So I’m a newer subscriber and getting ready to move to Florida from NY and set up a garage shop. My daughter (3yrs) was watching and saw your daughter in a few videos. At the end she goes “daddy, I wanna be her friend”. You’re always right, life is about the moments with them. Thanks for the videos!
I have had the same issues with battery nail guns and while they have their place for jobs with no access to electricity or air, they have become a problem so I'm switching over to air. Your cart design is perfect for a small shop. Thanks for the idea and a great video. Nice to see a father taking time for his little ones. They grow up too darn fast.
It's really good to show mistakes, especially the silly ones. It lets other people know that it's ok to mess something up. Also, the fact that you just went with it and put another piece on rather than tossing the mistake in the trash & starting again is good, too many people want to show that they do everything right first time and their project is perfect. It adds to your authenticity and is one of the things that makes a great channel. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much I tried to show everything that happened even if it’s bad. That’s the idea UA-cam is supposed to be the real reality TV so I like to keep it that way
@@AGlimpseInside Do you have a secret noise muffler on that trim router? If not, it would be best to not let the little one get so near without some protection for those precious little ears. Take if from someone who doesn't hear so well because of unprotected exposure to gun fire, rock music, and power tools noise as a youngster.
Very cool cart. That was funny on the backwards french cleat. This is why I enjoy you so much we laugh and you show us your human . Because all of us do those very things but you do it on film . Keep it up we're watching the kids grow with you.
Nice Job! Don't fret about the hole in your table. Many of us have done that. I'm making a cart similar to your, so thanks for the idea. Kids are a huge plus. Their just so awesome when their young. Mine are older now and I want a do over..
Great project. I like it. I also like the moving light. Who didn't like wheels as a young boy. It's great that you can have your children out playing and not worry about them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and talents my friend.
I did the 5 minute janky version of this rig. I took 4 HF casters threw them on a scrap piece of mdf-like material and put my compressor on it. It rolls under the bench and can hold two guns on it. yours is much better and more practical.
Previous month I was able to withdraw my first five figure income ever!!! I've been working for this company on the internet for 2 yrs now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the most important thing regarding this is the fact I am not that tech-savvy, they only required standard knowledge about internet and elementary typing skill...Amazing thing about this is that I have more time for my loved ones. I am able to devote quality time with my relatives and buddies and take care of my children and also going on holiday together with them very frequently. Don't skip this chance and try to respond rapidly. This is what I do... *discuss84.com*
Nice build! Not sure it is said already, but I would build an enclosure with sound deadening material around the compressor while I am building a cart for it. It makes it quieter and improves the experience overall.
HI Chris, Workshop Cornish pixies are the best. Loved the brain fart cleat. Great little cart. Never tried compressor tools but do have a small cordless brad nailer. Seems reasonable for infrequent use once set up but do have the odd blank firing. Love the little extra details on the cart, cool design mate.
Great setup. And of course love the French Cleat system you incorporated. On occasion I have a misfire on my brad nailer, but for the most part it does well. Maybe it was a lemon.
Keep these videos coming boss!!!!! Up until I stumbled to your channel I was a fixer not a builder couldn’t assemble anything that had to do with wood for the life of me. Safe to say I picked up a new hobby for the weekends!!!
Hey there. This the first video of yours I've seen, and you've got a subscriber. Absolutely enjoy your enthusiasm (authentic), style and sense of humor is spot on! Going to check out your other videos this evening but wanted to drop you quick thank you for putting this together. great project and really enjoyed the show!
Love the fact your kids are out there with you. My 8 year old daughter insists on sanding and screwing all my projects together. Lol she actually gets mad I wont let her use my table saw. Lol
The cart is just what I need! I have a California Air Compressor too and love how quiet it is. That is going from a pancake air compressor to what I have now. Mine is a bit larger than yours but is to modify your design. Thanks for the idea!
A Glimpse Inside nope not yet but I did clean my work area this week. Now my kids want me to start a UA-cam channel 😂 That’s what I get when I have 4 kids that are all online savvy. My one daughter said can I write up a contract so I could be the video editor.🤣KIDS !!!
Hope you and your family are safe over there? I live in Australia and we are just starting to go through it. I have a what we call a nail gun over here and mine does the same as yours it will work some time and then stop until I pull all the nails out and put then back in . Love watching your video’s keep them coming can’t wait to see what you have for us next .
Great idea, I have the similar air compressor from Harbor Freight and your video gave me a good project to build. Brad nails always have a tendency to shoot out, that's why we always keep our fingers out the way.
Love the project. The info on why you went back to the pneumatic over battery nailer was really helpful as I weigh my choices for a first nail gun. And as always, absolutely love the clips with the kids!!
I want you to know I love your videos. You’re so friendly, I mean like I want to have you as my neighbor, you have a wonderful family, and your approach to your kids in the shop is awesome. I really hope you don’t have people questioning the safety, that would be silly.
I really want to like the cordless Brad nailer, but I really think I have a lemon. Plus going back to the air powered tools it really does feel like they are just so much more crisp, I’m not sure if that makes sense but I really do want to love the cordless Ones more than I do
Ok... dude! wth man! I didn't know I needed a cart for my compressor and now all I wanna do is build one! mine is a little different in shape but the idea remains! I won't have to fumble around on that little drawer filled with nails and other sharp objects prickling my fingers every time I reach in to grab a special adapter! thanks! this is an amazing build and thanks for sharing your mistakes, God knows I've made more than a few of those myself, it goes to show that every project isn't always 100% perfect.
Very cool. Loved the backward french cleat. I would have glued the fix on upside down after it was backwards, then I would have had to sell it to someone in Australia.
like the build and this is something that I need to make. Need to figure out how to fund my shop builds. Momma has cut me off from spending too much money on non needed stuff.
This looks so much better than my compressor bungeed to a dolly. 🤣 I am digging the nail caddy! I’m totally making that. You gotta slow down I can’t project that quick. Looks great my friend. Keep em coming.
Thanks! Loved seeing your kids in the shop. That’s what we call Life. Memories for you and for them. It’s fun to build for yourself too. I liked the brad tray. Mistakes? That’s the way it goes too. I’m not a fan of the French cleats. They jump off every time you remove your tool or hose. Nice cart though. I am gonna build one for myself now. Thank you
I definitely agree with the weight amd consistency aspects of the pneumatic guns, but the convenience of not having to figure out how to run the air hose, especially for a big build is enough for me to stick with the electric. And mine isn't nearly as inconsistent as what you described.
Yes, Makita is kind of bad at battery nail guns. All my powertools are Makita, except nail guns. I chose Hitachi and I'm happy with it ! Thanks for the video.
I don’t think I have a choice because they always infiltrate my shop while I’m building ha ha. Of course always good to hear from you Chuck thanks again brother
Brother your shop projects are all on another level! Love following your journey. It is inspiring. I share your projects with my friends to inspire them as well.
HEY👋Chris!!! I'll take 2 carts please😁 Idk if you know but harbor freight has a purge line with an inline valve that should connect to the bottom of that air tank. I love mine, got it in the corner of garage and don't need to move it anymore, just open the valve and it blows it out of the side of my garage. That is an AWESOME cart you just built right there my friend!! Keep'm comin brother!!!👍👍
Thank you for telling me about that that’s a great idea. Next time I’m in there I’ll have to check it out. Thanks again hope you’re doing well always good to hear from you my friend
Looks great. I’m planning out a cart for the same air compressor but I want to attach a retractable air hose reel to it. Maybe I can modify your design somehow. Now that I’m stuck at home for a while I should have time for projects like this.
Awesome idea if you’re going to do that definitely use lockable casters. I thought about that but then realized if I don’t like these casters I’m just gonna be pulling his cart everywhere LOL
Great build, Chris! This could also be modified for Pressure Washer storage as well! Love it. Also, I have a Ryobi 18G Brad Nailer, and it is HEAVY even without the battery. It also fires very inconsistently. I used to think Cordless was the only way to go, and some are very handy, drills, drivers, etc. My inexperienced advice would be before you by, stop by your local store and get a feel for the weight and of it feels good while holding it. Anywho, enough from me....Please stay safe and well down in Florida. I'm in New York and it's a bit scary right now. Peace.
Definitely good tips on getting a feel for them before buying. We are doing OK down here I hope this scare blows over pretty quickly! Y’all stay safe too!
Very cool. I love the cart. I can't believe all the stuff you've added just since I've been over there. And, I see a new tool in the background (@12:30) that I can't wait to hear about. You know which one I mean. Keep up the awesome work.
My thoughts... great video, but I have the whole line up of dewalt 20v nailers. I have run hundreds of thousands of Brad's through my 18g with not 1 issue. Yes they are heavy, but no hose and no cord and no noise is well worth it. Your makita is VERY bulky to say the least. The new second gen Milwaukees are even better and lighter. They both have their purpose though, as a remodeler I'd take cordless all day every day for the reasons mentioned above. For stationary shop purposes, pneumatic is the way to go. Eith all that being said, the dewalt framing nailer is good for small remodels but is NOT good for actual framing. I'm not a fan of makita tools though, as I think they are really bulky compared to other brands.
_(Looks at own air compressor, sitting on a furniture dolly. Looks at cool project cart on the screen. Looks back at compressor on furniture dolly. Wipes a tear....)_
Have you had to do any modifications for the exhaust port on your air compressor? Any other air flow holes added to the cart in the back panel? I live in the desert so we have to make sure that air flow is great around tools that produce heat like that.
Chris i love your energy, sorry to hear that your makita cordless nailer is having issues. honestly I use a battery powered Ryobi brad nailer and have never had an issue with it yet. nails are always consistent depth and never jams. Love the build.
Go figure right? To each their own with their brad nailers as I just got a bad one I think. Thank you as well and I appreciate you being here glad to have you along for the ride
My Ridgid 18ga brad nailer fires 100% of the time, but the depth is inconsistent. I need to get a bigger compressor, but pneumatic is DEFINITELY better, with the notable exception of portability... and noise.
If you want to go even further, you could get some soft copper and run it from the discharge (hose connection) side of your compressor, and run it back/through the wood. So basically hardline your compressor and have your hose connection through the wood in the back for a cleaner look. ;) #OCD
I have that same compressor and assumed I'd need to replace it as I build my shop up. Do you have find it sufficient for most of your pneumatic needs? Obviously HVLP is out, but does it fall short anywhere else? Thanks, and really enjoy your upbeat attitude on this channel. Very refreshing.
Thank you so much. I love this compressor and I would not change a thing except one and it’s just the nature of the beast. Is that you can’t use a whole bunch of compressed air to clean things because the tank empties so fast but that’s about it
I think all your shop projects are great. I am going to build one as soon as I get a new air compressor. This brings me to a question for you if you don't mind answering. I have been researching quiet compressors for my shop and I noticed you have a California Air Tool 1 gallon unit. Do you find this big enough to run all your nail guns and do you like it? Do you recommend this compressor or would you suggest another brand or size? Thanks for your channel because I know it inspires me to build projects. Thanks for the info. New fan here.
I absolutely love this little thing. It is whisper quiet you could have a conversation with it going off and no one would know. Yes it has run all of my mail goes great
Love the idea. Is this for just rolling around the shop? I would need a kart to take to from site to site. So maybe some bigger wheels on the back. Cool project!!
So I’m a newer subscriber and getting ready to move to Florida from NY and set up a garage shop. My daughter (3yrs) was watching and saw your daughter in a few videos. add 20 years fire and rescue back before hearing protection was even considered (let alone the use of a SCBA)
Very cool cart. That was funny on the backwards french cleat. This is why I enjoy you so much we laugh and you show us your human . Because all of us do those very things but you do it on film . Keep it up we're watching the kids grow with you.
Thank you brother. I love how you take the time to interact with the kids. It is the time you spend with them that they will remember, not the toys.
Thank you brother. Isn’t that the truth. Making memories is what it’s all about

Awesome little cart. Because of your motivation, I have designed a wall in my garage too. Using French cleats. Thanx.
Great project. I like it. I also like the moving light. Who didn't like wheels as a young boy. It's great that you can have your children out playing and not worry about them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and talents my friend.
Thank you so much. And I love having them out there. Even if they try to steal my equipment LOL

At some point whatever you Gotta do to get the job done is the best thing possible. Thanks for sharing brother
really nice cart. I love the Baltic Birch
I have an unhealthy obsession with Baltic Birch. Thank you William
Great project. Need to do the same, but add a hose reel on it as well to each cars in the shop.
Nice build, very well designed.
Thank you David I appreciate that sir
looks good bud! you should put a retractable hose on it. it it would save you more room on the french cleat.
That’s a pretty good idea but I didn’t put locking casters on it but I might do that in the future
looks good mate i love it when it is a fully professional job no loose ends everything is explained well!
Thank you Adam that means a lot I appreciate those kind words

Great ideas.

A Glimpse Inside can you have plans available?
Great setup. And of course love the French Cleat system you incorporated. On occasion I have a misfire on my brad nailer, but for the most part it does well. Maybe it was a lemon.
I think it was a Meyer lemon. Maybe not a full blown lemon and not quite as Sowe

Great idea. I hate looking for the hose , etc. etc. now everything will be in one place. I hope !!!!!
That might be the most honest statement about making. All in one place I hope. Too funny

I was just trying to figure out how to store my brad nails. I like that tray you made. Thanks for the idea! 👊😎
Make that little tray is actually really awesome. Definitely make one I take it with me wherever I go
Super useful build in my future.👍
Sorry for the late response ma’am. It’s been about five days have you already built the cart LOL

I might make one for my new home build. I have an old rigid compressor that would be perfect on wheels.

my tip for some one who has brad nails blow out is use some cheap flush cut snips a lot easier than bring out the grinder
That’s definitely a good idea I just have my angle grinder at the ready at all times with a battery. And it’s a bit satisfying to use

Awesome Frank glad to hear it
looks really good ... i am partial to cordless nail guns but have both and use both.... there is a place for both ... love your shop
I really want to like the cordless Brad nailer, but I really think I have a lemon. Plus going back to the air powered tools it really does feel like they are just so much more crisp, I’m not sure if that makes sense but I really do want to love the cordless Ones more than I do

Good choice! I have the same air compressor, and much prefer to use small light weight nail guns, compared to the huge bulky battery powered ones.

I'm not a fan of makita tools though, as I think they are really bulky compared to other brands.
That cart is dope and i like your shop. I’m jealous 😂👍👊
Thank you man I appreciate that
Good build Chris enjoyed thr whole video with all this mess going on in the world. Look forward to future videos. Take care bud.
This mess is crazy. I manage a bakery for a local massive supermarket and I’ve never experienced anything like this as I still am working every day
Definitely nice cart. The rust water from a compressor is nasty stuff! Nice job!
Oh yes the rest water is one of the grossest and surprisingly fast moving materials ever
Great job.
Question: how about the oil lube in the air gun?
Great project!
Thank you I appreciate that
Bad ass lil cart!
That’s what I should’ve called it nice choice
lol nice and clean...
So fresh and so clean. Thanks brother
_(Looks at own air compressor, sitting on a furniture dolly. Looks at cool project cart on the screen. Looks back at compressor on furniture dolly. Wipes a tear....)_
Nice job, as always Chris!
Thank you Frank!
Have you had to do any modifications for the exhaust port on your air compressor?
Any other air flow holes added to the cart in the back panel?
I live in the desert so we have to make sure that air flow is great around tools that produce heat like that.
I love it. good work
Chris i love your energy, sorry to hear that your makita cordless nailer is having issues. honestly I use a battery powered Ryobi brad nailer and have never had an issue with it yet. nails are always consistent depth and never jams. Love the build.
Go figure right? To each their own with their brad nailers as I just got a bad one I think. Thank you as well and I appreciate you being here glad to have you along for the ride
@@AGlimpseInside I'm glad to be here, I too believe you were the recipient of a flawed brad nailer as I do know makita tools are pretty good.
My Ridgid 18ga brad nailer fires 100% of the time, but the depth is inconsistent.
I need to get a bigger compressor, but pneumatic is DEFINITELY better, with the notable exception of portability... and noise.
Great project and the new shop is looking good!
Thank you so much man
Great job👍
Thank you
If you want to go even further, you could get some soft copper and run it from the discharge (hose connection) side of your compressor, and run it back/through the wood. So basically hardline your compressor and have your hose connection through the wood in the back for a cleaner look. ;) #OCD
That’s a pretty good idea
Yes it has run all of my mail goes great
9:25 Yeah, my motto every day is also to "not mess up too much". 😂
Love the idea. Is this for just rolling around the shop? I would need a kart to take to from site to site. So maybe some bigger wheels on the back. Cool project!!
Absolutely maybe use some dolly wheels with a little bit of knob on them that would be pretty bad ass
