And at the time it feels like the world is against them because they can’t feel other peoples love for them as much either, it breaks my heart to see stuff like this and I am so proud of you for overcoming your addiction!! The Foster System needs to change drastically. Every time I hear these children go in, it's almost always a very negative story; I'm so sick and incredibly sad for the trauma they endure.

I have a friend who works for DHS ..She would get dirty looks from her "COWORKERS" for doing her job. In Philadelphia there is an epidemic of NOT TAKING CARE OR CHECKING UP ON THE KIDS THEY ARE ASSIGNED ....its sickening the stories I hear and the horror stuff that goes on and is NEVER on the news. MEDIA WHERE YOU AT ??? Failing these kids like everyone else. How do these crumb bums have jobs. Bc THEY all stick together. My friend actually went back for their Masters degree applied for the supervisors job and all of a sudden the credentials changed ...now you don't need a master degree. So now all the LAZY KID KILLERS WHO SIT AROUND can apply for the supervisor's job. My friend who got their Masters degree was beside herself when she was turned down for the supervisor's job she applied for. I told my friend go get a lawyer and fight this. How dare this corrupted city get away with DESTROYING and ABUSING OUR CHILDREN. Its bad enough they destroy this city as it is but to have some LAZY SKANK run a department that involves our poor innocent babies, kids,& young adults is just a nightmare right in front of our eyes. DHS is in the Philadelphia Daily News once a year. Unbelievable with all that goes on they'll talk about JUST ONE STORY that will make the news bc its out in the open and some good hearted ppl made a stink about it or we would NEVER hear about it. 2month old baby was SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER the woman who came forward. When the cops entered the room the crummy dirtneck scumbag continued to rape this infant til the cops took that baby off of that skank crumb. They woman said she never knew a 2 mon old baby could scream like that. And thats one story . I can go on and on with stories but I get sick to my stomach by the thought of it. I think these people are not vetted enough and they end up in homes that are just as abusive as the ones they have been taking away from. It’s sad. Dysfunctional People need to stop having kids if they can’t or are not willing to care & love them. I don’t care how much money they put into the system foster care will always be trash because it should never exist in the first place people taking care of other peoples kids is not realistic but the good kind people that do take in other peoples kids some people do it for the kids & others do it for the money not all but most. I remember in high school there was this boy that would always wear dress clothes suit and tie to a public school and he would change or asked other people could he borrow their clothes on the bus before he got to school then he would change back into suit coming back home on the bus he was a foster care child and so for the foster parent to save money for themselves they make the kids come to school in suite & tie Which is so unfair because they’re getting money monthly for these kids so they can buy the clothes that they want it is so unfair to send kids to public school with suit and tie when other kids are wearing the best of designers if you’re going to do that then at least put them in private school where everybody wears suits and ties but to outcast kids because you want to make extensions to your house and buy Cadillacs and BMWs and put extra money in your pocket is criminal.
I know that family reunions are important. And the ideal situation is to put kids back with their families but it’s bs. My mom had 3 siblings for 3 yrs. and the social worker went hard to remove them from my mom cuz she was on top of everything and by her being a diligent parent , it shined a light on the case workers negligence.
So instead of working with my mom, she made it her mission to take the kids. Thought she was punishing my mom “cuz she took money out her pocket” but really the life they had, that money wasn’t covering it.
It breaks my heart because they were on family vacations. Huge christmases and birthdays. And now their in the shelter wit a mom wit mental illness. All because someone rather look good than actually help

When someone like her shares a dream to start a business or go back to school or whatever you could ask them, "what do you think you need to get there or what would help you achieve that goal?" Maybe someone in the audience might be able to reach out and help them with something like advice or contacts. They might be able to help in a way that does not involve money but providing resources to help her get started. Sometimes we just need a little help to get started and then its much easier to keep going in the right direction.
Sad thing is, she won't quit the business for her boyfriend so you think she'd quit to get help from an agency to begin a new life?

Her answer was one of the most intelligent things I've ever heard from a woman doing what she does. She does everything she can to keep aware and keep herself as safe as she can.

On the other hand, I’m in my 28th year of my career as a cosmetologist, and I put in the time and effort in the beginning, and have always kept up with continuing education. I have seen so many of your interviews and everytime my heart just break especially for all these young women. because im a MOM!! and I have 2 daughters that are amazing. some of these girls are my daughters ages! so my prayer is for them all to get the help they need. There’s a lot of psychological and mental abuse going on there that’s been perpetuated and hopefully it stops with her if she gets help. Well, you don't need SWU to know the US is not in the top 10 of best countries to live in.There are a lot of europian countries where the standard of living is better. The top 5 doesn't include the US, neither the top 10. It's not a sign of health to have skid rows in every major city. There's also no health insurance for everyone regardless of income, and that's a big problem.
These videos are so gut-wrenching but necessary to reveal the side of life so many of us don't see. Much prayer and help are needed for all those involved.

What drives people to enslave their own? This is going to keep getting worse if we don't find ways to pull people up. And people think it's not going to happen to their families, but it will.

It makes me so angry that people have to go through this. It makes you wonder, any one of us looking at these stories could have been Paradise if our situation was a little bit different. It’s heartbreaking to see and hear the struggles and suffering of these young women caused by the neglect and abuse inflicted on them from their own parents.
Her innocence and soul were stolen. I have no words other than same one needs to save her. She has no memory of what a normal life was.
