Every time I see the kookaburras, that song pops into my head... "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree/ Merry merry king of the bush is he..." ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for this quick reference guide! It's nice to know how much paint is 'enough' without having to worry about running out or wasting a bunch! ❤️
My husband and I have recently began to pour paint. It's becoming a wonderful hobby for us to enjoy together. This is extremely helpful, as we are so new at this. We also love watching your videos together, on our big TV too! Its so funny that when you are showing the birds, my cat sits right up to watch! She's fascinated by them, and runs to the back of the TV thinking they've flown back there! So funny! Thanks again, from Branson Missouri!
Oh Julie you just a sweetheart taking all your time to educate everyone thanks from bottom of my heart ❤️ Julis thank you so much!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Lisa you are just a sweet angel !!!!
I just love your yard and all your feathered friends. Also on a day like today in Northern CA where it is cold, cloudy, and about to rain, your video made me feel warm.
Thank you for the time with the birds. I look forward to that like a little kid! Thank you also for the time and attention you pay to give such wonderful advice and tools. I just enjoy every visit with you and your gorgeous artwork. Love to the pups.
Thank you so much for all this valuable information. This has truly helped with deciding on how big a canvas and how much paint. You are so sweet to take the time to show us all this important information♥♥♥
Thank you, Julie, as always, for your generous tutelage of us aspiring (and expert) pourers. This certainly helps a lot. And your feathered friends would surely agree-you are so kind.
I’ve been watching your videos and I am just loving your helpful heart and the way you try to help the beginners like me learn from these amazing videos. Thank you so much for your help and your lovely style.
Thank you so much !! i am a beginner and it was a problem for me to know how much paint i must use . you are the only one who takes time to explain the essentials . I am french and i can say that in my country , pouring in not fashionable .
Thank you so, so much! this is such a very good idea. Cm and grams are really welcome. No more waste or even sometime worse when we do not have enough paint in a cup.
I would live there, I would feel in paradise with all those birds in my garden! I would be outside all the time!! 😀 Thanks for this video, really useful for someone who starts with this technique 👍🧡
Thank you Julie! I have learned so much from watching your videos. This is a big one. According to someone else's formula, I have been using about 1/2 of the paint. I can't wait to get started ❤
Thank you ever so much for this video. My granddaughter and I want to try painting but wasn't sure how much paint to use. We do now thanks to you. Love your videos.
Hi, Pamela. I'm in Norwalk (approximately where the 605 Freeway meets the 91 Freeway), and near Cerritos College. You're about 85-90 miles north of me. You can messenger me on my Facebook page if you want to talk. It's just under my name Cheryl Walrath-Duran. Thanks, Pamela. 💚😊💙
Hello Julie, thank you so much for your sharing your knowledge with us. It's so helpful, educational, and very clear to understand! You're amazing and your art is so incredibly beautiful! Much love, from New York!💜
What are the odds this video popped up?? I destroyed a 24x24 gallery wrap last night. It took HOURS to mix the paint and pigments, beautiful hand mixed metallics, only to pour and come up super short. Overstretched the image to the point of ruining the entire pour. Tried to save it and wasted more paint. So frustrating. Using your calculation it seems I had 1/3 of the recommended amount of paint. 🤦🏼♀️ Makes sense now. Thank you so much for this video!! I’ll try your recommendation! 😉😁
This is great information, Julie! I’m taking a snapshot of those measurements. Thank you so much! BTW, love the kookaburras (I’m a total bird lover but we don’t have those in New Jersey); but I never saw a kookaburra eat. I never would have thought they eat meat 🥩 right from your hand!
The measurement guides you showed here are so helpful for someone like me who is thinking about having a go at this thanks for posting and a VERY MERRY XMAS, and a happynew year to you and your family, from Garry in the UK
You are the BEST!!! Thank you sooooo much for this. I can't tell you how useful this video is. You mentioned a couple of days ago that you get your color theme ideas from a website, can you please repeat the name. I can't find the napkin I wrote it on. Thank you for your art and sharing your gift.GG
Dear Artist.... love your ART. Do you have a sheet copy of measurement I may get a copy of? I would greatly appreciate it.i I didn’t see it on here so that I. Oils take a snap shot of it.
Hello! Your property is beautiful! The birds are so divine! 😍 I haven’t watched this full video but I’m so thankful I found it... I haven’t attempted a pour yet (I haven’t even bought supplies yet haha!) I’m interested in joining your Facebook group though. Are you able to direct me to it or is it a secret group? I love watching your videos so much :) xx
You’ve said that you like to use a lot of paint and as do I. Just wondering-do you get cracking from a thick coating of paint as it dries? I’ve been having trouble with that.
woww.. so I've been gauging wrong in the LxW/28? I havent' done any flip pours yet, so that may be where the difference is. Thank you so much for the details and of course sharing the avian wildlife! :)
She's going by centimeters. If you go by inches I believe your right with dividing by 28. I'd have to watch one of Mina's vids again to be certain. I like your bunny, did you paint that?
@@ArtByJulieE I think she gave both ounces and grams, the ounces for the inches? I didn't paint the bunny, unfortunately. It's the Lepus (Hare) constellation. Rabbits represent my birth family's surname. :) I've always had an infinity for them even long before discovering my birth family. And I'm gay, so I searched for a rainbow colored Lepus icon and shrunk it down :)
I use the LxW/28 I just add more ounces depending on techniques. I give myself enough paint to chose what I want to pour off, but I’ve never used 32ounces on my larger canvases. If you’ve watched Julie for awhile, you know she says “I have too much paint” a lot, but she’s very particular on the results she wants & it’s her paint to use however she wishes.
Thank you Mrs. Julie... I had disaster with my paint pour.. my colors mud up... Light purple, dark purple, magneta pink white, violet and the colors didn't work for me. I am so giving up with paint pouring😞
