With or without the rock in his hands. He was better than anybody coming off screens AND was a clutch shooter.
@TheMrProtocol At least we have Steph and Klay keeping man movement alive right...
Steph gets double screens
They set up plays for Steph.
Reggie Miller got his self open and shot.
Bird I think is the best not taking from these legends or reggie.
Lionel Kennedy he needs to teach Harden and Westbrook some off ball movement
Kid_Light I really want Warriors to win it this year, the best three team mates currently in basketball
These OGs with their retro jerseys on gives us so much nostalgia. These were and still are my NBA heroes.

You mean 2 makes out of 5 shots. Because 3 of 5 is 60%, and shooting 60% from deep is unimaginable

Of course its good lol *its freaking reggie miller*
It hit different when you see they actually played instead of being spectators 🔥🔥🔥💯
Reggie should be a coach

He said he don’t have the patience for it. I asked him myself when I finally got a chance to meet him during all star weekend in Chicago
Daddy LoLo oh cool
Miller was a figure that even M.J felt insecure around
Too far lol
alright alright , lets calm down before anyone gets hurt.
dont forget indiana was the only team that pushed prime jordan's bulls to 7 games
@Ulysses432 they only lasted 6 games at the most unless you can tell me which year

james T I’m from Indianapolis you just don’t know 🤔
Curry took Miller's style and ran with it.. that was his idol growing up, he mimicked his game!
He is even better. Better ball-handling and longer range
@@fuckthechinesevirus9462 Needs that long range cause he isn't 6'7" like Reggie. He can't shoot over the top like Reggie could.
@@jamesehamilton curry would shake you so tough that youd be 5 feet away by the time hes getting the shot up.

Imagine learning this as a child
Who remembers when Reggie hit like 3 or 4 threes against the Knicks with in like 20 seconds to win the game in the playoffs? Clutch moment.

Shaq and 3D are the only ones that look like they couldn’t run a pickup game right now. And 3D might surprise you, he was always just a bit chunky.
This is why a lot of people go into soccer to get better at playing/moving without having the ball
Reggie, D3, Steve and Bones.....4 outstanding shooters.
And you have shaq in the middle

Loving the Mission Impossible type secret agent music in the background. This is an OPERATION we're witnessing right here.
Thats a great explanation and execution.... i liked the part where Shaq wave miller down about illegal screen lol
Reggie Miller’s off-ball game was spectacular 🔥🔥🔥
" Illegal Screens " 😂 Shaq brushes him off lmao
NBA Old School skills🏀💪🏀💪🏀💪🏀💪🏀💪
If this is a real team now with them still in their prime, I'm ready to call this season over lol
Edit: 0:51 that pass from Isiah Thomas tho
Reggie giving out some game... he dirty.. look how he grabbing Smith before he make his move! 😂
It’s cool seeing the actual players wearing their own jerseys!
If you hustle and have good conditioning you are going to make it to the right side of the bell curve. Coaches love it.
The iq of this stuff is off the chain. Not really in slow mo but In fast pace real game this looks like art work!

Nice. Real nice. DA GUYS💪🏼
Breaking down the game. Good stuff.
NeoNitty Reggie a student and teacher of the sport
Ray Allen exemplified not looking where the 3-pt line is but still able to be behind it when needed.
Great Knowledge for basketball players.. They should do this every month for the youngsters to learn!!
Always good to talk and learn about real basketball with old school players.
The one thing I was hoping he would teach was that pump fake after the defender approached him, he always got the foul called, it never failed
