It's called a shock absorber bushing. AutoZone has it ; www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/lincoln,2008,town+car,4.6l+v8,1443281,suspension,shock+absorber+bushing,10885
It's a product I already have and used it to prevent from cracking and dry rotting. Applied it on my air bags suspension also. Just to help protect and prolong the use.
Maybe because I’m high af lol no negativity intended man 🤙🏾🤣🤣 I was really into the video I watched the whole thing and it didn’t last…. I work in a shop as well so I get it

Thanks for stopping by my brother Love your Lincoln's also. If you do anything else or an update I'll get the notification.
fosho i just sold that 97 they gave $10,500 for and bought a 2008 town limited new project now
So you had to buy the rubber top piece that you silicone separate?
@Ace-44 The new shocks didn't come with them, so I reused the original.
@Pantherforlife Thats crazy. You went with Motorcraft?
Apparently the shocks I bought didn't come with that rubber piece that goes on top. This explains the gap and the clanking

To prolong the life of the rubber grommet that goes in the top of the shock, why should you have to buy another product to make it last longer?

Thanks
And just to let you know it drives a whole lot better. I don't get that choppyness from the rear or fish tailing from bumpy roads.
